Good morning MMC! Merry Monday!!! With the time change, the darkness this morning sure made it hard to get out of bed. Weekend went too fast again.

Are all you East Coasters prepared for a blizzard??:mad: Hope you all stay safe & warm!!! We aren't supposed to get a whole lot here - I've seen 1-4" predicted. We shall see! It's supposed to start later today.

Everyone, have a great Monday!

Morning Holiday. Just got all the rest of the shoveling done and getting ready to head out for a few now that morning traffic is almost over.
I hope your snowfall predictions stay on the low side... take care.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

The Rattlesnake Roundup was this weekend, and I didn't even go LOL. We've been so busy with the kids and their obligations, there's been no time for community events. It's a good thing I gave up being mayor, eh?

This was opening weekend for the play that Jacob is a part of. He's playing bass in the orchestra. It was a production of "9 to 5", the Dolly Parton movie from 1980. The play was very well acted, but it was a bit more adult-themed than I was prepared for. It followed the movie almost exactly (well, aside from being a musical), but I guess I'm used to seeing productions at our local theater. There would never be cursing or portrayal of drinking, smoking marijuana, or such strong innuendo. When did I become such a prude? LOL

It's very cool today, and I finally get to wear long sleeves!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Morning Brad. We use to have a Rattlesnake Roundup when I worked on Manzano Mountains down in Albuquerque, NM. We had a lot of them that were confined within the fence line border and would come out and cause some havoc to the guards and people working out there. So we caught them, cut off the head to the poison glands and then threw them into the freezer till we had enough. Then it was time for a BBQ.
A prude? No, how about a person with good taste that has enough command of the English language to express himself without the need for "four-letter words".
I remember when I stopped my son from watching a movie that seemed like every other word was cursing. When he looked and me and said, "But Dad, people do talk that way." for his response, mine was, "Yes son and people all use the restroom too, but I don't want to watch it."
Keep warm...

Merry Saturday!

I hope this finds everyone doing well. Prayers for all!!

Just got the electricity back on a few hours ago; it had been knocked out by a major wind storm that blew through here on Wednesday afternoon. Long time to be without heat ~ got down to 38 degrees in the house this afternoon. Brrrrrrrrr doesn't begin to cover how cold that felt. Thank God the power came back on when it did as it is supposed to be below zero tonight with the wind chill.

Have a merry, safe, and warm rest-of-the-weekend/week! :)
Oh my!!! That's very cold in the house. BRRRRRRRR!!! Hope you are nice 'n toasty warm now!

Good Morning everyone!!!!In Greece we had some high temperatures last week but it seems that the winter is still here.today its a bit chilly.i know that easter is around the corner but i can't wait for 2017 christmas season!!!!!!
It will be here before we know it!! :D
Have a great week!!

Happy Sunday! Another bitter cold morning out there. And now the forecast officially for Monday night through Tuesday evening is for 12-18 inches of snow for my area. Yeah...not looking good at all. This may be a really short week at work then because if we get that much snow I will stay home on Tuesday and I am already off on Friday for Rollins 1st birthday and to have a 3 day weekend to welcome "spring". Spring where are you? Have a great day!
I can't believe Rollins will be 1 already. Time really does fly. I hope he has a great birthday!!!!

Good morning ~
Happy Sunday!
Today is my mothers 75th birthday. I'm throwing her a party later this afternoon. I need to finish my cup of coffee and get moving, lots to do!
We are expecting 12-18 inches of snow on Tuesday. I think I'm ready for Spring.
I would appreciate if you would send up a prayer for Maggie. I had to bring her to the animal hospital Friday night because she was struggling with her breathing. Another round of X-rays show significant collapsing of the trachea. Praying these meds can keep her comfortable.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Oh gosh. ((((HUGS)))) & prayers to you & Maggie. I hope she's doing better!!!

Dang, 246 days until the season....amazing how fast the time ticks away....when we get into the 200's there will be signs of Christmas coming along....CIJ, Hobby Lobby will put out decorations....almost there!

We got a couple of inches of snow last night. Y'all, these were the biggest snowflakes I've EVER seen. It was amazing! Probably was the prettiest snowfall I've ever seen. Didn't last long and won't be around long today, but it was pretty to look at. Bambina kept saying is the Elsa's snow? Funny.

Today, my Hogs play Kentucky in the SEC finals. I'm supposed to cook Lasagna tonight, so I better get up and get going. Yall have a great day!
How cute!! Glad you got to enjoy some pretty snow!!!!

lol@long sleeves...lucky.

It's been in the 50's all day! That's awesomely cool for us in March! And I think it's supposed to dip into the upper 20's one morning this week. WOWOW!!
See I knew what I was talking about when I told you to stay warm!! ;) :p

Happy Sunday almost heading into another work week!! Hope you all had a good weekend. Pretty quiet for me but that's ok. Just trying to stay warm and we have a blizzard watch..ugh! They are saying 12-18 inches of snow...I hope more for just the 12 or less...we'll see!
We aren't supposed to get much snow, but according to the radar, it SHOULD be snowing very soon!!!
Stay safe & enjoy!

We're also among those expecting about a foot of snow on Tuesday ... Winter Storm Warning and Blizzard Watch in effect. Gearing up for a day or two of working from home.
Hope you stay warm 'n cozy, working from home!!! xx

Merry Monday Merry. Okay, I know I'm not the first to say that...
So time for some crafting, cooking or is there another facet to your life that will occupy your working at home? I am glad when the winter snows hit that I only work a little over a mile away. In such cases even slower travel does not mean leaving home more than an extra ten or fifteen minutes.
Keep safe young lady and I'll pray your weather rebounds quickly. Maybe the snow will help produce a beautiful Spring in your yard...

When working from home, the only way I can stay on top of jobs---which can come at any time---is to refresh my office e-mail every 10 or 15 minutes, so I can't do much else. In between, I have the TV on and do some crochet. When something comes for me to work on, I print it out, do the work, then send back the corrections and comments via e-mail. Repeat as many times a day as necessary. With most of New England in the same snowy boat tomorrow, I'm hoping the workload will be light ... :) ... but you never can tell what will be required. Happily, Mr. will be able to work from home tomorrow, too. I'd go nuts if he were out in the sort of storm they're predicting.

Good Morning, MMC~

Hope you had a nice weekend.

Wishing you a blessed start to your week!

*Hugs and prayers for all*

Happy Monday, Snowflake...hope all is well!!

Happy Monday! Just going to have a busy day at work and then basically watch the storm. Sounds like it's going to be terrible all day Tuesday. If it does then I'll just stay home. Not going to risk my life trying to get to work in a blizzard. I'm not that important lol. Have a great day!
Have a good day, Edge!! I agree...I never risked my life when I had to go into the office, definitely not worth it..work will be there the next day!

Good morning MMC members!!! Today started out early for me, around 2AM. That was because yesterday was kind of full. I got off work at 7AM, got to church at 8:15AM (for an 8:30 service), stopped by Hy-Vee to get my daughter's prescription, went over to the theater to get tickets for the big screen showing of the Quiet Man (with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara), then back home and took a short nap. We made it to the movies for the 2PM screening (me, my wife and daughter) and after we got back home around 4:30, I decided that I was due for some sleep. What can I say? Next thing I knew I was waking up on Monday morning. Not a lot of accomplishment, but overall a nice day.
I just finished doing some shoveling from our 5" total snowfall and have a few of early morning appointments to attend to. After that, I am going to try to take it easy. I do not do that very much on my days off, but every now and then, it does become necessary.
All of you in the path of this large storm, please be careful.
Edge: Good planning my friend. There is no amount of cash worth your safety.
Martine: Good morning to you. Not sure if this storm goes that far north, but I am certain you guys have had your share during this winter anyway.
I was glancing through some cartoons and came across this one. I actually knew a couple much like this when I was in the service...

Isn't it great to see a vintage movie in a theater with an audience? (Even though they're running digital files instead of film these days ... )

My FIL liked "The Quiet Man." We found an original one-sheet (movie poster) and had it framed for him as a gift. Actually, now that I remember, we got two posters for him---he also liked "Fanny." They hung side by side in my in-laws' dining area.

Merry Monday...back to the grind for another week. Just working today and of course waiting for the snow. We just got upgraded to a blizzard warning!! I hope we do not lose power. Hope you all have a good day! Hope everyone stays safe in the path of the storm!!

Good Morning Everyone throughout the length and breadth of the great MMC Nation!

Closing fast now on our fourth Milestone Marker of the 2017 Countdown Season.

Today's numbers are thus presented for your unconditional enjoyment:
Days to the Season: 245
Days to Christmas Day: 287

And, hard though it may be to understand yet alone believe, we find ourselves just TWO days away from the 1/3 point to Christmas Season 2017.
(And I'm afraid to even look at the chart to see what the NEXT marker is and just how close it might be!)

Well, winter is definitely re-established here in central North Carolina and yesterday morning's light snowfall punctuated it.
Cold weather will remain in place throughout this week, but we are not predicted to get any more precipitation of the frozen kind.
Right now, we observe that our new week has commenced here at 31 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday Guys, regardless of your weather scenario.
And I hope your week has begun in proper MMC fashion!
Stay warm!!!
