Christmas Countdown - 2017

We spent the day Saturday going to different dress shops looking for a prom dress (that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth). Well, I spent the day driving Elizabeth and Nancy around, while they shopped. I did find a shop that sold only grilling and smoking accessories. I bought some hand-chipped mesquite wood, and some butt rub. I liked that place!

I'm back at my desk trying to remember what I was doing before I left Friday. It's tough getting older!

That grilling/smoking store sounds like a fun place! We grilled steaks last night. YUM!

Here ya go Brad..this place has a ton of stuff and you might even be close enough to drive into LA to visit their store. I have ordered online from them, their rubs are the best and sauces are unreal.

She found a couple that she really loved, but they're going to check another place this weekend. I can see the dollar bills floating away!

There is much wisdom in your counsel. Some of our grass is starting to green up, but the trees, shrubs, and bulbs had enough sense to check the extended forecast (60s, today, 30s Friday - Sunday), and remain laying low.
 
I never told you all - our friends stopped over last night. Andy saw my Countdown To Christmas sign...he about had a fit!!! He could not fathom that I would keep that up all year...and (try) to keep it up to date. LOL! I wish I would have videoed his reaction!

Good Afternoon .. hard to believe being in the middle of Feb and we had our windows opened for 3 days now. Got a lot of yard work and prep done over the weekend and even got the bikes out and went for a bike ride with the family.

Last night we swung by our old neighborhood, one of our old neighbors had passed away last year and his wife the year before. The kids are selling the house and were clearing out stuff and placed a lot of Christmas Decoration at the curb. It was already pretty picked through by the time we got there but we did picked up a small box of snowmen ornaments, a wooden snowman, a wooded santa and christmas tart warmer.

I really this 3 day weekend. Back to work tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hope your oldest is feeling better quick! There is so much going around. I had a cold over the weekend again. Jim has been coughing for a week - getting better now. My sis said her belly doesn't feel right AGAIN this morning. Another sis has a sinus infection. The weather has just been too warm this winter = too many bugs!

Thank you so much Holiday. The doctor doesn't think she has the flu which is good but she feels awful. She also has a fever. Thankfully she doesn't have to go in to work tomorrow. We'll see how she is by Wednesday. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in quickly. The poor thing can't catch a break. Yes, there seems to be so much going around. I hope you're all back to feeling 100% soon!!!
