Since I had a day at home on Saturday, I went ahead and got out the Halloween & Thanksgiving decor & put it all up! Next few Saturdays are busy, so DH & I decided this was the best time to get it done.

Three months from today is Christmas Day! We'll probably be opening gifts at my in-laws around this time of day then.
Hi Whitney. Nice to hear from you. I do have Fall decor up now, which will change just slightly to Halloween in a week or so and then finally over to Thanksgiving on the 1st of Nov. Hopefully during your busy Saturdays you will still find a moment or two for kicking back...

Morning Merry. Did you have too much on your plate this weekend? I can understand. Even though my days off are Sunday and Monday, it really seems like Tuesday comes around before I even have the time to relax a bit. Hope your last week of September goes very well for you and yours...

Thanks!

Not an unusual amount on my plate this past weekend, but I was more burned out from the workweek than I realized. Plus Sunday seemed like one of those days when numerous little things were constantly going wrong. So I just didn't get a full measure of weekend recharge. Saturday evening was best, watching movies with Mr. while I crocheted. (We're gradually watching our way through a 1944 serial and a set of "Mr. Moto" mysteries.)

Wishing you a relaxing Monday!

Morning Brad. Is this still the results of the storm? I had one that was going straight to my house from the street and had to hire a tree company to remove it before it decided to enter my home without knocking. Though I'm sure the squirrels we unhappy as they used it to go straight onto my roof...
Have a great final week of September...

Yep, still Hurricane Irma damage. I have to contact the county today, to get a voucher so I can deliver my storm debris to the landfill at no cost. So far, I have about two 16' trailers-full.

Thanks, I hope so too!
We get to go to a ball game at Fenway later this week, and I want to be ready to enjoy that!
Well now that's something to look forward too!!! ENJOY!!!

Yikes!!

Good Monday Morning Festive. I hope all is going well over in the UK. I was grieved to hear of yet another attack on your fair country. I can't understand so much hatred. I know it exists, but can't see anything but disaster for those who embrace it.
On a lighter subject, I trust the house renovations are coming along nicely and that your are all going to have a Christmas to be remembered long down the road. Have a nice Monday, a great week and a fun end to the month of September...

Good afternoon CGY,
How are you doing?
The attack in London was horrible especially so soon after previous major incidents. It's a terrible time we live in but I continue to believe in hope and love.

The renovations are stretching on. *long sigh* I want nothing more to wrap things up so we can enjoy this cosy time of year with all of our favourite things. Still though, atleast it is progressing even if slowly. It may be mid October now. I keep Christmas thoughts in my head to get me through :)

Did you manage to finish up your yard work?

Hi Festive. I hope and pray she will have a very safe flight. Two huh? How far away does she live? I'm glad you guys had a nice time and obviously you both look forward to this even each year. More of us should have these times ahead of us and for us.

Praying for safe travels for your Mum! How many hours are her combined flights? (((HUGS)))

AWE! I have no doubt you do! It's so nice you two are able to do this every year! xx

Thank you both and you are so right. We are lucky to be able to do it every year. I guess the distance just makes it harder sometimes as well as knowing mum is getting older. It won't be long till I'l be telling you guys about her trip for next year I'm sure.

Hmmmm I think it's about 16 hours including checking in time.

Blimey! I hope you get your voucher soon. So sorry to hear about the damage. Prayers for your community. I just can't believe the amount of tragedy to hit so many places.

Thanks for asking. A large portion of it is done. Not all the grass area, as I was doing just a little to see if the "shade" area variety woul d take before I invested in more seed. Happy to report that it has done really well. Probably will not get to any more this year, but come next Spring the rest of the bare areas (that were grassy before the dogs came around) will be filled in. The pavers are about halfway done, but fortunately I do not require very warm weather to complete the project, so that presses on.
That's what keeps me going Festive is that every little task I do gets me one step closer to completion. I keep reminding myself that a little here and a little there is better than none at all. Hang in there. I have no doubt that your desire and determination will win out every time...

Thanks but no thanks LOL ... ours are bad enough. Is it me or are the weeds just out of control this year?
The weeds in our garden were ridiculous! And now the weeds in our Grotto area in the back yard are taking over. We've never had a weed problem back there before.

I'll pray you & your mom have many, many, many more summers/falls together!!! Time sure does fly so you are right, in no time you'll be saying "I'm heading to the airport to pick up mum!" :)

Have a great evening everyone!
We have a cookout at my brothers tonight. Emma is here with Mom today ~ she wants to hand deliver our pre-wedding invitations. I need to finish making deviled eggs & I'm bringing some fresh salsa ~ and maybe cheesy cornbread if I have time!! Yum!
