I'm watching another one now. This sounds weird, but I've come to like the Happy Honda Day car commercials. I saw a lot of those after Christmas, when the other ones were quickly dropping off.
And I know what you mean about everything stopping. There's a void when it all just abruptly ends. MMC is filling that void and then some!
No snow, two hour school delay, then they closed school an hour early...; They are still calling for snow tonight & tomorrow morning & lows in the single digits on Sunday morning. We shall see! TGIF on this short work week.

You are supposed to get quite a bit more than us, stay safe tomorrow.
That is the most depressing thing about the season, how everyone just seems to want to end the Christmas references as soon as they can. The radio ends the music at midnight, Free-form does their regular programming that I won't watch the rest of the year, until the 13 Days of Halloween. Stores are rushing to erase all Christmas from sight, the sales are great but at least keep the music playing.

My trees are still glowing, outdoor lights shimmering, but this has been a rough year for my lights. At least 3 strands are half out, my 3ft tree in the window both strands are half out,and the star is no longer lighting, the star is 18 years old and lasted until a couple days ago, so I got my money's worth from it. So next year I have an opportunity to do some new changes.
We got a little snow today, but expecting more tomorrow, 3-5 inches. I love the snow, especially when my lights are still on.
A friend of ours gave me an early birthday gift, it was a Possible Dreams Santa holding a chalkboard, so I can countdown on it. It was quite a surprise.
I am heading to bed, it will be busy at work until the snow starts flying tomorrow.

Thanks! I had a appointment in the afternoon, but I rescheduled it. Even though we have only a Winter Weather Advisory here, we could still get 5 or 6 inches, mostly in the afternoon. That's a change---us getting more snow out here than you are getting inland!
Tonight was the service for Mike's cousin. I pray no one ever has to endure what they have. A cause of death is known but now they need to know why she did it and how she knew what to do. It was very sad especially seeing all her friends from cheerleading. I just pray her friends never feel the way she felt. What's most upsetting is that they couldn't get an appt for her until after the holidays due to things being booked or closed.
Right? It's crazy to me how that happens. And it's disappointing, because I feel like in years past that wasn't the case. I feel like in years past there was still a much bigger effort, not even an effort, but just an overall assumption to keep the Christmas spirit going even after Christmas Day has passed. And unfortunately I don't really see it ever going back to those days.
Yep, unfortunately, car commercials have become one of the few things that keep Christmas on television once Christmas day has passed. Don't forget Jan from Toyota!
Oh nmc, that is so sad to hear. I wasn't able to have children but I would think such a situation would be incredibly difficult to bear for a parent. Sending everyone in Mike's and your family positive thoughts in this trying time.

Been awake for a while, my husband left the house early to be on a job in the city. We're expecting a few inches of snow today so I'm going to head out early to get my food shopping over with. My poor husband is probably going to have a rough ride home. I had a couple of other errands to run but I'll see how the weather is. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend!
