Christmas Countdown - 2017

I saw my first Christmas commercials today! No international brands, though. Rogers Cable advertised their Holiday Saver package. It had "Deck The Halls" in the background with Home Alone playing on a TV and a few other Christmas things... Awesome!

The Brick, a nationwide furniture chain, showed their Holiday deals and had Christmas decorations in a few places. Leon's, another national furniture chain, also talked about their Season's sales.

Incredible. The commercials are coming. The Season is coming!

Two 'Ber months down and the two best to go....

WKIM-FM in Memphis started Christmas music yesterday. We put up our tree Saturday.

It is a little bit of Heaven on Earth.

I've been keeping a close eye on our local station that switches over to Christmas in November. A few years ago, it was on November 12th... then it was November 20th. I think they've stuck with the 20th over the past few years. Earlier would be nice... but, you know, people complain about everything!

See everyone at the 'Pines tonight. I'm looking forward to those Halloween themed Fried Twinkies. Carl said he would consider giving me a little something "extra special" with mine. I don't know what he meant by that. I don't know if I should be excited or weary to find out!

Party at the Pines ! but I am so tired from moving LittleCS the last two days all i want to do is grab a drink, soak in the hot tub then relax in the hammock. Carl promised me a plate of fired twinkies and all the sweet tea I can drink. What a nice camel !
Carl does have a new item in the gift shop, hand drawn pictures of, you guessed it, himself. (and for a small fee he will autograph it for you )

I like to do a send out "Happy Birthday" wish to my son (turned 25 today) and a big "Congratulations", to him as well, for being promoted in the Air Force to the rank of E-5 (Staff Sergeant); over 34,000 took the test and only 18,000 got promoted.

thankyou so much. We are happy to say all is done, moved, cleaned and keys turned in. She just has to unpack now. Going over on Friday to help with that and get her curtains up in the living room.
Big party here tomorrow, Got a few folks coming over and making their own pizzas. Ray does not like cake, hard to hear for a mom who makes them. But this week I really do not mind. We will pick up a dozen of his favorite donuts, put candles in them and it will be great !

Well, what can I say..... TNBC was watched.. (more on that in a moment) lovely bikeride yesterday, culminating in eating rotisserie chicken (from the van we happened upon!). We sat on the field as the sun was getting lower towards 4pm, and felt right with the world.

* Couple of days of "post TNBC settling" gone by? - CHECK
* Listened to a Xmas song yet? - CHECK!

Yes friends, am currently listening to Gaudete, from the London Cello Orchestra - there's a CD called "A Cello Christmas". Going to hammer the hymns and orchestral pieces first.... and then, it's 80s British christmas classix!

Good morning MMC ~
Happy Thursday!
It’s going to be partly cloudy today with highs near 70 degrees. I got all of my Halloween decor down yesterday and all things Thanksgiving are up. I just need to run to Michael’s for a couple of more Fall leaves garlands, if I can find them. I’m sure the store is pretty much all Christmas by now. I think I’m going to send my Thanksgiving invites out soon so I can get a head count and finish up my menu plan & grocery list. I have to get my turkey order in to the butcher as well. Exciting stuff! Other than that I will just be working on the laundry. Dinner will be tacos and enchiladas. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well. Have a great day!!!

Morning MMC! 3 weeks from today we will gobble till we wobble. Unbelievable isn't it? Gotta get ready soon for the big turkey day. But for today just another day at work. Went out to eat last night. It was good and now will buy my favorite sandwich for lunch today. It's mild and going to be near 70 degrees. Definitely doesn't feel like November after a chilly Halloween. Hopefully will cool down again in time for Thanksgiving. Have a great Thursday aka Friday Eve!

This week is going by so fast!

This weekend is a big one. We celebrate Bonfire night on Sunday and the Christmas lights will be switched on in the city on Saturday to open the festive season!!!!! It's a big affair with huge fireworks display and performances by pop stars and the cast from both the musicals Elf and Shrek.
