I wish we would do "year-round" school here like that. I hate school, but I love the routine that goes with the school year. The teachers would revolt because they wouldn't get their nine weeks off for summer! I know the pay isn't great & they have to deal with a lot of garbage, but nine weeks summer vacation, two week "winter holiday" vacation, one week spring break & one week fall break, seems like a good deal to me. Not to mention the nine "snow days" that are built in that they don't have to make up.

I would love to spend some time on Christmassy stuff, but I just can't find time to fit it in.
Wow 9 snow days? We get 3 if we're lucky lol.

Ohhhhhh Jayish. Get off Facebook and check in ........ Yabba for sure !
All present and accounted for! Facebook has been removed from our available sites to access here at the office...so I'm off there for the most part...But I'm here and in the Christmas mood!!! How you doing Binger-baby???

THE OPERA Part XIXIXVVI

Act 1: The curtain opens to the traditional empty stage. 20 minutes later the curtain closes:

end Act 1

Act II: Jayish enters and dances a Paus Du Lux entitled “ I am not a marshmallow kinda guy” The entire company enters and sings the beautiful aria” Peeps”. Coach enters and announces via an aria that as ambassador they are hereby proclaiming the “ Year of the Peep” and everyone will joyfully celebrate by going to their local CVS and ingesting handfuls of yellow peeps. Made and Prancer sing the beautiful aria “ Peeps: They’re Not just for breakfast”. Binger sings the aria “ Peeps and Coffee” what a winning combo! Brad enters and with CG Yaeger sings the aria “ Everyone should be fluorescent” . There is great rejoicing when on the mountaintop Crown appears and announces via an aria that The Peep Show is being cancelled due to the loud noise being made when they are chewed and thus it keeps them awake. The entire company sings a mournful aria entitled..” Ain’t no peeps when she’s gone..” as the Curtain closes

End Act II

Act III:

Edge and Do You hear what I hear enter and sing the aria “ My country peeps of thee”. Jayish enters and dances the scandalous Paus Du Lux entitled “ Peep at me”- the entire company enter and vow to carry on the peep show and celebration and sing the aria “ Peep it Up baby”- Crown again appears and using their wizardly powers seizes Jayish, McGunny, Christmas Star and Homemakin Girl and imprison them in the plastic cylinder. The entire remaining company sings the aria “ What’s Peeps Got To do with it” and vow to boycott CVS until the imprisoned comrades are released. The Act closes with a close up of Crown sleeping on a giant peep.

End Act III

Act IV: Finale

The villagers arrive and lead by Binger sing the aria from the 1973 Coven hit “ One Tin Solider” only substituting the lyrics “ Go ahead and cheat a friend” for “ Go ahead and deny a Peep” . Carl the Camel appears on stage and the villagers rush to empty his hump of a brewed peep blend. Then, using his two humps as a solidified slingshot, they pepper Crown ( still asleep on a giant peep) with a barrage of chocolate m and ms which awakens them. Crown awakens realizing the error of their ways due to a loud candy causing even LESS SLEEP, and in one of the most moving moments ever in operatic history, announces the Peep show starring Jayish was back on and the Peep celebration was again to be restored. The company rush the plastic cylinder and release the hostages. There is great joy as the entire company come together to sing the aria “ It’s a marshmallow world” as the curtain closes and peeps are dropped from the ceiling… End….
Happy Days are HERE AGAIN!!! I'M DANCING!!!

We have cows everywhere here - Gracie barks at them! :p
I grew up near dairy farms. Our elementary school playground bordered a cow field, with only a fence and an electric wire separating them. Many's the time someone had to crawl under the electric fence to retrieve a lost ball! We often used to see the bull "playing piggyback" with the cows without a notion of what was really going on. And then there was the day a cow gave birth during recess ...

Just say, "Moo."

What a great memory! :)

What a gorgeous summer day we have today!

I'm praying for safety for those in the path of Tropical Storm Cindy and the rain that goes with it.
Hope you are enjoying the beautiful day!
And me too! We all like to have rain from time to time but we don't need these nasty storms!

What a great memory! :)
It's hard to forget something like that! I remember recess running a little long that day ... and the teachers said NOTHING about it the rest of the day, once we went back in! (Well, back then, third grade was a little young to get into that sort of biology.)

Ha ha ha - I can understand that! ;)

As much as I can, from the office window ... but there's a nice view.
That's good, although sometimes it's hard to see it & not be able to be out in it! Though I would rather have the view than not! ;) It's hot & sticky here today. It was 86º already at lunch when I brought Gracie to the groomer!

Good evening, everyone!

Just popping in to say hello! There is now officially only three more exam days of school. The summer here is so close! Four days remain until we reach the halfway point, too?! How fantastic is that?! I think it's fitting that Christmas has been on my mind so much as of late.

Well, I shouldn't spend much time on here today. I have to finish my Special Education qualification, and then prepare for an interview that I must attend tomorrow morning at 9am. Wish me luck on both accounts!

Have a great rest of your Thursday, everyone!

Morning MMC! TGIF! I have Monday off so extra TGIF to me! It's a warm and humid day here today with showers coming. But the last few days were beautiful out. Hoping it clears up enough to have a mostly nice weekend. Weather guy says next week will be a beautiful week with nice temps a little below average for summer and low humidity. Hope everyone is excited for the Halfway to Christmas Weekend. Let that sink in for a minute.

Good Morning, Everyone!
Rise, shine, have that cup of tea, grab one of those take-out fired twinkies you got at the 'Pines Wednesday (you DID get some, didn't you?) sit back and enjoy the latest count figures.

Days to the Season: 143
Days to Christmas Day: 185

And if it's not too much of a shock to your system so early in the morning, read on concerning our next Milestone.
It's the HALF WAY marker to Christmas Day and it's......now hold on to your reindeer reigns.....just THREE days away, now.
That's LESS THAN HALF A WEEK!
(Oops. I should have also warned you to be sure and sit down, first. Sorry!)

Rather cloudy all day yesterday, but I never saw anything beyond a mild sprinkle as far as precipitation is concerned. We did get rain overnight, though.
Today might be relatively dry, before the edges of "Cindy" arrive tomorrow.
(Actually, it's not predicted to amount to much, here.)
We now stand (on sodden ground) at 75 degrees in our part of MMC Land, under very cloudy skies..

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And enjoy your Weekend Eve!
