I hope you all have a wonderful time! Take plenty of photos!
And remember: Ken's House of Pancakes in Hilo ...

Happy Groundhogs Day MMC! I'm watching to see if we have 6 more weeks of winter, however, I don't think we've really even had 6 weeks of winter yet. December has turned out to be the worst month so far of the winter (or best depending how you look at it) with more cold/snow than January had. Looks like we're missing the storm Sunday so we are going into next week when they are predicting rain for us. Anyway, another day and another busy one. Oh 2 things before I forget. 1.) I'm not sure why but Rollins is obsessed with bananas (how weird is that) but he's always trying to grab them off the table and run away with them. 2.) Last night we went to Applebee's and I could not believe it but on February 1 SEVERAL houses had their Christmas lights still on. I don't usually go that way at night so these are houses I don't see lit usually. Awesome stuff.
Have a great day!
Loki loves bananas as well. I always give him a piece. He's never gotten a hold of a whole one though, he'd probably go crazy too if he did.

I want to share a post by LittleCS (with her permission) from her face book page. Please pray for her and me too as we wait for the results to come in...

For those of you who read my update about my specialist appointment in London on Monday...and I said about being tested for essential Thrombocytosis and you don't know what that is...I looked it up and here is what it is:
Essential thrombocytosis (ET; also known as essential thrombocythemia, essential thrombocythaemia, primary thrombocytosis) is a rare chronic blood disorder characterised by the overproduction of platelets by megakaryocytes in the bone marrow.[1] It may, albeit rarely, develop into acute myeloid leukaemia or myelofibrosis.[1] It is one of four myeloproliferative disorders (disorders characterised by increased production of a particular line of blood cell).
Scarry stuff huh? but I'm trusting God with it and know that He is in charge and will always be with me, even right now when I am kind of worried after reading that I may end up having myeloid leukaemia (I hope that doesn't happen, though)
I'm putting all this in God's hands and praying that it isn't going to be that bad.
It hardly ever is bad.
The doctor said that they want to eliminate this from the possibilities of what might be the problem.
The past few years it seems like it has been one rough thing after another but I keep smiling and day after day, I Keep on Fighting!!
I will update you when I hear more about what is going on. Also, thank you for those of you who are praying for me!
Hugs, Lisa

Happy Groundhog Day, Christmas friends!

Thank you for all the well-wishes and prayers for Elizabeth! She is feeling better, but we decided to keep her out of school one more day, just in case.

I've been watching the upgrades at Bernie's store with awe. As some of you know, my father-in-law sells Hunt Bros. Pizzas at his General Store here in Bellville. He entered a contest last year to create a homemade "TV commercial" that extolled the virtues of Hunt Bros. Pizza. He won the contest! And the grand prize was an entirely new pizza operation, including a new refrigerated (for toppings) assembly table, cooker, warmers and storefront "façade" complete with two flat screen TVs displaying menus, prices, etc. I have to say, I didn't expect such an awesome setup! #justaboutperfect :D

We have a corporate HR person here today, so I guess I'll be in and out of meetings.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Looks good, I would love to try the pizza.

I will be sure to keep Little CS and you in my thoughts.

Christmas followed me a couple times today. I worked from home this morning because of snowy roads and because I had a midday medical appointment, so I turned on the TV while I monitored my office email. There was a broadcast of the old "I've Got a Secret" show from the 1950s, and it was a Christmas Eve show! Then on the way to my appointment I saw a fully decorated Christmas tree outside of a storefront business, all covered with red ribbon bows!

Unfortunately, the results of my appointment require yet another diagnostic appointment, so now I'm getting nervous. I won't give any details just now, but please send up a little prayer if you can spare a few moments. It means a lot to have some MMC prayers working for me. Thanks!
Evening Merry... all my thoughts and prayers go with you for the best results. The Lord be with you and your family...

Good Wednesday evening! Currently waiting for homemade oven fries to be done, it smells really good in here. This has been a day where many of my employees learned some bad news about loved ones, unfortunately. From a brother on his last days, to a grandfather hospitalized after suffering a cardiac arrest, a mother abroad rushed to the hospital after suffering cardiac problems and another employee making arrangements to go back to her country because of her mother battling two types of cancer. It's been a rough day for them, I'm keeping them in my thoughts. Hug someone you love tonight, that's all I can say.
Amen!

Congrats to everyone for making it through January! Now we get a short 4 week month here in February to help give us a nice early catapult into the countdown. I'm looking forward to that 1/4 marker! Hope everyone is having a nice evening.
Good morning ~
Happy Thursday!
I'm up a bit early today. One of the cats turned the lights on in my bedroom and I couldn't fall back to sleep. We have a remote control for the lights that I keep on my night table, she must have stepped on it. Anyway, I made a cup of coffee and threw in a load of laundry. Just enjoying the peace and quiet right now. Not too much going on here today, I'm going to run to the supermarket later this morning to pick up a few things, my mom is coming for lunch. Other than that it will be a typical day, I'll just be working on my daily chores. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day <3
Evening HMG. I trust your day went as planned. Not much here either. I took the week off to do some cleaning, put away the Christmas decorations and get the house ready for Super Sunday. I have to admit, that I have spent a lot of that time relaxing, which is something I do not get around to very often. Hope lunch with your Mom was enjoyable... have a nice night.
