Christmas Countdown - 2017

Happy Father's Day MMC! Hope all the Dads have a great day. Another rainy morning here. It's unreal how much rain we've had this spring. And yes it is still officially spring but about to turn to summer this coming week. And of course next weekend...I can't believe we'll basically be halfway to Christmas Weekend. That's just insane. I am going to do a few things today and also find time to relax before a long 5 day work week (and a busy one ahead). Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good Sunday Morning, Fellow Travelers.

The second half of our weekend is just beginning and it won't be long now before the second half of our Countdown to Christmas will begin as well!

This morning's numbers are ready, so let's look them over:
Days to the Season: 148
Days to Christmas Day: 190

Yesterday saw our Christmas Day count decline to single digits.
Today sees us move down to just barely over one, lone, single, solitary week to the half way point.
Yep. In just EIGHT short days, the SECOND HALF of our journey begins!
(Makes you just want to whistle a Christmas tune, doesn't it.)



Well, Mother Nature wants us to be wet so she has sent several days of rain our way and we have accumulated over 2 1/2 inches of it over that time.
Today has commenced very cloudy once again and it appears more precipitation is definitely on the way.
This morning begins here at 75 degrees.

Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day! I woke up to a foggy day and pretty cloudy. I helped my kids make breakfast this morning for my husband. We don't have too many plans today..just relaxing and my Dad may come over for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Greetings Gunny. Our humidity has it's up and downs. For now, it is on the cool side of the mid 60's with an expected high of only 73. I can handle that.

Good morning, everyone! Hope this finds you doing well. The birthday party was a success and yesterday afternoon was fun, too. We went over to my Mom's after the party and she bought our girls a waterslide from Sam's. We cooked out, played in water and had a blast! Such a good time...

As for today, I'm not sure what we are going to do. My wife worked really hard for the birthday party and I'm hoping I can talk her into just sitting around and relaxing. Wish me luck on that one...you Moms are awesome.

Well, we are going to eat breakfast here before too long. Y'all have a good day!

Greetings Ballcoach. Congrats on a successful birthday party. As for today, sometimes the best Father's Day of all is just having a very relaxing family day. Hopefully that is what it will be here as well. Even dinner is going to be KFC and some corn we will cook. I like most of the KFC menu, but the corn is way too soggy for me.

Good afternoon, everyone!

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads out there. I'm still not there yet. Perhaps I will be someday. It's been an enjoyable weekend thus far. As always, it's hard to believe that I will be going to work after tonight's sleep.

Teaching has been super busy. On Thursday, it was confirmed that I will be in the library for the rest of the school year. The best part is the fact that I will even be paid during the four/five days of exams, which start on Thursday. Hooray! Having a guaranteed job until the end of the month is great. As for the summer, however, I am still awaiting word to see if I will be teaching summer school again.

I should probably get some housework and laundry done today. It's nearly 100F outside with the humidex, but it feels quite comfortable in here - thanks to the air conditioner! Have a great Sunday, everyone!

90° in the shade and humid. Put the sprinkler on for the boys to crash around in and I somehow sun burnt my feet...lol I go in shorts and sandals almost all year and I burn my feet..idk.

Thxs CG! Hope you are having a good one. They boys got me a new cap that says " The only thing not a Marine is this hat"..lol Been a scorcher here today, even to miserable to grill tonight. My neighbor dropped off a emergency 3 cup of my favorite Starbucks iced coffee tonight. The girls asked him if it was for me cause I am the only one that orders that combo..lol

Happy Monday MMC! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It's really humid here and we expect some bad thunderstorms this evening. Hope I will be home before that happens. Other than just a 5 day work week for me before another 3 day weekend as I took off next Monday. Always something extra to look forward to. And of course Leon Day and the halfway marker and CIJ, and 4th of July etc. etc. all on their way soon. Have a great Monday!
