Good afternoon .. another beautiful day here. Wish we had this weather for the rest of summer. I am on vacation count down as I am on vacation next week. Not going anywhere but instead will use my time to get projects done around home. Maybe I will sneak in so me baking too .. Got a coupe new recipes I want to try out.

A tantalizing Tuesday to you Holiday. I'm glad your festival was everything you hoped for (minus the Christmas crafts of course). I have loved this ending to June. Not a huge 85+ fan and so the 70's during the day and 50's at night suit my "hot blooded" internal temperatures... lol.
Mine go on several times during the off season. A 6 footer stays in the dining room, a four foot in the kitchen and of course two smaller ones in my office. Enjoy these last few days of June...

I'm only a fan of 85 + if we are moving in the convertible or on the boat! Today is a perfect day!! 70º & nothing but sunshine!

Howdy Edge. I can sympathize with being tired (or will be). My daughter has "arranged" for a 4th of July block party and printed up some 200 flyers to pass around the neighborhood. Which means my upcoming three-day weekend (Sun - Tues) is going to be very full. Of course I don't think that many will come over as a lot of people have their own plans on the 4th, but just the same, looks to be a long day. Not to mention the two prep days prior. Oh well, at least the good Lord has given me the abilities to handle it.

A Terrific final June Tuesday to one and all on this auspicious gathering site. Yesterday was busy and this morning got split up from my earlier posts with a pause for morning Bible study. Got home and started working in the yard, but I have to invest in some ground clear to help get those weed down to the roots. I have a lot to do in these next few days and hopefully that will still leave me a moment or two for this place of relaxation and cheer. July marks my one year anniversary here, with many more to come. I hope everyone is enjoying these last few days of June with the dawning of our first full month of Summer as well as CIJ.
Weather here will be nice for the rest of this week and projected to be sunny and 87 on the 4th. Take care all and have a great day...

Happy Pines Day MMC! Last one of the 1st half of the year. I have a lot going on with my brother here through the 4th. Busy times. At work I'm just catching up this week on stuff before the next couple of weeks gets really busy. Looks like today might be the nicest day we have for weeks. Humidity and hotter weather start to come back later this week through next week. Well July and August are usually like that so it makes sense. Have a great mid-week!

Days to the Season: 138
Days to Christmas Day: 180

Now, the data on our next marker, which is the 2/3 point to the Season, as stated above.
Not so far off now! In fact, it's just TWO WEEKS FROM THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW.
Yep. That close. July 14th.


We had a really delightful day here yesterday, due primarilly to the lower humidity.
Really quite comfortable. No rain or even the threat of it all day.
Today is starting nice too, at 63 sunny degrees here in the capital city.


Well, this evening marks the final 'Pines Day open house for June.
July 4th falls on a Tuesday next week, so Carl will be moving open house back a day to accommodate the holiday. (It just wouldn't do to shoot off fireworks on July 5th, would it?)
More about Carl's plans in a future release.


In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends.
And I hope to see you at the 'Pines tonight!

Rain is predicted every day except Sunday! We are hoping to take the pontoon across the lake to listen to our friend sing/play on Sunday so maybe that will work out ok! xx

Good Pinesday morning, Christmas friends!

I still have a truckload of shrub trimmings in the back of my truck. I haven't been able to find the time to drive out to the farm to unload them since I filled the truck on Saturday. My neighbors obviously think I'm crazy. Two of them watched me ride by this morning LOL.

I'm going to have a talk with my son about being quiet at night. At 4:30 this morning, he stomped through the house to the bathroom, slammed the door, and stomped back. I've been awake ever since. Grr. I really considered throwing a cold cup of water in his face at 6:30, and yelling "GOOD MORNING, SUNSHINE!" LOL

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's been a beautiful couple of days here in Central Indy but the heat is starting to work it's way back in starting today. Mom flew out to seattle last wednesday and i've been busy getting stuff done around here that's hard to do with her in the way. I've also been having fun at our county fair and enjoying the peace and quiet. Oh and there's been that whole getting stuff ready for my trip thing too. i'm already dreading how quickly it's going to fly by. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!
