Hey, I've been here for a while, but have only recently made my participation a daily thing. (Sometimes, life is such that you need Christmas every day. Did I say "sometimes"?) I have to ask the question - When does the season "officially" begin? What are we 151 days away from? Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Reading post number one of this thread might answer some questions, tbutler.

Good Afternoon ... Well the heat and humidity took a break yesterday so I was able to shut the Ac off last night and open the windows again :) Still very comfortable today too which is perfect since we are going to pick pie cherries tonight. Kids are enjoying their first day of their summer vacation.

Have a great day!

Just stopping by to say HI!

Getting ready for a 4th of July parade as Santa. I have a new patriotic suit for such occasions and am excited to don it! Also, getting excited about the annual Hallmark ornament premier weekend on 7/15 & 7/16. A picture of its initial coat fitting is below so you can see it.

As usual, I will be at the Amy's Hallmark in Sachse, TX. I am considering wearing the patriotic suit one of those days. It all depends on how hot it is.
NICE outfit!

Hey!

Crown always explains how the countdown days are explained in the first post of his threads. Here's a link to the first post. Enjoy, and great to see you!!

So, where is @snowflake22 ?? It's been a long time!

Busy getting ready for me to visit in 14 days!! Lol!!!!

She's crazy busy at work with meetings and projects going on. Like getting up at 2:30am busy. I don't know how she even stays awake long enough to walk Harlowe in the evening.

I told her everyone was asking about her though and she said to tell everyone hi!!! She'll try to check in when she can keep her eyes open long enough. (Knowing her schedule though, that won't be for awhile.)

Today was my Friday...Bambina has been asking about watching Elf on a Shelf for two hours...and now she is wanting to know where her elf, Trixie, is at....which made me wonder...

Why do those little elves have names that makes them sound like the stand on a street corner?

Good morning to all the MMC community. It is currently 3AM and so very quiet and peaceful. Working on my second cup of coffee and watching a Christmas DVD. It is just a lot of different scenes, both inside homes and the great outdoors, set to Christmas music (with choice of piano, harp, bells & guitar/violin). Very relaxing for the time and this site. Our Anniversary dinner went very well. The only minor downside was due to having worked the evening before, the night ended a little early. I guess we old people need our sleep... ;)
Of course that was just to celebrate the actual day. I will take her to Orlando in December (7th - 14th) for a nice vacation and 15th celebration.
The excessive heat has broken here with highs in the mid 80's, though the weekend looks to be Thunderstorms and 70's. I am praying for a nice Saturday as our local Zoo is having a special event, which I will be helping out at. But everything in the hands of Him who knows what is best.
As the time gets later, I'll try to finish the mowing and maybe get a little more grass planted in areas that are in need. We have one section that gets so much shade, a kind of moss grows, choking out the grass. I try to keep up with it, but it let's me know that nature, not man, is really in charge... lol.
I caught Made's entry concerning Snowflake22 and will pray she gets some help to be able to enjoy her life a bit more. Having a job is great and the abilities to do it even better, but when it seems like life is work, eat & sleep. the stress can wind up bigger than any paycheck.
Festive: I hope your move is going smoothly now and I will say another prayer for your country as well. The entire nation has had more than its share of troubles lately and really needs time for healing and rest.
Have a splendid Friday all and an even better weekend. Hopefully the weather where you are will cooperate.

TGIF MMC! I must have been tired because the alarm woke me out of a sound sleep which is somewhat rare. And I did go to bed on the early side. Looks like we will have showers today and cool weather before the humidity and warmer weather returns this weekend (although not 90s). Hope everyone's week has been ok and heading into Father's Day Weekend with some fun plans. Have a great day!

Good Morning, Fellow Christmasoholics!

Yes, we are indeed addicted to our glorious Christmas Season, aren't we?
And we are pretty attached to our Milestone markers, as well!
We will check on the next pending one, shortly.

First:
Days to the Season: 150
Days to Christmas Day: 192

And our next marker?
Well, it's the HALF WAY point to Christmas and it is SINGLE DIGITS away as of tomorrow!
(TEN days to go. Wow!)

Well, the predicted rain held off yesterday until we got a brief evening sprinkle. More predicted overnight rain also did not materialize.
Today our chance of rain stands at 60 percent, so perhaps I'll get a day off from watering the plants.
We commence things here under somewhat cloudy skies, with a temperature reading of 75 degrees.

Weekend Eve is here! Have a Wondrously Wild one.
(And a Fully Fabulous Friday, Friends!)

Merry Friday All- It is going to be a chilly day with some showers and looks like Sunday will be the better day. Not sure what we are doing this weekend. I think it may be a quiet one at home and maybe we will grill out on Sunday.
Have a great Friday and weekend...another work week is over!

Morning Edge. I had a much earlier start to the day (1:45AM), but of course I will have to get some sleep before a mid-shift tonight. No big plans for Father's Day. Just hoping to relax, even dinner will be KFC and some of our own corn (KFC's is too soggy). Weather will be on the warm side today, but dipping into the 70's for the weekend. Have a nice Friday and a fantastic weekend...

Merry Friday MMC ~
It's going to be cloudy today with highs near 67 degrees. Not too much going on here. I have to run a few errands and then I'll be working on my daily chores. I also need to work on a menu plan and grocery list. I'll probably take a ride to the butcher today and do the rest of my food shopping tomorrow. That's about it. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great weekend ahead!
xx

A Fabulous Friday to you SnowflakeMom. I trust one of those days will get the grill going. Mine will actually be on Monday (my normal second day off). My daughter took the liberty of inviting some people over for dinner, so... looks like Dad will do the grilling. Not a huge problem, but a little more advance notice is always appreciated. Have fun and relax...

Hi there HMG. Is your menu planning based on something special are do you perform this on a weekly basis? Just wondering as I have only met one woman in my 60+ years who actually decided the whole weeks menu in advance for her family. She said it just things easier for her. 67 would be a very welcome temp here. I don;t mind the lower eighties, but really enjoy it when it is in between 65 - 75 degrees. At any rate, I hope you have a safe fun-filled Friday and weekend...

Good morning all!

Last night my wife and I were able to have a date night! A new Chinese restaurant opened up in town so we tried that it for dinner. It was wonderful. All of the other Chinese places in town are take out or buffet, but his is a nice little sit-down place. Great food, nice atmosphere.
After dinner we did a little shopping and went to see Wonder Woman. GREAT MOVIE!!! If you have not seen it yet, and are at all into superheroes, you need to see it.

No big plans today, just some cleaning and relaxing. Have a great day!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Nancy and I made the pilgrimage to Walmart last night. We finally have paper towels again!

I have a little work to do tomorrow, but I hope to spend a little time in the pool, and standing in front of the grill. We'll see how it works out.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
