Christmas Countdown - 2017

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day. The sun is coming out and it looks like we will have a nice day with temps in the 60s. Just a mid-week at work and then home to relax a bit. These spring weeks seem to go so fast the weekend never feels that far away. I know the kids get kind of anxious this time of year at school wanting summer to come. But around here the schools stay open until late June so they have a ways to go still. Everyone have a great day and see you all at the Pines!

Late June? We'd have a revolt around here LOL. Next week is the last week of classes for Elizabeth, and this week is finals for Jacob.

Good morning MMC !!

again, same weather as many of you have. We have rainfall warnings out stretching into tomorrow.
Sourdough bread that has been on the rise all night is in the oven and it smells great in here.

This past Saturday,my nephew graduated from Masters college and Seminary with a Bachelor of Theology.... with honours!
here he is with his dad and mom

he will be working at my church this summer as he has been hired on as our summer intern.
So proud of him.

Off to work this morning, with tomorrow off so I can get a bunch of cleaning up done around here.

I bet it does smell great in there. I made homemade cinnamon raisin bread at our trailer at the lake over the weekend. The smell of bread baking is as good as eating it - if not better!

It's going to be a nice day, sunny with a high of 63 degrees. Just walked Maggie, having a cup of coffee and a bite to eat now. I need to tidy up the house and start laundry. Maggie has a groomer appointment later this morning, I'm going to run a couple of errands while she's there. I guess that's about it for me. Hope everyone is well <3

It's 52°F this morning! Wow, that's refreshing! If only some local property owner hadn't decided to use the nicest day we'll have for the next couple of months to burn the woods near Bellville. Smoke is everywhere. Grrr.

The kids are in the middle of finals, so it's a little hectic around the house this week.

Cooler yesterday, but that was good as it had become a bit too warm and humid in recent days. The cooler, drier air was refreshing and it came with plenty of sunshine.
Today should be nice and sunny too, with upper 70's for the high.
We currently stand just under 60 degrees at this hour here in the capital city.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! So far it's a beautiful, brisk morning. Started off at 36º but bright sunshine & the wind is calm!!!! Rain is supposed to move in tonight with rain all day Thursday & Friday. Better enjoy the sunshine today! Supposed to have a high of 58º!

Not much going on today - just work....which Wednesday is always my slow day & today is extra slow. Will be a LOOONG day! I'd rather be busy!!

I have to tell you, Emma made a Mashed Potato Casserole last night for her & mom for supper. I was nearly drooling it looked so good! 1st she made noodles & put them on the bottom of a casserole dish, then she browned (ground) sausage & onion together & made a white gravy using flour, butter, milk & a little salt - mixed the sausage with that & poured it over the noodles. Then she made mashed potatoes & put that on top of the sausage gravy & topped it with cheese. OMGosh - it looked amazing. Mom said it was very good. Emma said Mom cleaned her plate! (which is unusual) I made her write down a recipe so I don't forget to try making that sometime!

Happy Pines Day, MMC!!!! Its gorgeous here right now with the sun shining and a temp of 50 degrees. The best day of the week by far. So I think I'm going to take advantage of it and head to the farm store just north of Indy. I was going to head over to the Amish store on the Ohio border but decided I didn't want to deal with that traffic. I also need to go get mom another lamp and nightstand. She fell getting out of bed yesterday and broke both of hers. I hope everyone has a great day!!!!
