LOL - good luck with all those recipes!Good morning MMC !
rain here too but should be gone by this evening.
Working only 5 hours today so a nice short day.
Looking in recipes for something to throw in the slow cooker. I have chicken, just cannot decide how to prepare it. Who knew there where so many choices on line...4,490,000 results on google. It could be into next week before I go through all those !!!
now back to checking on April the giraffe
Have a great day crown!Good Morning, People of the Great MMC Nation.
And what is spoken here at MMC?
Why, Christmas, of course. The universal language of joy and generosity!
And little can bring us more joy than observing the ever-descending balance of days remaining in our two counts.
Days to the Season: 223
Days to Christmas Day: 265
And more joy is to be had via a review of our next pending pair of Milestone markers:
The 1/3 point to Christmas Day 2017 -- just one day over 3 weeks up the road!
The 200-day Season Window -- it follows the very next day!
(Isn't our once-a-year dual Milestone marker week exciting?)
We had a rainstorm here yesterday evening that turned a luke-warm day a bit cooler.
Today is predicted to be dry before another chance of the wet stuff returns for tomorrow.
We stand just under 64 degrees here at this hour.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!
Our onion plants arrived last week! It's time to get the sugar peas, lettuce, carrots, radish, etc out too but its' so darn wet!! My hubby did get the garden cleaned up Sunday evening. Our rhubarb is looking good, waiting on asparagus to pop through. Mmmm!I hope you all have a great day! Another rainy one here. It would be a good time for me to get some stuff planted.
Happy Tuesday ITeach... I can certainly understand your feelings about the testing process, of course when I was back in school, I kind of felt the same way about dissecting sentences...Hi everyone.
Cooking dinner and thought I would stop by and see how everyone is doing.
This is testing week at school. You know, the week when we give students a bunch of senseless exams, taking away valuable class time when students could actually be learning.
In better news for students, this week is also National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. Thursday, we will induct 16 new members. I am the NHS advisor and this year has been difficult to organize because of a lot of factors outside of my control. But, the ceremony will occur no matter what at this point. It is great for the kiddos, and I am super proud of those we are inducting, they are all great and deserving students.
How is everyone today? I know it is Monday.![]()
I have to agree that the plots can be pretty predictable ... but I like to tune in just to see the decorations!Lol - true. Although I think they have come out with some pretty good ones. Some plots are cheesy, almost all are very predictable, but have you ever just stopped & looked at their scenery? AMAZING! Beautiful!!
We're expecting thunder and lightning Thursday afternoon! That will seem odd, as we just had snow last Saturday.Stay dry!!
We have 1-3" of snow predicted for Thursday night, & a chance of snow of Friday. Geez!
Have a great day!
Morning Edge. We had a brief bit of the liquid sunshine yesterday, now some drying out. It's okay though, since it makes the ground a lot easier to turn. Nice of you to help out a co-worker in need. Not sure what Easter will bring for mew this year, but I have been contemplating working at the Union Gospel Mission that day and helping to serve and clean-up.Morning MMC! Wishing the rain would go away but once again we are having a rainy day. Looks like this pattern will finally hopefully break this coming weekend and that the weather going forward should be nicer (or so they say). Just another day at work and a busy one at that. Have to pick up my coworker since he had to drop his car off for an inspection. April already rolling forward. Starting to think about Easter now...have a great day!
As a proofreader, I can't knock dissecting sentences! I was never taught in school to diagram sentences, but I find myself doing it informally to ferret out the subject to determine whether a verb should be singular of plural, and to determine other parts of speech ... That may sound anal, but once we were making a pitch to a major university, and I corrected a subject-verb disagreement. The writer said no, he wouldn't make that change, even though it was grammatically correct. When they did the presentation, the client pointed out the subject-verb disagreement to them! So there's a practical application for dissecting those sentences!Happy Tuesday ITeach... Happy Tuesday Martine. This will be my first night back as well, so I got up early and will wear myself out a bit so I can sleep this afternoon. Enjoy your day...Good Tusday morning! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift for the next couple of days, so I'm taking it easy this morning. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!
Greetings Christmasstar. Is one of those baking with BBQ sauce? That's what I am doing with a bunch of legs right now. My better half has also been keeping up with the Giraffe. Talk about labor...Good morning MMC !

Happy Tuesday Holiday. I'll echo those sentiments for your Mom and pray things continue on the healing path. I have to sleep in an elevated position myself these days, since an old back injury has caught up with me and laying flat has me up in serious lower back pain within a few hours.Good morning MMC!! We have quite the WINDY day going on today! The original forecast was for rain all day...now it looks like they took that out & it's just supposed to be WINDY!
Not much new going on around here. Mom is shaky again this morning. Her fever is gone & the swelling in her hands/feet was better this morning - we think maybe b/c she slept elevated last night? Anyway....hoping she has a GOOD day!
Everyone, have a Terrific Tuesday!

Morning Merry. Like so many subjects in school, I'm sure it has it's purpose and advantages to learn. But like most students, there is always that one subject that you dread and this was mine. Probably the main reason I never became a writer... lolAs a proofreader, I can't knock dissecting sentences! I was never taught in school to diagram sentences, but I find myself doing it informally to ferret out the subject to determine whether a verb should be singular of plural, and to determine other parts of speech ... Have a good Tuesday, xmas!Good evening,
I wanted to get to bed early tonight, but I have been listening to music instead. I just have to get through tomorrow for my day off on Wednesday.
I will get caught up tomorrow
I hope all is well.
Goodnight, everyone
