I hope you get some positive news from the doctor on Tuesday. Time is a necessary "pain" for our body to heal. Sounds like you'll have some fun baking for the upcoming fair. What are the 5 mandatory recipes? Hope those old-fashioned Christmas lights brighten your day :)

Scones
Blueberry coffee cake
Morning glory muffins
Gumdrop fruit cake
Chiffon cake
Lemon curd

All are not ones I would ever use, my own recipes are much better. Although I've never made or heard of gum drop fruitcake before. That's the one I made and it really is not very good. Needs rum.

Okay gang. The big hand is almost on the 12 and the little hand on the eight, so by my estimates, it is time to get outside and start the day.
Have a blessed day everyone and I'll check in from time to time during the day, as my body says... "Are you nuts? Take a break already!"

This made me laugh thanks for the smile ;)

You are more than welcome MsRose. How are things down in the warmer part of these United States? It's nice to hear from you once again and if I may, a person with the true spirit of Christmas within her heart will never have to live vicariously through anyone. Your own light will shine very brightly right where you are. Have a wonderful finish to July...

Sunday night is falling and amazingly enough, so are my eyelids. I trust this final Sunday in July was good for all the members of the MMC family. See you all in the morning, but for now, Mr Sandman and I have an urgent appointment...

Morning all and a happy Monday. Another week. We're just home from the family vacation so I'm unpacking and sorting most of the day. Thankfully I've another two days off before going back to work.

Back after weeks of weird shifts. I look forward to catching up with all of my MMC friends. I hope you've all been well.
Frosty old friend, it is good to hear from you once again. I think that many of us in the MMC community can certainly relate to different shifts and pressing schedules during this time of year. I understand even Snowflake22 has been burning the candle at both ends (maybe even in between as well). On this end, I am doing well. This is my third day off and it almost seems surreal. Not use to this many days off unless they are chock full of things to do.
Have a great last day of July and hopefully will we hear more from you as we approach the reason with the best "Reason"...

Happy Monday to you as well Tis. I hope your vacation was restful and provided your memory "bank" with some marvelous investments that you will draw on for year to come. Like you, I always add a day or two to the end of my vacation to unpack, reacquaint myself to the normality of life and just rest up for another tour of duty. So welcome back and enjoy your final July day of 2017...

Morning MMC! Can't believe it but today is the last day of July. Wow only 1 month away till we go right into the Bers again. Halloween stuff is starting to show up in the stores now here. It's pretty awesome and exciting. Sunday was a great day out and today should be the same except warmer. My "busy week" at work of the month and I got teased by coworkers about the fact I'm actually working a full 5 day week for a rare occasion this summer. Have a great last day of July!

Good Morning MMC !

wow, last day of July already, half the summer is over !
our community had another movie night under the stars last night. Wee did not stay for it, but looks like it will be another big crowd.

this is behind our city hall in the new market square that was just finished last month.

Not much to do today, have a meeting at 4:30.
hoping you all have a fantastic day !!

Afternoon Gunny. That is one of the many reasons I moved away from the big city. I grew up in LA and the traffic even back in the 70's was horrendous.
Enjoy these last two days of July Marine...

Lol..we had no big city when I was growing up..we drove over a hour and we could go to Richmond Va. That city is divided into 2 sections..business and historic sections. Lol..everything else was considered a dump. They have horrible traffic on even worse roads.

Good Morning, Folks.

We have reached the begining of a new week. A week which will see us arrive at a major Milestone towards its end. A marker which then be succeeded by an exciting fast track once we drop a digit on one of our counts!
<< Sounds both interesting and exciting, Crown! >>
It is. Just wait for the details.

Days to the Season: 105
Days to Christmas Day: 147

Five short days from today. This Saturday. We will see day 100 arrive in our Season count.
And once that window has been passed, we will begin to experience the thrill of a DOUBLE DIGIT Season count
(These are exciting times, Folks!)

Really pretty nice here yesterday with both reduced temperatures and lower humidity. No rain either.
Today will see the thermometer climb back to 87, but with humidity levels in the 40's, it should be very pleasant indeed.
We have commenced this Milestone week at 63 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a truly Marvelous Monday, Friends!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Monday!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 84 degrees. Not too much going on here today. I'm just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes before I start cooking breakfast. I did a lot of cleaning yesterday so the house is in good shape. I'm working on a couple of loads of laundry right now. I'm going to take a ride to Bed, Bath & Beyond at some point. I'm making chicken pot pies for dinner, I haven't made those in awhile. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a very happy last day of July!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

What a beautiful day! I was out for my morning walk about 6:15 and it was a bit chilly! When I got in my truck to come to work at 7:45, it was 68°F. That's downright frostbit for south Georgia in July! It's supposed to be in the low 80's for a couple days, and I love it. I know, I know. It's going to be 100° again before the Fall kicks in, but it sure is nice for now!

Nancy had a bit of a rough weekend with pain, but she's calling the doctor's office this morning, so hopefully they can help.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning to one and all. It is Monday and the 31st of July. As we put the seventh month of 2017 into the record books, I for one, look forward to August and beyond. I have already made some plans as to the outside decorations this Christmas season and more than one gift has already been taken care of.
For this, my third day off, I will try and get a little more of my yard plans accomplished, while still taking a moment or two for some rest and relaxation. I love this time of the morning. The rest of my house and most of the world is still sleeping. The silence is only broken by some very gentle instrumental Christmas music and the occasional bird waking up. Sometimes I think the enjoyment of "peace & quiet" is becoming a thing of the past for many here and around the world. For me... bring it on.

Morning Edge. Halloween stuff showing up? Do you have a Hobby Lobby where you are? I went into one the other day and at least 1/5 is already Christmas items. May drop by there again today... lol.
Last of July pal so live it up...
