Morning MMC! Today we expect a high of 74 with partly cloudy skies. There's a chance of a shower but mainly it should be a dry day after a rainy Wednesday. Looking forward to the NFL returning tonight. Just another sign that Autumn is about to begin and the Bers are here. Well hope you all have a great day today. Enjoy your Friday Eve!

Good Morning, Folks!

They're back!
<< What, Crown? >>
SINGLE DIGITS, little voice. They have arrived once again.
<< Single digits to what, Crown? >>
Stay tuned.

Days to the Season: 67
Days to Christmas Day: 109

And those single digits spoken of above refer, of course, to the 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY Window, now just 9 days away.
(Yep. That's single digits, alright!)

More rain yesterday afternoon, but no lightning, thunder or winds like we had on Tuesday.
It should be dry today with highs in the 70's, which conditions are predicted to hold through to the weekend, at which point Irma will become our primary weather issue.
Right now, we read a surprisingly cool 57 dgrees on our back door thermometer.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.
And get all geared up for Weekend Eve tomorrow!

Thanks Crown!! My friend is heading to OBX tonight to play golf this weekend...lol.

Damn.. I broke my tradition about not listening to christmas music before i've watched The Nightmare Before Christmas / Halloween has been and gone.

The london orchestra christmas classiscs on youtube.. i got 2 mins into it, then had to stop it....

There's an inverse relationship... the closer to 40 yrs old i get, the younger my inner child becomes.

I'm sick. I have a bahum-bug.

Happy Friday Eve!! I did not sleep well last night so caffeine will be my friend today..lol I usually only have 1 cup of coffee a day but I will for sure need another. Just the usual work for me today. My oldest daughter has her first soccer game tomorrow so one of the players is having a pasta party at their house tonight so I think I will take my youngest out for pizza tonight. Hope you all have a good day!!

Has anyone seen all the Irma pics? Just awful...

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve! It's another chilly morning, but the sun is shining bright! Supposed to have a high of 66 today.
Not much going on today - just work & then I need to get busy on laundry. It's Thursday already!!! I have mom this weekend so I'll be there & Jim will be at the lake. I have help coming in Saturday night through Sunday morning so I can go to the lake to watch the Bucks on the big screen, & I also have help coming in Sunday afternoon until Marie gets to Moms Monday morning.
Enjoy your day everyone!!!

Well we are inching close to the 100 day mark.
I'm sat here at the minute - enjoying a cup of tea and making lists on the computer and in my Christmas notebook. I am a serial list maker!
So far I have done
  • my Christmas list for family members - and am happy to say over half of them are done now with buying in sales so its just a few cheaper bits to pick up and some toy store vouchers nearer to Xmas.
  • my Christmas list for direct family (ie kids and husband) - I have idea for my husband and son and its just waiting until pay day to start buying
  • my stocking list for direct family - both the kids are that bit older now so I don't want to fill their stockings with just tat and rubbish that they wont use or will end up binned a few weeks later so that's sorted
  • Our Xmas Eve Box - still planning and adding to this but have done something similar every year so it just depend s on whether or not Im working now which depends on how much we get to do!
  • Our Christmas food prep list - for Xmas dinner and any little extras we like over the holiday season. Ive been saving store vouchers for this though so have Xmas dinner covered already.
  • Winter food prep - in case the bad weather does hit - being on top of a mountain means we get cut off from the local store and our main town is only accessible by two roads both of which are susceptible to landslides in the winter and one is up a very steep hill which is impassible if ice comes.
  • Baking list - Im hoping to find time at the beginning of December to bake and freeze a load of homemade goodies so we can cook them as and when needed to save time later on.
So after all that festiveness I am about to go and clean out two lizard tanks. Nothing brings you back to earth with a bump than shovelling sand.
Have a good day all

It sounds like you are really organized! How fun to be planning!

Have a great day SFM ~ stay awake!

Good morning ~
Happy Thursday!
It's going to be partly cloudy today with a high of 75 degrees. I'm heading out soon to run my errands, back home afterward to work on the the laundry. Just a typical day. I found a bunch of Fall leaves window clings that I bought last year so I'm going to put those up today. I also received vintage looking Halloween cut outs that I ordered, I need to put those up as well. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs with tomato & mozzarella salad. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well!
xx

I can almost see it falling into a "Must See" in the future. Hopefully no big movies release at the same time and bury it.
Agree! But hopefully we have some good holiday movies!!

You reminded me I have some fall/leaf clings at the lake I need to get out. Maybe between staying with mom this weekend I can get that done!
Have a great day! Enjoy the spaghetti & meatballs! :)

Time to start a new tradition!

I can listen to Christmas music at any time, but most likely to listen after July Fourth. I have some "core" Christmas music that I save especially for the season, so I don't get tired of festive tunes.

Since July, I've been listening (in the car) to Christmas CDs that we bought over the years for specific tracks, but never played all the way through. Got some nice surprises along the way!
