Christmas Countdown - 2017

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I worked in the yard yesterday afternoon, and got all the grass cut and sidewalks & curbing edged. Now I just have to cut all the crazy shrubbery. I wish I could pull up all that stuff and replace it with plastic shrubs. Do they make that? They should!

My brother has decided to finally marry his girlfriend of 15 years, and he's asked me to be his best man. I've been to some pretty good bachelor parties in my day, but that was a long time ago. What do old guys do for bachelor parties now? LOL

It's hard to realize that next weekend is the weekend before July Fourth! This year has gone by in a blur.
Happily, my office is closed on July 3rd, too. I'll enjoy that extra day off! (I'll probably loaf and watch patriotically-themed movies.)

Good morning MMC!!! Merry rainy Friday!! WOW it's pouring!!!

We had our last pre-fest party last night, now tonight it's time for the festival to begin! It's supposed to rain until 9:00 tonight so we may not even make it up there until tomorrow. I might be comfy in my lawn chair by 9:00! The rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice. High of 75º tomorrow, high of 71º Sunday! By Monday the high is 69! Crazy weather!

Good evening, everyone!

Just popping in to say hello! There is now officially only three more exam days of school. The summer here is so close! Four days remain until we reach the halfway point, too?! How fantastic is that?! I think it's fitting that Christmas has been on my mind so much as of late.

Well, I shouldn't spend much time on here today. I have to finish my Special Education qualification, and then prepare for an interview that I must attend tomorrow morning at 9am. Wish me luck on both accounts!

It's the HALF WAY marker to Christmas Day and it's......now hold on to your reindeer reigns.....just THREE days away, now.
That's LESS THAN HALF A WEEK!
(Oops. I should have also warned you to be sure and sit down, first. Sorry!)


Rather cloudy all day yesterday, but I never saw anything beyond a mild sprinkle as far as precipitation is concerned. We did get rain overnight, though.
Today might be relatively dry, before the edges of "Cindy" arrive tomorrow.
(Actually, it's not predicted to amount to much, here.)
We now stand (on sodden ground) at 75 degrees in our part of MMC Land, under very cloudy skies..

Morning MMC! TGIF! I have Monday off so extra TGIF to me! It's a warm and humid day here today with showers coming. But the last few days were beautiful out. Hoping it clears up enough to have a mostly nice weekend. Weather guy says next week will be a beautiful week with nice temps a little below average for summer and low humidity. Hope everyone is excited for the Halfway to Christmas Weekend. Let that sink in for a minute.

I mentioned it last night to the neighbors that Sunday is half way back to Christmas....you should have seen the eye rolls.

We went to Nashville last summer. The Grand Ol' Opry was awesome, but the rest of the town was too metropolitan for me. Jim may have to settle for a low country boil in the back yard. LOL

Thanks SFM!! The rain stopped for a few minutes so I ran home to let Gracie out. The little stinker would NOT go out this morning when it was raining/thundering. It was good timing too b/c on my way back to work it started raining again! It rained hard enough it will probably be a slick muddy mess at the fest tonight but hopefully it dries out tomorrow! xx

We went to Nashville last summer. The Grand Ol' Opry was awesome, but the rest of the town was too metropolitan for me. Jim may have to settle for a low country boil in the back yard. LOL

That doesn't sound all bad either! Relaxing!! A few lately have gone go cart racing, golfing, bowling, 4 wheeling, or fishing! I'm sure you all will have fun whatever you decide! When is he getting married?
