Like everyone else, I got the feeling that Christmas came suddenly and was over quickly. But it was a good one.

Back at work today and tomorrow---then another 5-day "weekend"! But it will be the last for a l-o-n-g time. Starting next week it'll be 5-day workweeks for several months (except for holidays when the office closes).

But I'm looking forward to the time off, anyway, to enjoy crocheting and other projects, along with some "sofa time," before getting back into the everyday routine. Hoping for more happy surprises and fewer unhappy ones in 2016.

I heard about tornadoes in the Dallas area. Has anyone heard from CAH and SIT?

We're expecting a wintry mix from late tonight into tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it won't affect the roads too badly, as I have to come in to work. We haven't had a hard freeze yet, so I'm hoping that will keep it from getting too treacherous.
I would imagine that as warm as it's been that even if it's below freezing temperatures now that the sleet wouldn't really make the roads too icy? I'm hoping that at least...

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

No PCBs here. If I'm not mistaken, the 12 Day of Christmas actually start on Christmas Day, so we still have Christmas happening!

I'm only working one day this week, then I'm off till next Monday. Sweet!

Just a few more days left in the Mayor's chair. It's weird, but it's ok.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
What's better than my 2 day week?
Answer: Brad's 1 day week!

Precisely! That's the whole idea.
Focusing on the Christmas SEASON from Nov 13 to Jan 1 gives it 50 days of depth, with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day being the icing on the cake.
AND once January 1 comes and we start again, the count to the next Season has already been running down for fifty days, which substantially shortens the wait!!

Rainy here with temps in the 60's. I hope it dries up for a few days before cold weather returns for the weekend.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
The last one for 2015.
Thanks Crown! You're the best!

only 1 day of work, nice ! I am working the next 4 but only 4 hour days so not to hard to do.
No PCB here either, to much thinking about the upcoming move on March 1 and how I will be decorating the new place next Christmas !
You will remain our mayor here for ever, once a Christmas mayor always a Christmas mayor !
March 1 is what I call the day of hope. I like all the months for some reasons but Jan/Feb I can do without personally :).

MsRose- Prayers headed your way.

Snowflake- Prayers for you guys and Adrian' s family today.

Prayers for Snowberry's family and all who knew her.
Thank you, friend. We appreciate you thinking of us.
xx

Good morning MMC
Hope that everybody is getting back into the groove after our holiday and yet we still have New Year's eve to celebrate!

I hope that everybody is staying safe with all the storms reaching across the US right now.

This year has been an epic year of many challenges, surgeries, hospital stays,.
I feel blessed that I stumbled across MMC in the middle of July, while I was obsessing with Christmas cards and decorations.lol

I know you were also busy out there but can somebody send some good energy my way tomorrow?
While it's my last surgery of 2015.
I have found out that I have other major surgeries coming.

Thank you friends wishing you all a happy day where ever you may be !!

Don't forget to hug your loved ones and Fur babies :rubhead too !! Lol

Thinking of you MsRose! So sorry to hear that. I hope you'll have strength and resilience to move through each of them and keep your head up. Take care! Glad you are here with all of us!

Sadness envelops me with the news of Snowberry's passing. There was this hard core group of us at merrychristmas.com - Jayish, Gracie, Ralphie, Cedar, Radio jon, Snowberry, and me. That truly is where it all began- for me, it was work related research that lead me to that site. Snowberry always ended her posts with such inspiration. Though, I repeat back to my annual refrain, In a world surely gone mad. we have each other. Here's to a great 2016. I will be here more often. Resilient..

So sorry to hear this Binger. Thinking of Snowberry's family and of you and all of Snowberry's friends.

Good afternoon .. came back from a Walmart a little while ago and picked up Christmas cards for next season and new ornaments for the kids Christmas Trees. Over the weekend we bought them larger trees for their bedrooms. Our daughter wanted a 4 ft white tree with white lights and we got our son a 3 ft tree tree with color lights. Got to love 50% off sales :) .. kids have already mentioned they want to string more lights in their rooms next year too. Picked up new light-up garland for inside too. Heading to the grocery store in a few ... Got to figure out what to do for dinner tonight :) have a great day!

Love after Christmas sales on the good stuff! :)

Praying everyone in the path of the storm is safe!

Home ~ so nice as it is getting a bit nasty out! Actually got in just when it started to sleet. It is now freezing rain out, but hopefully that won't last long. A long day today. Something woke me at 4:18 this morning and I could not go back to sleep. It was a good thing, though, as I was able to get on the road much earlier than anticipated and everything was either open earlier or someone had canceled so we got in earlier. Nice! Was even able to get some grocery shopping done. The best news is I finally found Palmer's vitamins. All the places I used to buy it discontinued it so this made me very happy, but not as happy as the P-Cat. She loves that stuff!

Be safe and merry!

Requesting that anyone with the power to do so - send some cool weather to Florida if you could please? 90 on Christmas day. Today, the real feel was 95. Since I don't live in the southern hemisphere - this isn't normal to me. LOL For those of you in storm areas, I pray for your safety and hope you're in situations where you can and do enjoy the snows.

I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas! :) I'm ready for next season to start. These days after the holiday always feel depressing. Though I was thankful to still have my son here. That may be a very different story for years to come now. He decided to go Navy.

Hope you all have a great evening!

So good to see you, graywolf!
Merry Christmas!!
Best of luck to your son, I will keep him in my prayers.
Sending cooler weather (20 degrees here & dropping) and (((hugs))) your way!
We could get 10 inches of snow =]

Good Evening MMC. My brother is bringing over some food (probably pizza and other not so healthy food) for dinner with his girlfriend who arrived in NY on Sunday. They will be leaving Wednesday. I've enjoyed my brother's stay here but it's hard when you're up 5:30AM and working all day to come home late, have them bring food and expect you to run out afterwords to go bowling and such till midnight when you've gotta be back up again tomorrow at 5:30AM after a long day today.

you found some great deals !
I would look for more, but moving in March and that would just mean more to pack
Did you figure out what to have for dinner ? We had homemade slowcooker chili, perfect on this very chilly night.

home again and the weather outside is frightful ! So glad to home safe and warm. Half way home the ABS light came on in the van so need to get that checked.
Hope the rest of you in this storms path are keeping warm and safe.
Glad you are home safe!

It is frightful here, too. Roads are slick, blizzard like conditions. Worried about the commute tomorrow morning.

Drive carefully!
Hope it's just a bad sensor in the van.
