Good Morning, Post-'Pines Personages!

Did you get your fill of fired twinkies yesterday evening? I thought they were especially good.
And I'm sure you noticed the red frosting and tiny hearts in honor of pending Valentines Day. A nice touch, courtesy of our friendly activities director.

But we push on, and a review of the latest count numbers is in order:
Days to the Season: 277
Days to Christmas Day: 319

And Folks, we are now UNDER 1/2 a week away from the ONE QUARTER Milestone marker to Christmas Season 2017. Three short days.
(Wowzers!)

Well, we had our final really nice day here yesterday. This morning commenced at 53 degrees and has dropped 5 degrees in the last 45 minutes to 48. It is supposed to just keep getting colder from here all day, down to a low tonight of 24, a 50 degree drop from yesterday's high!
(Of course, we knew it was too good to be true. It's like this most every winter.)

But regardless of your weather, you have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!

Woke up to 2" of snow with a storm warning for tonight for heavy accumulations. Looks to be a good day.

Good morning ~
What a difference a day makes. We hit 60 degrees yesterday, today a blizzard warning has been issued. Now they're saying Long Island may see up to 16 inches of snow. I hope it's less! I'm already worried about the girls driving in the ice and snow tomorrow. I just don't enjoy these snowstorms like I used to. I've been shoveling the back yard a bit so that Maggie could go outside, the snow is so wet and heavy. No way I can handle cleaning the cars and driveway, I'll have to leave that for my husband this time. Just going to try and relax and enjoy the time with my girls today. Hope everyone is well. Everyone dealing with this weather, stay safe!

Good evening,

Winter storm warning I effect here, they are saying 10-14 inches on the ground when all is said and done.
I am falling asleep, soooo...

Goodnight, everyone
They've upped the ante here to 12 to 18 inches!
The governor is telling people to stay home if they can. I'll be working from home, and Mr. is staying home today. Wish it could be a real snow day, but I have to work remotely!

Good Morning ... Well the kids and I have a snow day today although we are not getting as much snow as they originally called for :( I will spend part of this snow day trying a new recipe for whole wheat dinner rolls and maybe granola bars. Going to make a roast for dinner so the house should smell great all day :) May even pop in a christmas movie while baking.

Hope everyone has a great day
Enjoy the day, Minta...dinner sounds good!

Stay safe HMG! I guess we were overdue for one of these before spring!

Happy Friday Eve...yes we are in the midst of a snowstorm too! They are saying 10-16 inches for us..we'll see. Luckily my husband does not have to go in..he work for the State of CT and non essential staff can stay home. Hope you all have a good day!

Morning MMC! We are in the middle of a snowstorm here after temps in the 50s yesterday. It's crazy. Well Mother Nature was overdue to give us a storm. We are expecting 8-12 inches here. Looks like we have 2 inches or so right now and it is going to snow the next 6-8 hours at an inch or more per hour. I am staying home from work today unless it drastically clears later this morning which looks doubtful. Just heard some trucks are stuck in the snow...if trucks are getting stuck in this how is my little car going to drive in it? Hope everyone stays safe if you are in any bad weather today! Spring is coming soon!
This weather is crazy!! Did your office even open? Ours closed so they said anyone that can work from home do that...
Does Rollins like the snow?

So crazy! My husband ended up staying home as well. So glad we're all able to hunker down and stay safe. Hope you have a nice day with your family SnowflakeMom!

Yeah nobody went in to ours either. My brother was going to try to go in and said forget it whether they are open or not it's not worth going in.
Yeah he likes the snow and running in it but then he wants to go inside!

We had a 2 hour delay today. Came close to closing, but nope. Oddly enough, the roads were worse when I went to school than they were when the 2 hour delay was given. Oh well. It was a nice short day.

There is no snow in our forecast for awhile. Back up to the 50s by Saturday. Where did my winter go?

My mom got called at 430 this am saying they had no school and it was still raining at that point. It didn't start snowing here til like 730 and it only amounted to about 2 inches. We were originally in the 4 to 6 in range. She loses the Friday before Presidents Day since that was originally a day off. Carolina and I played outside for about an hour She had a lot of fun. I ran my errands this afternoon since roads had absolutely nothing on them.

I hope everyone who has snow stays safe.
@Minta how much snow did you get?
