Well I got mom home from the airport in what can only be described as a frog strangler. I actually got turned around because I couldn't even see the road signs. Glad that's over.
Now just thinking back to the fun from last Friday night.

Good Saturday morning! It's 4:45am, why am I up? I'm sure going to bed at 8:30pm last night has something to do with it. I'll try and rest a bit more.
I had an encouraging visit at the physiotherapist Thursday, she mentionned that my muscles were getting looser and that I was on the right track. But then last evening my tendon was killling me, go figure.
It looks like rain today, so we'll get some shopping done and catch up on the dvr I think. And laundry, cause there's always laundry to do. Hope you will all have a wonderful weekend!

Morning MMC! This looks like it will be a nice summer weekend. The heat really hasn't been terrible thus far this summer. The humidity has been back and forth. We got a lot of rain Friday so everything is wet out but the sun is coming out now. Just a bunch of errands to do today and going to meet my friend for a little hike. My body finally feels like it's back on schedule with sleeping normal hours the last 3 nights. Have a great Saturday!

Now, today's big news, concerning our next Milestone marker.
It appears that in just SIX more days, less than a week now, we will be arriving at the TWO-THIRDS point to Christmas Season 2017.
Unbelievable, you say?
Well, if you read it in "The Daily Countdown", it's so. Right?
Right!
Still the heat. Still the humidity. Still the sun and the calm.
But no rain, and yesterday evening it cooled off a bit - possibly a harbinger of milder weather to come for the weekend.
This morning has dawned here at 79 degrees, but it feels a bit more refreshing since the humidity is not quite as high.

The 4th of July Parade in the Lakewood neighborhood of Dallas was a huge success! Many were surprised to see Santa in the parade. It was funny to see the children and some adults very excited to see Santa and the other adults confused. You can tell who the real believers are. Lots of "Happy 4th, Santa!" and "Merry Christmas in July, Santa!" from the believers.
Hey there, friend! Great looking Patriotic Santa suit! Sure wish we were able to make that parade. Our granddaughter has been asking about you!
