That particular dream I still have in my 60's!
Not only do I realize I haven't been to class in a long time and must be WAY behind, I usually can't find my locker where the books I need are, or if I find it, I can't remember the combination to the lock. I try and try until I just give up, thinking that the class must be over by now anyway!
Most unpleasant dream!

Sounds familiar! (unfortunately!) But the good news is that it always turns out to be just a dream!

I hadn't thought of it as a 100-day gift---but it is!
Should go pretty well---it's basically filet crochet.
And there was a 25% off coupon today, too!
(But I have two afghans ahead of it to make!)

I've got some scarves to get knitting. It's hard for me to be motivated to knit when it's so warm out, but the time has come if I want to get them done before the big day! :) We can encourage each other!

Good Morning, Folks!

Guess what?
(Well, actually the banner above told you.)
Yep. It's another one of those Milestone days!
Which one? Read on.

But first, as always, we present the day's count information:
Days to the Season: 58
Days to Christmas Day: 100

And even the least discerning among us can easily tell from our second number that we have arrived at the one and only ONE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW, which in turn means that tomorrow, we begin a binary double-digit count to our dual goals.
(Things are really starting to pick up now, Folks!)


Still on the warm side, but really not bad at all for mid September, which is technically still summer.
Another hurricane is meandering about off our coast but the best track prediction shows it passing by relatively harmlessly out to sea by the end of the weekend.
Behind it? Two more storms. Too early to tell yet where they will go.
For now, we greet this mid-September weekend at 68 degrees here in the capital city.

@Holiday thank you for thinking of us. We are fine on this end and friends close to area are all okay too. I don't even have words anymore :( The city centres are inundated with uniformed officers and military on patrol. Hard to put at back of your mind but life has to go on.

Good Morning MMC !!

its morning again.....going to pick up my girls around 9:30, head off to church then home for a nice Sunday brunch together. Not much else planned for today. might head down to the river and go for a walk. They are having dragon boast races this weekend.

Penny is wanting her breakfast so I guess I will head down to the kitchen and get it for her.

Good Sunday morning! I awoke at 5am but managed to fall back asleep and stay in bed until 7am. I can tell this day is going to be a real scorcher, it's already 24°C/75°F with the humidity and it should reach 33°C/91°F by midday. Getting laundry out of the way early so it can hang outside to dry and then we have to go grocery shopping.

I have to say that It was a good movie, as long as I closed my eyes during the scary/intense parts. The test for me was if i would be able to sleep last night and I did, with no Pennywise the clown dreams. No movie on deck today but surely continuing to watch Homeland season 6 in our air conditionned bedroom after our errands are done. Have a wonderful day everyone!
 
Morning MMC! Today we expect a high of 79 under partly to mostly cloudy skies and the chance of a shower. Saturday felt very summery. The forecast was wrong as they said mostly cloudy but the sun was out most of the day. Had to run my a/c some last night. Just a relaxing Sunday today with a few errands. Trying not to go too crazy today. Rollins decided he wanted to get up early on a Sunday but during the week when I have to get up early he wants to sleep. Go figure! Have a great day!
 
Good Morning, Day-After Friends.

Yep. In case you were away or just not paying attention yesterday, we passed a major Milestone marker, the 100-day Christmas Day Window.

Which, of course, leads into this:
Days to the Season: 57
Days to Christmas Day: 99

And let me tell you, seeing that "99", and realizing that now BOTH of our counts consist of double digits, is as exciting as reaching the 100-day point. Perhaps even more so!
(Now, things will really start to move quickly, Folks!)


Still warm but not uncomfortable, thanks to the lower humidity.
We had lots of sun yesterday and are predicted to get plenty more today, with highs in the 80's.
Right now, it is 70 degrees under calm, sunny skies here in the central part of North Carolina.

Can the Panthers win against Buffalo this afternoon? We will start to find out at 1:00 PM!
