Just finished mowing the grass. Not as hot today which was nice. But the great thing... I was able to listen to Kringle Radio. Funny, one of my hours of DJ'ing came on too.
I really enjoy helping out on the Santa Tracking. I certainly plan on it this year too.

Glad to hear that! I heard part of your Colonial hour on my way to work and really enjoyed it.

Well, the first football practice for the season is in the books. Henry went to his weigh-in and got done early. He then asked mom if she could take him to practice. She explained that he would only be there for about the last 20 minutes, but he said he really wanted to go. So she brought him. I am glad he is excited!

Animal Kingdom on Saturday, Hollywood Studios on Sunday, EPCOT today, and Magic Kingdom tomorrow...

I don't even know how I'm going to get through Magic Kingdom. My feet hurt and I'm exhausted. We have walked 33.6 miles since we have been here. That isn't counting the just standing around and waiting...

If you could measure fun, I promise you it would be more than that!

Good Monday afternoon! Rainy day but that's ok. We caught up a bit on the dvr and I took a nap in the afternoon. Funny Loki story: David had left his glass of milk on the low table near the couch. We were watching Shaun of the Dead and all of a sudden realized Loki had stopped playing with his toys. We called him and that's when we heard a slurping sound. Yep, he started drinking from David's glass. He had never done that, sneaky one. I couldn't stop laughing. Loki keeps finding ways to suprise us. Hope everyone will enjoy a great evening!

Good evening Martine. Nice story about Loki. Reminds me of a dog from long ago named Domino. I was eating pork chops on the bed to keep him away from me, as he was just a pup at the time. But there was a pilot's case near the head of the bed and before I knew what was happening, he jumped onto the case, then to the bed and had a pork chop off my plate and chowing down. Probably should have been a little mad, but I was surprised at his innovation.

500 pages and counting. This Monday is nearly in the books and time to catch a few winks. Managed to do some work, got some rest and had a nice dinner + TV time with the wife. All in all a day well spent.
Lots to do in the morning before getting ready for another week's worth, but for now... everyone have a nice night and a peaceful sleep...

Morning MMC! Back to work today for me after a 3 day weekend. Yesterday was the coolest July day in 12 years. Pretty amazing as I was out in shorts and shivering. Well that won't last long in July and I didn't feel ready for that cool weather yet. Made me think of the Bers coming though. Happy Rudolph Day #7. Hope you all have a great one!

Good morning Edge. We had a cooler one yesterday, but today will get back up there just a bit. I will have a three day this weekend, mostly due to attending a wedding on Saturday. The one thing I have to say I enjoy the best on those "cooler" mornings is the aroma of the early day, instead of taking in warm, moist and muggy air.

Good morning MMC, Happy Tuesday!
It's going to be mostly cloudy today with stray showers and a high of 73. We're currently at 63 degrees and I'm loving these cooler temperatures. Not too much going on here, I just need to some food shopping at some point. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. My oldest has a follow up job interview this morning so I'm going to get started on breakfast.

The next pending marker is, of course, the 100-DAY SEASON WINDOW and it lurks just 11 days into the future. (That's SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow, Guys!)
Then, the day following, we enter a DOUBLE-DIGIT count to Christmas Season 2017 and all of its glories!


Well, OK. We did see a bit of a relief yesterday from the H&H conditions that have been plaguing us for about a week now. The humidity was not really down much but the temps declined.
Today should see us back up into the mid 90's again but tomorrow could bring a pretty nice mid week for 'Pines Day!
Right now, we perceive 77 degrees on our back door thermometer.

Good morning MMC! And a beautiful morning it is!!! It was hard to come to work today. I was outside this morning with the dogs - it's sunny & 62º - just perfect. I could have stayed out there with them all morning! Ah well - work beckons!

Thank you so much HMG! I can't wait for her appointment with the different vet, even though it makes me nervous. I just worry about her - and her future! My FIL was over last night & he said to Gracie "I heard you haven't been feeling too well - sounds like you might have to be replaced soon!"

I certainly hope that's not the case, but I couldn't believe he said it!! MEN!

I hope your mother is feeling better today, I'm keeping her in my thoughts. That is too bad about Emma, it's so hard to find good people to help and she seemed to be much more than just help. If I may ask, what is prompting her to leave at this time? Thank goodness for your sisters who will be there.

Emma is a gem! We are so sad she is leaving us but very happy for her reason. She is getting married! We are very excited for her! We have known since March but in the Amish community they keep their weddings a secret until just a few weeks before the wedding so we haven't really been able to talk about it. They still haven't announced it but she has told her friends & family now. She gets married in October.
The 2 sisters are 2 Amish girls who live close by Emma. They have been care giving for 6 years, so hopefully they work out well!

Emma is a gem! We are so sad she is leaving us but very happy for her reason. She is getting married! We are very excited for her!
