The menu plan is just deciding what I want to cook for the week ahead and writing my grocery list based off of that. I'm a list maker for sure. I'd be lost without my lists!

Wow is it hot outside!
My wife and I put together our new wood rack for our chopped wood outside. We then did some other little yard work around the garden and moved some things, including moving the wood from the old rack to the new one. We were outside for about an hour and we were just pouring sweat. Back in the air conditioning for the rest of the day!

Happy Saturday MMC! We have a cloudy and damp Saturday morning here but it is the weekend which is always a plus. Hope everyone had a good week. I have some errands to do today but going to try to go for a hike either today or tomorrow too. And of course for all the dads out there I'm sure you are getting ready for Father's Day tomorrow. Have a great and awesome Saturday!

It's going to be cloudy today with a high of 72 degrees. Not too much going on here this morning, just taking it easy. We will be attending a college graduation party later this afternoon for my nephew. That's about it for today. I'm going to start cooking breakfast soon, just wanted to pop in quick to wish everyone a wonderful day!

The long-awaited and much-predicted rain finally arrived yesterday evening, accompanied by lightning, thunder, some wind, and flood warnings. Two inches was recorded on our rain gauge by this morning.
Calmer here for right now, but more rain is predicted today and in the days to come.
We are commencing this weekend at 73 degrees here in the capital city.

Humid and hot today!! Figured I better make pasta salad today...but I overlooked 1 important detail. It was almost done and there was no room in the fridge for the bowl! Nothing leftover to toss...my neighbor ended up with a bunch of yogurt..lol

Crazy busy as usual and not slowing down, but had to take a merry break. Hoping to check in more often on the weekends.

Christmas in July is on the way and some merry radio tunes are "in the works"; can't wait!!!
 
Hello all and Happy Saturday!
It is still 3000 degrees outside today.... ok, maybe not that hot, but still around 90 with a lot of humidity so it feels like the mid to upper 90s. YUCK! Relief is on the way though. A cold front moves in tomorrow and by Monday we are back in the upper 70s!

Today is my wife and I's eleventh anniversary! It has been an amazing eleven years with many more wonderful years to come!
We are not doing anything this weekend though. Well, tomorrow is Father's Day and we are having her family over for a cook-out. But we are going to ComicCon in Indianapolis in July that will be our celebration.

We did go out to a nice breakfast this morning and then to the farmer's market and nearby turkey farm and meat store. So we at least had a fun morning. Then I wrote a research paper proposal.

Well, everyone have a great evening!

Last night my wife and I were able to have a date night! A new Chinese restaurant opened up in town so we tried that it for dinner. It was wonderful. All of the other Chinese places in town are take out or buffet, but his is a nice little sit-down place. Great food, nice atmosphere.
After dinner we did a little shopping and went to see Wonder Woman. GREAT MOVIE!!! If you have not seen it yet, and are at all into superheroes, you need to see it.

No big plans today, just some cleaning and relaxing. Have a great day!

Happy Father's Day Iteach. My wife and I enjoyed ours on Thursday it was enjoyable. The only minor problem with the downtown area of Sioux Falls is that so many little restaurants have added the "outside" atmosphere that parking becomes a huge problem. I dropped her off at the place we chose to dine and then parked four blocks away. Oh well. We did see Wonder Woman and enjoyed it. My only negative observation would be due to the fact that I grew up on those comics and remember what she really had to do in order to represent the Amazons to the outside world. But beyond that... I will add it to my super-hero collection of DVDs when it comes out.

Good morning to all the MMC community. Happy Father's Day to those of you to whom it applies. For the ladies, I'm sure you have something in mind for that special person in your life (father, husband or both). No huge plans for me today, other than church this morning. I recognize the need to just relax some times as the years pass. I don't really like it, but understand it and today may be one of those occasions. Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity and trying to get some rest. I worked 10PM to 7AM on Saturday morning, came home, showered, changed and then off to the zoo for their final "Spring" event. Made it till noon, stopped on the way back to pick up a few things and then finally got home around 1PM. Connie had a girl's lunch, so I chose to get some rest and then got up at 4:30 so I could spend some time with her as well. Did dinner and watched a couple of shows before the sandman decided to come knocking around 9PM. Of course then I slept so had that viola... I'm up at 3:30AM. Ah, the never ending pleasures of getting older... lol.
Have a fabulous Sunday one and all enjoy the final full week of June and may the Lord watch over each and every household...
