Quitting time!
We are going to a funeral viewing tonight for my aunt. I am off tomorrow for the funeral. Never a fun thing to do!

We are hitting the pediatrician tomorrow. Carolinas cold never fully went away so now the cough,fever and congestion are back. Mikes mom and sister both have bronchitis so I am hoping it's not that.
I actually downloaded a fever tracker to help keep track of her temps. She is sleeping now so I am going to read. Have a great night everyone

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day and hard to believe in 1 week March will arrive. Looks like our warm mild 2nd half of February will continue pretty much through the end of it. Work got busy yesterday when I least expected it to so that took me away from catching up on a few things but I should be able to these next 3 days. I got an email telling me about my Nintendo Switch shipping next week so I'm kind of excited about that. Other than that just looking forward to hopefully a good day today. Have a great Wednesday!

Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be cloudy today with a high of around 50 degrees. I walked Maggie, tidied up the house and started laundry so far. I need to get started on breakfast in a few minutes. I'm going shopping with my daughter later today, she ended up accepting a job offer as a CNA in a hospital. She'll be working part time while she goes to school for nursing. We need to get her scrubs and a new stethoscope. She's excited, I hope she loves it. Not too much else going on. I'm making baked raviolis for dinner so I also want to stop for a loaf of Italian bread. That's about it. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

(And passing inside of one week to ANY of our Milestone markers is always exciting!)
But which one are we approaching? The presentation of this intriguing question beckons for an answer.

First:
Days to the Season: 264
Days to Christmas Day: 306
Now, to relieve the suspense, the next pending Milestone (a scant SIX days away) is none other than the 300-Day Christmas Day Window, and its opening will herald the commencement of a double 200's count sequence.
(So far -- so soon!)
It was a tad cooler yesterday. A tease by Mother Nature just to let us know she still has winter on a leash and can release it any time she chooses.
Furtuantely for us, she intends to keep it fettered for the balance of this week.
(Thank you, Ms. Nature!)
We are at 55 degrees here, currently.

As always, this never escapes Carl's attention and he's already got a goodly stock of fired twinkies and plenty of sweet southern iced tea handy at the Shispering Pines front door with which to greet all visitors. Plan to be one of them.
And until we see you there tonight, have a Wonderful Wednesday, one and all!

I'll be there Crown! If it can't be a MD just yet, at least we can spend it together at the Pines with Carl! I hear he's ready for Spring with this warmer weather in the South!
My deepest sympathy Holiday. No, not a good time at all. I try to spend my moments remembering how blessed I have been to know the person who has passed and how they have enriched my life. And of course that I will see them again.Quitting time!

Morning NMC. I pray she is feeling better today. I know for myself that on those rare occasions that I have gotten a cold, it always ends up with Bronchitis.
I hope both of your were able to get a good night's sleep... my prayers go with you and yours.
For your daughter...
Greetings Edge. Our lamb of a February will turn into the Lion of March. We are now looking at a winter storm watch that will take effect tomorrow evening and stay that way until Friday afternoon. Could get up to 8" of fresh snow (good thing the ground warmed up enough to pull out the Christmas decoration stakes). The it is projected to stay in and around the freezing temps until the following Friday. No problem though since it is SD and still winter.
Have fun buddy with the new game system, but please don't lose too much sleep playing it...
Morning HMG. Sounds like a nice paced day ahead. I hope she enjoys it as well, especially since her chosen field of study is in the medical profession. Enjoy dinner, it sounds fantastic.

Well my youngest daughter made it 15 mins of school before I got a call that she was vomiting in the nurse's office. She has the stomach bug again!! She is home resting on the couch but looks so pale. Ugh!

Good Morning SnowflakeMom. This has really been a rough month in the MMC community for family illness. I will add my prayers for your daughter and of course the rest of the family that they do not come down with it as well.

I see that Carl is planning to serve more sweet tea tonight at the 'Pines. It's good stuff, but I find that the older I get, the less sugar I can tolerate. I hope Carl has some un-sweet made, too, so I can mix the two for some half & half. Put in a good word for me, Crown?
I'm still catching up here at work. I've been helping my boss with his work, while trying to stay on top of my normal workload. It sure makes the day pass quickly!
