I'm glad Lulu was doing greatThanks for helping me worry about Lulu, y'all! This morning the vet said she was doing great, but he wants to observe her bladder operation till the afternoon just to be sure. He said I could get her at 4pm. I hope she's not too mad at me for leaving her there.
I wonder what percentage of households still even have a home phone? I cant even remember the last time I saw a phone company vehicle anywhere.Lol..true!
Thanks Crown! Loving our back-to-back milestones approaching later this month!Good Morning, Happy Holiday Helpers.
And it is helpful every day to read and be aware of the daily Countdown and its ever-changing status.
As such, we present today's information:
Days to the Season: 221
Days to Christmas Day: 263
Part of the process is also to be mindful of our Milestones and their proximity.
So with that also in mind, we present this:
A) The 1/3 point to Christmas Day will be here in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS!
B) The 200-day Season Window will arrive 3 weeks from TODAY!
(Our once-a-year phenomenon of BACK TO BACK Milestone markers!)
Nice and warm again yesterday until a late day rainstorm cooled things off.
There was briefly a talk of severe weather.
More rain may be in the picture today before dry weather returns for tomorrow.
We are currently situated at 63 damp, overcast degrees here in the capital city and stand under a tornado watch for the balance of the morning.
Weren't those flowers beautiful at the 'Pines last night? Carl really outdid himself. I think he must have a green thumb -- or make that hoof.
Can't wait for next week's Easter celebration.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!
Absolutely adorable as always![]()
Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!
Wow, yesterday was crazy. I finally picked up Lulu form the vet. They showed me all the bladder stones that were removed. Bless her heart, her bladder was full of stones. She had that awful cone around her neck (it's called an Elizabethan Collar), and she looked miserable. When we got home I took it off of her, and watched her to make sure she didn't try to lick the wound. She was very happy after that, but obviously still in pain. Anyway, we let her sleep with us last night, and she seemed happier today.
About 7pm last night, my phone started speaking about a tornado in our immediate vicinity. I told Nancy, the kids & Lulu to get in my truck. We went to my work's main office, which is nearby and very sturdy. We also picked up Nancy's parents, her sister & a friend, and her niece with her two boys. We had a crowd in our conference room! When I got to the plant, I saw that a lot of guys were still out there working, so I called them in, too. It hailed and stormed for about a half hour, but the tornado missed by a couple miles. Whew!
I'm tired of excitement and weirdness. I'm want things to go back to normal!
I hope y'all have a great (AND NORMAL!) day!![]()
Good morning ~
Happy Thursday!
I'm going to the Stevie Nicks concert tonight. Been looking forward to it all week. My husband gave his ticket up for my middle daughter because she really wanted to go, so it's going to be a girls night. Should be fun!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

4 years ago today we learned that we had lost one of our own. We miss and love you @caninemom3. We know you are our very own angel now though, watching over us and keeping us safe especially in our darkest times.
I actually still have a home phone because it was cheaper with our cable bundle to keep it. We rarely use it and everyone calls mu cell.I wonder what percentage of households still even have a home phone? I cant even remember the last time I saw a phone company vehicle anywhere.
Thanks, Crown...enjoy your Thursday! Those milestones are coming quickly!Good Morning, Happy Holiday Helpers.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her but from what I have read, it sounds like she was a great lady!4 years ago today we learned that we had lost one of our own. Happy Thursday Edge...you are right, I would much rather have this dreary weather when I am working rather than the weekend. Hope you have a great day!Morning MMC! A rainy day here today this Thursday. But the weekend weather is looking very nice. That's worth it if today and tomorrow aren't that great. I'll take the nicer weather on the weekends than the weekdays. Feels to me like April is already picking up speed again. One of these days time will slow down a little. For now enjoy today because as someone wrote to me yesterday "Tomorrow is never promised." Have a good Thursday!
