Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Friday morning! A 4-day weekend for me. It's so cold this morning, a measly 7°C/44°F. First time in a long time that I'll have to wear a jacket to walk Loki. As much as I look forward to the Christmas season, I wish Summer would last longer. This will be a day for chores and running errands, trying to get a lot done so there will be less to do this weekend. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning, Folks!

Drawing ever nearer by the day.
Nearer to our Season of choice, capped by the most wonderful day of the year!
And we mark our progress with Milestone markers, the next of which is just 15 days away.
(More about that, momentarily.)

First, as always, we present the daily count data:
Days to the Season: 73
Days to Christmas Day: 115

And that second number does indeed confirm that the ONE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW will be reached just TWO weeks from tomorrow, to be succeeded immediately by the commencement of a double, double-digit count sequence.
(The excitement builds, Guys!)


We had a brief early evening sprinkle yesterday, but otherwise had real nice weather to round out August.
Today should be nice as well, as we prepare for our trip to the coast. Might get a little rain over there tomorrow but Sunday and Monday are predicted to be nice.
Currently, we see 69 degrees here on our back door thermometer and a light rain is falling.

I know what you mean. It's even worse when it's a British summer as it never truly arrives ! Enjoy the remainder of the summer .

TGIF MMC! But just as, if not more importantly Happy September and Bers Season! This is what many of us wait all year for. I know that I do. It just doesn't seem possible that we're in the Bers again but we are. I plan on watching some Halloween shows to celebrate the beginning of the season starting tonight into this 3 day holiday weekend. Also we plan to say bye to summer by going to the Amusement park tonight for it's grand finale of fireworks. A little sad yes but it's all worth it for what we have coming these next 4 months. Have a great 1st day of your Bers everyone!

Yes! I have a small box full of different flavor varieties I've bought, and most of them expire and get thrown out because when I want tea, I reach for plain old Ty-phoo. Every now and then I have a cup of flavored chamomile in the evening, or peppermint, or Bigelow's Cinnamon Stick, but it's rare. During the season, I like the occasional cup of Stash's Holiday Chai or Christmas Morning.

Morning Merry. Never acquired a taste for tea, but on a rare occasion I will add some flavoring to my coffee. Usually either French Vanilla, Cinnamon or just a touch of hot cocoa mix.

Howdy Edge. Not a whole lot planned for me this weekend. I may watch the salute to the late Jerry Lewis that TCM is going to host on the evening of the 4th. Enjoy the day and sounds like some nice plans to both end the Summer and bring in the Fall...
