Yeah I measured (a few hours ago) over 12 inches of snow. The drifts in front of my home were actually about 2 feet deep from the wind blowing it. I cleaned it all (took me 2 hours) and everything was covered again lol. Probably gonna wind up with 15-16 inches from this storm. Had a little sleet mix in but thankfully it turned back to snow pretty quickly. Last thing we need is extra ice on top.
I'm glad it didn't sleet long. That stuff is just nasty...and COLD!!

15" of snow in the backyard and its almost a whiteout. Heard they are giving up on plowing for awhile since they cant keep up.
Hard to imagine!!!

Hello Everyone, Hope you're all enjoying your Tuesday. We are under a blizzard warning until tomorrow here in the northeast. Looking forward to Spring for sure. I'm excited about the 1/3 mark coming tomorrow! We are about to climb on to what I like to call the "bridge" segment to the season. The second third of the countdown connects the end of the first third to the beginning of the last third. Definitely some hope there! Take care.
I like your thinking!! :)

Good morning MMC...my kids ended up with a 2hr delay. It is so icy out there. We ended up with about 9 inches of snow or so. I was hoping it would warm up but that doesn't seem to be the case. Just work for me today and hope you all have a great day!

Thank you so much Holiday ~
Please know that I will keep Gracie in my thoughts and prayers as well. Sending hugs back your way <3
Thanks so much HMG!!!

Good morning, everyone! Spring is kind of in the air around here (no snow at all!) and we're 1/3rd into the countdown for the season start. Have a great day!

+i
Did someone say spring????

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, My Many Merry Milestone Meeters.

And today we meet Milestone Marker number Four!
(Details pending)

Days to the Season: 243
Days to Christmas Day: 285

Today.
As of this very day.
We have completed the first THIRD of our voyage to Christmas Season 2017!
(The time passed quickly, didn't it?)
Is it too soon to look ahead the next marker?
Yes.
That can wait until tomorrow.
(Unless, of course, you are anxious and want to look at the chart.)

Another cold day here yesterday with little sun and some wind. Over an inch of rain fell Monday night.
Mild compared to what the northeast is facing, but less than pleasant compared to what we were experiencing here last week.
More of the same is in store for the balance of this week, so we had best get used to it.
Our current temperature is 25 degrees here in Raleigh (which does not go together with the azalea blossoms very well).

Well, Carl is aware of how wearing the cold weather has been on everyone, so today, in a break with tradition, a complimentary cup of HOT tea is being offered at the front door along with the usual fired twinkie.
(Isn't that camel thoughtful?)
I plan to be first in line unless someone else beats me there!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

Happy Milestone Day, MMC!!!!

Tea?? Come on Carl!!! You know coffee is the way to go!!!!

Morning MMC! We wound up with around 15 inches of snow here. Some places got less, some got more. Now that it's mid-March can we start spring? Unfortunately, it looks like the rest of the week the temps will be below normal. This snow is not going to be melting too fast. I guess it's better if it melts a little at a time the next couple of weeks. It definitely looks like Christmas out all over again. Going to go to work slowly as some of the roads are still icy. Have a good Wednesday!
Hope you had safe travels.

Morning dawned with snow still falling here, and we still have to make it through a whole day of snow expected to fall yet. My snow gauge is overflowing so thats 2' of snow,it was full at 12a.m. Seems our lack of plows is due to alot of them being transfered to NYC...hmm. We have twice the snow now that they got.
WOW!!! Enjoy all that snow - and stay safe!

Good morning ~
Happy Pines Day!
My daughter's having her wisdom teeth taken out today. Praying it's not too bad. She has off from work Thursday & Friday to recover. Hopefully she'll feel well enough to go back to work on Saturday. I obviously didn't make any other plans for the day. I'll just have to pick up her pain pills from Rite Aid. Other than that I'll be home keeping an eye on her and working on the laundry. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!
xx
Praying all goes well for your daughter & she has a quick recovery!!!

See you tonight for a big celebration!!!! Woot!!

Good Wednesday morning! Very happy to be working the afternoon/evening shift, at least by then snow conditions will have improved. It's crazy this morning, over 200 Montréal buses are stuck in the snow. I'm about to take Loki out, he'll love it I'm sure. Hope everyone is safe and has power this morning.
Oh wow!! Hope the roads clear off before you have to go to work. And I hope sweet Loki enjoyed his walk!! :) Have a great day Martine!

Our storm changed over to sleet and freezing rain in the late afternoon and evening, so we got something less than a foot of snow here, I think. Mr. left for work this morning and the roads were fine, but he fell hard on the ice twice before reaching his train, so he came back home to work from here. He has an awful bruise on his hip, and I don't want to fall and rip out my incisions, so I texted my supervisor and she said I should work from home by all means. So here I am again today. I hope the March sun will melt this outdoor misery soon.
Oh no!! I hope your hubby is going to be ok, & he heals quickly!!! xx Enjoy your day at home. Stay warm!

Good Morning .. well my office has no power so I am working from home today or until the power is restored. If am home all day then I will work on on a bean and ham soup for dinner. Roads are pretty clear here but its very cold and windy today and that wind is enough to bring down more tree branches. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.
Nice that you can work from home today...hope you get to stay there all day & make bean & ham soup. Sounds tasty!!! Have a great day!
