Good evening all.
Well, the school year is over for me. Friday was the last day. However, it is strange, I feel like I have school on Tuesday. My wife does have school Tuesday and Wednesday next week. I have to go in for a couple of hours next Thursday to interview our last two candidates for principal.

We went around to some grad parties today. Fun to see parents, teachers, some former students and of course the graduates.

Now that the school year is over I should have some more time to hang out here.

A very entertaining evening! We recently found a set of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas (originally shown on PBS in the 1980s) on DVD for a great price, so we got it. Mr. sang some G&S with choirs in high school and college, so he's familiar with some of them. I always thought they would be way over my head, but they're not. They're very funny, and the music is great. Saturday is going to be our G&S night while we watch our way through the set.

Morning everyone. Today is the last good day of the week for awhile, to much rain this year. I managed to make my once a year supply of Hotdog sauce and git it bagged up and frozen yesterday. I make a Greek style and it has no beans or tomato products. It does have a splash of some 130 proof in it. Everybody always asks why they can catch a hint of "corn"..lol

Good morning...happy Sunday!last night was my daughter's dance recital and she did great. Unfortunately she came home and still had a fever so I think we will have a low key day and just hang around at home. I think it is going to be warmer today but I think the clouds will still be around. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Sunday afternoon! I hope everyone is enjoying a great, relaxing day. To end our vacation, we are having perfect Summer-like weather this weekend. Needless to say that we've been spending a lot of time outside with Loki. He is getting a lot of exercise running after his neon orange ball at the dog park. This morning there was a Jack Russell at the park and he was wild with energy, it was fun to watch, but all Loki cared about was his ball. We've just finished grocery shopping and my Achille's tendon is giving me pains, so I'm going to take it easy this afternoon. Not exactly looking forward to work tomorrow, but such is life.

Happy belated Memorial day weekend everyone (if I can say that?)
We have a lot of american soldiers here (over 300 I think) at any time
One of them helped my daughter a couple a weeks ago when she fell off a roof
(and broke 4 bones in her foot)
She remembered his name (Joseph) and was so amazed that he had helped her
And I thought, of course he helped her. He is an American ♥

Morning MMC! Hope you are all well after the holiday. It was a good one for us. The rain stopped so we could BBQ but we actually turned the HEAT on lol. That's got to be a first on Memorial Day. Forget the a.c. turn the HEAT on! They said it was the coldest Memorial Day we've had in at least 14 years. Well back to work now and only a 4 day work week plus my busiest week of the month. Have a great Tuesday!

That's crazy! We had a pretty warm weekend with rain off & on. We had bbq ribs Sunday night on the grill - our neighbor made them. Delicious! Hope your weather gets better this week! xx

I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend. My daughters engagement party was on Sunday, we had a beautiful day. Back to my regular routine today. I have to do some food shopping this morning. My mother is coming by later this afternoon to visit. I'll be working on daily chores in between. I guess that's about it. Hope everyone is well!

Back from the beach and back in action.

And it appears most of the action has been right here!
Just look at the count and where it has gone since I left:
Days to the Season: 167
Days to Christmas Day: 209

And what do we see that really shocks us?
Well, how about the fact that we are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to the Two-Hundred Day Christmas Day Window and the commencement of a double-100's level count sequence.
(These are exciting times, indeed!)

Humid, but otherwise nice weather for the visit to the cottage. The only rain we had fell in the late evening after all outside activity was completed.
We are just about ready for our 47th consecutive rental season! I have one more brief trip to make the middle of next week before our first renters arrive on June 11.
We have started our day off at 70 degrees here in the central part of the state, and rain is a possibility..

Making another batch for the neighbor now. 5 lbs or burger in it...gunna take 8 hrs to simmer. So I knew he was gunna watch me make it, before he got here I put my secret ingredient in a coffee cup..lol He kept watching and looking around, I got it all ready,poured in my coffee cup and told him that was it for a few hours. He asked when I add my secret ingredient and told him it was in the coffee cup I just dumped in.LOL.. I finally told him what it was.."Its LIKKER!" Also informed him I was down to 2 quarts left..so he was gunna have to take a trip with me back home to reload.

Merry Afternoon/Morning to all,

Can't believe that was the last three day weekend for us till end of August! Kids are on their two week half term break from school. Summer holidays are soon approaching. Don't know where this year is going. I'd very much like to slow down from this point.

Good morning all...happy Tuesday! We ended up going to my SIL's house yesterday for a little cookout...it rained but the food was still good! Just back to my regular routine of working and the kids are counting the days when school is out (6/16). Hope you all have a great day!

[Yuletide Junkie]

The Memorial Day weekend was a good combination of productivity and hanging out. The outdoor Christmas lights came down (last lit January 5th), and the gutters got cleaned out. Cold, rotting vegetation soup is the best way to describe the latter. On a more appetizing note, the rotisserie chicken enchiladas got baked. That's tomorrow evening's supper.
We caught "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2", ate supper out, and had some ice cream, on Sunday.
