That is the right way to be enjoying a January night.Howdy All,
Full disclosure:
I'm watching Elf and sipping candy cane tea as I work. That is all ... hope all is well, happy 2017.

Thanks Crown! We made it to Double Digits January!Good Morning, Friends.
Plowing along through January now, with our next Milestone clearly in sight.
Days to the Season: 307
Days to Christmas Day: 349
And in fact that marker, the 300-day Season Window, stands just 7 days ahead now.
Precisely one week to go.
(We have indeed advance efficiently so far!)
It remained below 30 degrees all day yesterday and most of the ice is still with us.
This morning has again started off quite cold at 25 degrees but by late moning, we should finally move over the freezing mark and on past 40 to get some melting going!
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!
Polar Bear swim in Feb?Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!
I love seeing all the new and seldom-seen posters! It's great to have you all, and I hope you're with us for the duration!
I didn't expect it to be in the 20's again this morning. I turned off the pool pump yesterday afternoon, thinking the freezing weather was behind us. I walked outside this morning to a thick coat of frost on my truck. I turned on the pool pump with my fingers crossed, hoping the pipes weren't frozen, but it ran normally. Whew!
I hope y'all have a great day!

ppssshhh "still" ...
I know she'll love it!
The weather is crazy again this year.I can't believe this. Woke up this morning to 10 degrees and still some snow on the ground. Thursday is predicted to be 71. That is quite a jump.
I couldn't agree more!! Bring on the snow!! (keep the ice)Good evening all.
Well, today is Monday. Not a bad day today, just...Monday. I always feel like Tuesdays are worse than Mondays. You know Monday is coming, you kinda prepare for it. But Tuesday! It's not Monday, it kinda sneaks up on you. It is sooo far from the weekend, and you are extra tried because of Monday. Of course, then there is Wednesday, you ca see the end is near. Thursday, you can make it. Friday, you are practically done. But Tuesday....
In the weather world... we are expecting a little freezing rain tonight. Then a major warmup and then the potential for a major ice event this weekend. I am not a fan of the ice really. I would prefer snow and lots of it![/QUOTE]
Hope your PCB's aren't too bad this year!! Always sad to take decorations down!! Hope your January is going well!!Oh, I do feel sad at this time of year....I love this site for cheering me up!
Took the very last of the decorations down today.
My best wishes to everyone!
Never too many tree's!The only thing that is getting me through this boring January is the NFL playoffs! Thankfully I have football to distract me from the fact that the holidays are over! I think I will make it a goal to work on making some new Christmas ornaments for yet another tree I can put up this coming season (my husband says I put up too many as it is but I don't think you can ever have too many Christmas trees!) That way, I can take my time on the ornaments but still do something Christmas all year! Because when the super bowl is over, the year drags for me until September.
Totally agree!!!Too much rain, need some snowflakes in their.
I just pulled up the comfort for critters website. What a great thing!! I have A LOT of leftover yarn.... (but also a lot of projects started...Hi !
Christmas was fine. Talked to my niece in Utah, went to a Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at St. Anthony's Shrine here in Boston. Christmas dinner plan didn't quite work out so had a crispy chicken salad at Burger King. Lots of people came through BK. Next year I'll spruce up the room I live in for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day I'll put on the Ritz, take a good murder mystery and go to a jazzy joint for dinner. Then go home and watch a DVD or two. One year I watched a real Christmas classic: The Lion in Winter - now there's a great life or two for you !
New Year's Eve was very quiet. Boston Common was quiet as a churchyard at noon; people and vendors tripping over each other by 4:00PM. Midnight was almost as quiet as noon, but the Christmas lights were almost stereophonically bright - which made up for the relative quiet.
Hope everyone had a pluperfect good time this season!
PS: Finished my 19th of 20 blankets crocheted for CrittersForComfort.org. If you like animals and can crochet, knit quilt etc. check out CFC on the internet.
