Good morning FRIDAY❤️
Hope everyone will have a wonderful day
After breakfast, I will soon be on my way to IKEA..
We just bought a white loft bed for Nathaniel, so today I have to find
a desk that goes under there...+ some other things...

Sending my thoughts and prayers for the sick ones....❤️
A very happy Friday to you as well Solice. I trust you will find what you are looking for today. As strange as it may sound to some, one of the things I absolutely cringe through is shopping. My one exception to that is Christmas shopping...

I only stumbled on learning about Candlemas a few years ago when I was specifically looking into ways that I could extend my Christmas season as long as possible and if there were any dates after Christmas Day that would still be considered part of the official season. It's when I learned that the 12 Days of Christmas actually starts on Christmas Day, where before, like most people, I had always assumed that it ends on Christmas Day. It's also when I learned that January 6th was considered Epiphany and that it is actually a fairly commonly observed day. Which then, after some further research, led me to learn about Candlemas. And that these days are all officially part of the Christmas season according to the religious calendar and terms that characterize them. I'm not particularly religious myself, although I do gravitate to it from time to time. Like I mentioned before, for me, these days are primarily just an excuses to do Christmassy things and feel justified in doing so. I was just wondering what other peoples thoughts were about it.
It is fun to look into the past now and then to see what traditions use to be and how many of them over the years has sort of faded away (like caroling). However, for me, I try my best to keep the real "Reason for the Season" with me all year long and as such... I do not require an additional thought, tradition or reason to keep it going all year long.
Which is why even though the majority of decorations are down, it never departs my home fully.
Have a fun Friday...

I want to share a post by LittleCS (with her permission) from her face book page. Please pray for her and me too as we wait for the results to come in...

For those of you who read my update about my specialist appointment in London on Monday...and I said about being tested for essential Thrombocytosis and you don't know what that is...I looked it up and here is what it is:
Essential thrombocytosis (ET; also known as essential thrombocythemia, essential thrombocythaemia, primary thrombocytosis) is a rare chronic blood disorder characterised by the overproduction of platelets by megakaryocytes in the bone marrow.[1] It may, albeit rarely, develop into acute myeloid leukaemia or myelofibrosis.[1] It is one of four myeloproliferative disorders (disorders characterised by increased production of a particular line of blood cell).
Scarry stuff huh? but I'm trusting God with it and know that He is in charge and will always be with me, even right now when I am kind of worried after reading that I may end up having myeloid leukaemia (I hope that doesn't happen, though)
I'm putting all this in God's hands and praying that it isn't going to be that bad.
It hardly ever is bad.
The doctor said that they want to eliminate this from the possibilities of what might be the problem.
The past few years it seems like it has been one rough thing after another but I keep smiling and day after day, I Keep on Fighting!!
I will update you when I hear more about what is going on. Also, thank you for those of you who are praying for me!
Hugs, Lisa
Sending positive thoughts your family's way Christmasstar.

Evening HMG. I trust your day went as planned. Not much here either. I took the week off to do some cleaning, put away the Christmas decorations and get the house ready for Super Sunday. I have to admit, that I have spent a lot of that time relaxing, which is something I do not get around to very often. Hope lunch with your Mom was enjoyable... have a nice night.

I've done that, take a week off to clean and wind up taking time to relax more. Good for you CGYager, there's nothing wrong with some relaxing.

Good Friday morning! I have another weekend off, really looking forward to it. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'll have some time this morning to prepare a poster for a Valentine's Day bake sale at work. Have a great day everyone!

Morning and TGIF! Hope everyone is ready for Superbowl Weekend. I am glad that I took off Monday coming up. I always love 3 day weekends. They are the best to me. What's everyone got planned? This week seemed a little quicker than I thought it would. But I'm glad it's Friday. Besides my little Superbowl party Sunday I'm planning on getting my taxes done, errands and of course trying to relax some. I may go to the mall on Monday. The mall always makes me think of the Christmas season no matter what time of year I go there. Hope you all have a great Friday!

Thank you CGYager, I had a wonderful day. Sounds like your week was productive and relaxing week as well, that's great. Hope you have a fabulous weekend ahead!!!

Carolina seems to be getting sick. She was acting fine but her cheeks were very red and flushed. My mom tried to take her temperature after she picked her up from my cousin, but a fit ensued so it didn't get taken til almost bed time. I'm hoping it is down by morning. If not a trip to the pediatrician or urgent care will be in our future.

I hope everyone is having a great relaxing night. Keeping everyone in my prayers

Sending get well wishes for Carolina!
xx

Morning Martine. I have this weekend off as well. Today and tomorrow will be just a bit busy (helping out for a couple of hours at the zoo today), but that is so I can build up to Super Sunday.
Have a fun day and a relaxing weekend...

Good Morning Edge. My time off will also go through Monday and I will be doing the same and that is getting everything done that needs to be done before the 5th. Most of which is simply to finish cleaning the house and buy a couple of things for Sunday (there is a sale on wings and meatballs at HyVee). :)
Enjoy...

Good morning ~
Merry Friday!
Just had Maggie in the back yard, it's chilly out there. It's going to be partly sunny with highs near 34, we're currently at 25 degrees. I'm going to wait a bit before we head out for a walk. Hopefully the sun will be shining!
Seems like a few of us have been dealing with a lot of things lately. I know it's been one thing after another for my family so far in 2017. I would appreciate if you could send up a prayer for me, I'm going for a thyroid biopsy this afternoon. I'm sure everything will be alright but waiting for those results can be nerve wracking! I'm keeping positive thoughts, hoping all the sickness and other health issues will be behind us.
Please know all of you are always in my thoughts and prayers <3
I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!
xx
