Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Monday and Happy Milestone Day!
Busy day yesterday, we looked at at several wedding venues with my daughter and her fiancé. They ended up setting a date! January 4th, 2019. Less than a year and a half away! The catering hall is absolutely gorgeous. My daughter wanted a Christmas time wedding and the decorations at this place are spectacular. Of course the decorations will still be up for them on January 4th, we had that written in to the contract just to be sure! It will be magical. We are super excited!
I have an appointment later this morning with the naturopathic doctor. I need to stop at the health food store afterward. Other than that I'll just be working on my daily chores. My neighbor went fishing yesterday and brought us over some sea bass last night. My husband wants to have that for dinner tonight. I think I'll just pick up a pizza for the girls. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

How very exciting a date has been officially set!! It makes me dizzy to imagine how glorious it is going to be with a magical christmas theme! WOW! What a hectic few months ahead for you with christmas and the wedding to plan for. I look forward to hearing about it!

And those kitties are absolutely gorgeous! When we moved appartments years ago and our landlord allowed dogs, we jumped on the chance and got Loki. Enjoy your new home and kitties

Love the idea of a Christmas-themed wedding! Has your daughter picked out a dress yet or did I miss this? I admit I watch wedding shows a lot and love seeing what the venues and dresses look like. Good Morning, Friends!
It's certainly good to be back after a nice family reunion down in South Carolina.

But what's also so good that it's incredible, is the fact that we have arrived at another Milestone Day.
And not only that, but the marker in question is the THREE QUARTERS point to Christmas Season 2017!
That really doesn't seem possible, but yet........
(Now, I'm truly afraid to check the chart for the next marker. We will postpone that until tomorrow!)

Days to the Season: 91
Days to Christmas Day: 133

Our weather in SC was warm and humid (as it is there every year in August). We had a heavy rain Friday night into Saturday morning, but it occurred when everyone was in bed anyway.
(The sound of rain is great for sleeping!)
Today may see some rain here in the capital city as well, and this fourth and final quarter of our Season count has begun very cloudy, at 74 degrees.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

It was a long, hot weekend filled with attempts at mowing the lawn, mixed with mower repairs in the hot sun. Also, repairs to the pool pump. That was my Saturday. Then yesterday my brother wanted to cut down some huge pine trees in his yard. That was a lot of work, too. Thank goodness for Monday!!

On the bright side, we had boiled peanuts at Nancy's parents' home Saturday night, and a great lunch at mom's yesterday.

Good morning MMC! Merry Monday! Merry Milestone Day! It's another beautiful day!

Gracie had a pretty good weekend. She had a lot more energy but yesterday while we were out & about she started with diarrhea! And lots of it. UGH! Poor girl!! Jim is off work today so it's up to him to keep an eye on her & decide if he needs to bring her in again today, or what! She has an appointment tomorrow afternoon if she doesn't go today. That girl!

Morning MMC! It's going to be a beautiful 83 degree sunny day with low humidity. Not much better weather you can expect for late summer. Did I say late summer? I guess it is getting towards the latter part of summer now. It's amazing that we're just 19 days till the Bers and everything starting all over again. Going to try to rest on my 4th day off in a row before the long stretch begins...won't be taking many vacation days till Thanksgiving. Have a great day!

I got an email this morning about an "end of summer sale" WHAT??? Booo!

Morning, friends! Going to be a busy Sunday! Nothing was accomplished yesterday, so i gotta double-time it today so that I am ready for the week. Gonna read the boards for about 30 minutes and then I gotta get at it! Have a good Sunday!

Merry Monday all!

Hope everyone is doing well. I have been thinking of you all as we move closer to the start of the ber months. Wow can you believe it!

Things have been hectic as we settle into the new house and complete some refurbishments and redecorating. Working hard to finish up by end of summer so the house will be ready for autumn/halloween decor!

I am enjoying a cup of Lipton. Maybe a couple of you may know what this means. My mum is here!!! She arrived August 01st and will be staying till end of September. It's been really good to have her here especially as it has been such a challenging year.

I also have some news. We have adopted two kittens! As some of you know, our previous house was too small for pets so this has been such a special milestone for us!! Here they are ...

Morning MMC! Back to reality...but it was a nice little summer vacation. Now back to work till Labor Day Weekend and the start of the Bers. I got a good amount done and also relaxed over my days off. Just handling one day at a time at work this week as my supervisor is out and I always just hope nothing major happens when she's gone. Looks like a nice day predicted with highs in the low 80s. Have a great Monday!
