The annual CIJ party will kick off at apprx. 8pm tonite with the pig going on the cooker. Crazy weather forced me to get some party tents to keep everyone dry tomorrow. Almost forgot my peanut oil for the turkey fryers, and then remembered I never filled my CO2 for the beer. Luckily help is easy to get for this party..lol. 75 lbs of homemade charcoal was delivered this week. Now we have flash flood warnings...

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday!!! Not much going on here, just working & it's muggy outside!! They are saying humidity is supposed to let up as the day goes on & we only have a high of 81 so that's not too bad! After work I'll head to moms for the day/night.

Everyone, have a great day!!

Morning MMC! Happy Friday! I'm off today so I slept in a little (for me). It's a rainy Friday but you know the saying "I'll take a rainy Friday over a sunny Monday." Rollins likes going into this stream at the park which leads into a river. It's weird cause he hates baths (although the last few times I gave him one he didn't object as much as he usually does to them). He likes to go in the stream and get a drink. Last night as I went downhill towards the stream he pulled me too fast (he doesn't know the meaning of the word "slow") and I fell in the stream with him. He got up and started jumping in it like a little kid jumping in puddles. Well I had to come home and dry off. But I mainly got wet from the waist down. Hope you all have a great Friday!

Oh my goodness this made me smile. Hope you didn't get hurt though!

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, Folks.
And a Merry Milestone Day to one and all!

<< Are we really at another Milestone again so soon, Crown? >>
Yes indeed we are, little voice. And I will fill in the details once we review today's numbers.

Days to the Season: 122
Days to Christmas Day: 164

Yes, sir.
Milestone marker number eleven. It is here!
It's the two thirds marker to the Season.
(That's TWO thirds now, not one third, Guys.)
Which, of course, means we only have one single, solitary third left to go!
And let me tell you right now, the NEXT marker is going to knock your Christmas socks off.
(But we will let that go for another day.)

Whew!!
It's so hot and humid here now that our local weather forecaster is issuing health warnings regarding heat stroke and lack of hydration. Some people have had to be hospitalized as we continue day after day into triple digit heat index readings.
No relief is promised for today but tomorrow is supposed to be a bit better. That will come attached to possible severe thunderstorms, however.
(Seems sometimes you loose even when you win!)
We are at a sultry and super-humid 80 degrees here right now in the hot capital city.

Try to stay cool, Everyone. And have the most Fabulous Friday you can.
(Oh. And a Wildly Wondrous Weekend Eve, too!)

Thank you Crown and Happy Milestone Day. Keep cool and have a wonderful day!!!

Oh no...crazy Rollins!! I hope you didn't get hurt at all! Have a great day off!

Have a great day Holiday!

Happy Friday!! A pretty dreary day but I am excited I am picking up my oldest daughter tonight at camp at 5. I am sure she will be exhausted and I will let her pick what she wants for dinner. I am hoping to watch some QVC today too. Not too many plans for the weekend. WE may go to the beach on Sunday. Have a great day!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I have a full day of work to do this morning, and I sitting here looking out the window, drinking a cup of coffee. Get to work, Bradmac!!

We have the wedding rehearsal and dinner tonight, then the big event tomorrow.

I hope y'all have a great weekend! :D
Have fun tonight & at the wedding tomorrow!! Congrats to Jim & his bride to be!!!

Our house spaghetti sauce is Spatini!* You can't buy the mix in the stores anymore, but I found a copycat recipe that's almost perfect!

*Spatini was a powdered seasoning mix in a little pouch that you simmered with tomato paste and a little oil to make spaghetti sauce. They only make it in industrial-sized pouches for food service now.
That's interesting. I've never heard of it!

I hope your tests are ok!

My mom makes an AWESOME spaghetti sauce that takes her most of the day to make and simmer. Mine is usually Ragu, or something like that LOL.

Thank you Brad, I should have the lab results in a week. Something is going on with my immune system, they drew 15 tubes of blood this time! If I don't get some answers with this round of blood work, I never will.
My Grandma simmered her sauce all day so that's the way I make it too. She was such a good cook, she could whip anything up in no time and everything was delicious. But that sauce had to cook low and slow.
Have fun at the rehearsal tonight, how exciting!

Sending prayers your way HMG!! I hope you get some good answers!!!
I bet your sauce is amazing!

Good morning ~
Merry Friday and Happy Milestone Day!
It's a gloomy day here. We have showers passing through. It cooled off a bit over night as well, we are currently at 64 degrees. I'm having my coffee right now and I'm working on a grocery list. I have to head out in a little bit to pick up a prescription at Rite Aid. I also need to stop at the post office and butcher. I may run to the pet store at some point too. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. I'm going to make beef stew for dinner tonight. I guess that's about it. Oh and my middle one started a new job today, can't wait until she gets home to hear how it went.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!
