Greetings to one and all this first day of the sixth month in the year 2017. With Memorial Day being over, things will pretty much settle down for me the remainder of the month. The only thing I have not finalized in my mind is what I will do for my "much better" half on the 15th of this month (our anniversary). We are going to have a vacation down to Orlando in December to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal (along with other sights of course), but I cannot simply allow the day itself to just come and go.
I'm sure something will come to me. For now, coffee, some Bible study and a little bit of yard work before hitting the sack is calling.
I pray all of you are doing well and that this month will be your best of the year thus far. Enjoy and remember, Summer is calling...

It's still overcast and super humid around here. Also, the Okefenokee Swamp has been dealing with a huge wildfire. It's close to 100 miles away, but the smell and haze of smoke fills the air every morning. Blech.

We used to get that alot on the base Brad. Ranges would burn for a week, it gets old after a few days..lol. a sidenote--- During those wild fires..cases of poison Sumac and Oak skyrocketedGood Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!!! It's an absolutely gorgeous morning!!! LOVE IT! I wish this weather could last forever! Love these warm temps with no humidity!! Although for boating & convertible riding it needs to be a tad bit warmer, so I guess that will be ok too! (Like I have a say so in it...Ha ha!)
We got a text from our sis this morning that Mom was sick overnight. DARNIT!!! She has been doing too good! I went over to check on her & she looked good - said she felt fine. Emma didn't get much sleep overnight so I bought Gatorade & vitamin water for Mom & a Pepsi for Emma. Hopefully it was a quick bug & she is on the mend. We have family vaca coming up...she CAN'T get sick!!!!
We had a visa card which was a rebate from the tires we bought for our Durango that needed to be used before the end of May. Well of course we forgot about it so yesterday we were scrambling trying to think of something fun we wanted to buy for $70 - We ended up buying a new lighted fountain for our patio. Our old one bit the dust last year. Of course we couldn't find one we liked for $70 so I ended up buying an Amazon gift card to cover the rest of the expense but now I'm excited for it to arrive!

Morning MMC! TGIF! As we head into a June weekend. I hope everyone has had a good week. Even a 4 day work week seems long enough doesn't it? I'm looking forward to the weekend. Should be a good and fun one. Today the weather should be nice as well as Saturday. 2 nice days and then...clouds and rain the next 5 days after that. Still no sign of putting my a.c. up after those couple of real hot days a few weeks ago we've had nothing close to a.c. weather. Rollins woke me up at 4 a.m. and spit up. Of course then I tried to go back to sleep but he decided to just lay in the middle of my bed so that I would have no room. When I tried to nudge him over he would get up go in a circle and push as close against me as possible. I just stayed awake and got up a little earlier. Have a great day!

There was plenty of sun and no precipitation whatsoever.
We should be dry once again today and we greet this morning with a temperature reading of 68 degrees under calm skies here in the capital city.

We went to mom's for supper last night, which is always a treat. But she and Nancy got long-winded and I didn't get home till almost 11pm...waaaay past my bed time LOL! And I woke up earlier than usual, so I'm lagging just a little bit. Coffee's brewing, however, so things are looking brighter.

Good morning MMC!! We have another beautiful day on tap!! Looks like tomorrow is now supposed to be a beautiful day as well with rain moving in on Sunday! Fingers crossed the rain on Sunday is LATE at night so we can boat over to listen to our friend sing/play! They have "blessing of the boats" on Sunday where our friend is playing - will be hard to do if it's raining.... 
Well the garden is progressing - Jim got it all tilled up for the 2nd time last night - we had to put preen 'n green down b/c we had a HUGE thistle problem. Hopefully that will help. We got the black cloth put down so we can plant our peppers/tomatoes, which is what my sis & I are planning to do this afternoon. Then I'll be heading to the lake, hopefully for the WHOLE weekend!!!
