Good evening, friends~
Hope your Christmas Day has been very special thus far.
We had a lovely time at my SIL's house, it was great to spend time with Adi's side of our family, and beautiful to see the snow in the country.
We plan to throw in a Christmas movie, snack on holiday food, and relax.
Hope you have a magical night!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

xx

Merry Chirstmas everyone!!! Spent the morning playing Nightmare Before Chirstmas Monopoly with my fiancé and daughter then went to my sisters to visit my niece who lives in Oregon. After spending the afternoon with them, we (my fiancé, daughter, sister, her husband, nephew, cousin and his son) are going to see Star Wars: TFA! Hope your days has been wonderous and blessed!! Merry Christmas and we'll see you all around the forums throughout the year!!

Sounds lovely made! Things are still busy over here. I hope you enjoy the quiet. :) It's my favorite part of Christmas!

Well another Christmas day is done.
The family and guests have gone home.
The dishes are done and the packaging thrown out.
That sense of relief and satisfaction that almost all went well. The remaining glow of joy that watching others open gifts brings. The delight of getting what you really wanted.
All is now in the past and we can take the time to breathe deeply and just relax.

Have a Merry time at your parents!
Hope you are having turkey!! ;)

Gobble! Gobble! With mashed potatoes, turnip puff, dressing and gravy. We cut back on the side dishes because my dad can't eat anything (he's never been able to swallow since his cancer treatments twelve years ago) we didn't have any extra guests joining us this year so we kept it simple.

I'm home relaxing and my husband has just gone to bed. O'Malley is nibbling on his rabbit and chicken food and I'm on the hunt for a Christmas flick. Right now I'm listening to the Canadian Christmas stories on the news and it's warming my heart.

The young lad who rents from my parents two doors over from their house works for NORAD and helped track Santa last night; it was so nice to meet him and feel connected to my merry forum family at the same time.

How cool is that! What a neat job!

Prayers for your Dad, friend. Bless his heart.

Glad you got your turkey!

Sounds like you & O'Malley will have a relaxing night ❤️ Enjoy the Christmas stories & movie!

Thank you, Auntie. I've never been a big fan of the idea of "marriage" but the past few months seem to have really swayed my opinion. I'm excited!

I didn't want to get married either; I thought it was just a piece of paper and didn't really matter, but it turned out to be a good decision. I realized I could commit to someone in the presence of family and friends and not trip over my feet at my own wedding. It's strange how all these years later, we're actually more in love than when we exchanged special vows. We kept it reasonably small, about 60 guests. You've had some sadness in your lives lately and I imagine (as we experienced some ourselves back then) that it helped you realize your importance to each other. Thinking of you.

My husband said he wants to go see it with me.

I don't believe him, but he's a Harrison Ford fan so maybe he will. I had a cat named Harrison back in College. I'm interested in going - hope you enjoy it.

Thank you; my dad is a remarkable person; cooks for everyone else because he enjoys it.

My husband's leg was really bothering him, he didn't join us for dinner so they gave me a plate to take home for him.

Can somebody have a piece of shortbread or a chocolate turtle for me; I don't eat sweets, but I'm missing those in particular this year.

Miracle on 34th Street with Edmund Gwenn is on - I have it on DVD, but I'll watch it with the Christmas ads; it makes it special. O'Malley is already resting beside me on the sofa, curious about the reflection from my reading glasses. If you see a typing error - the cat did it!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas morning. What a magical day! Kim and I had a splendid first Christmas together with my family. Last night, we had my brother, his wife, her father, and a few members of his side of the family came over for our Christmas (Eve) dinner! We'd never had turkey dinner and everything on Christmas Eve before, but my brother works today at 6pm, so we had to change our plans a little. Even if it was different, it was still delicious and we had a wonderful time.

Santa was quite good to Kim and I this year. I received plenty of clothes for running, a few games, and much more! Don't worry, Simon even made it out very well. He had a stocking full of goodies and toys. Of course, he also loved all the wrapping paper, too!

Thank you for yet another wonderful year, MMC! I am sorry that I have been a little more absent than I would prefer in the past week or so. I've been super busy with plenty of things. Going to Cornwall for Kim's grandfather's wake and funeral was certainly the most difficult thing I experienced all year... and the timing did not help, either. Thank you for al the well wishes and support earlier, too.

Finally, Kim and I have been keeping something secret since December 5th - when we went to Alight at Night in Morrisburg, Ontario. At the end of our adventure, I proposed. Kim said "yes," and after 9.5 years and living together for 7 of those, we are engaged and will be getting married in 2017. Until December 23rd, only her family knew. We wanted to keep it a secret and surprise my side of the family when we came to the Sault. Initially, it was suppose to be December 19th, but the funeral delayed everything until the 23rd. Either way, we are very excited! Hopefully the photo below shows up.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!

He sounds very remarkable, sweet, and thoughtful.

Sorry to hear that your husband's leg was bothering him, he is in my prayers.

I am having a turtle for you right now :p

Good evening,

Christmas 2015 is winding down, the kids are asleep, we're not long behind.

It was a great day, food was good, company was good. Just a fun relaxing day.

I did get some loot from Santa too, a Santa holding a wreath, a 30 inch tall Santa wearing Rudolph slippers and pajamas, a Santa suit ugly sweater, and the DVD of Vacation.
Watching It's a Wonderful Life now, but I think it will need to be continued tomorrow.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.
