Good Morning, Fellow MMC'ers!

Really closing in now on a BIG Milestone marker, about which we will talk after the presentation of today's figures.

Days to the Season: 66
Days to Christmas Day: 108

The marker: The 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY Window.
The distance: EIGHT days away. ONE WEEK from tomorrow.
The excitement level: Building by the day!

We had a nice cool day yesterday, at times almost chilly. The kind of weather that makes you think a hurricane could not possibly be coming.
But the atmosphere is deceptive, as we are still might get an unwanted visit from Ms. Irma starting late Monday. Hopefully, the storm track will continue to veer west and only the far western part of the state will be affected, and then with greatly reduced winds.
Today is supposed to be clear and cool also, and we have commenced it at a chilly 55 degrees under sunny skies.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And thoroughly enjoy your Weekend Eve!

That's where I'm going to be LOL!

Awww! Was she sleeping there or wanting a belly rub?
It started as a belly rub, but I think she got comfy & dozed...for a few seconds! LOL

Good Friday late morning! No rain today but it's rather cool. Tempereatures are supposed to go back up and it's looking like early next week will be sunny and warm. We had a scare last evening around supper time when my mother-in-law called from the hospital. David's father had not been feeling well all day and his blood pressure was really high, so they went to see his cardiologist. We got a call at midnight letting us know "everything is hunky dory" (exact words my mil used) and he had been discharged. Hope he's feeling much better today, anything heart-related is always a concern since he had quadruple bypass surgery a few years ago. I'm currently taking it easy on my day off. Don't feel like doing much today, but there is some cleaning to be done. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Martine! I'm so glad everything is Hunky dory with your FIL! Hopefully that was a fluke & he's good to go now! Prayers!!
Enjoy your day off & have a wonderful weekend! (((HUGS))) to Loki!

Signs of the season!

A) Hallmark has their Halloween merchandise out.

B) So does Rite-Aid!

I like seeing that! Soon those orange and blacks will be swapped for a different colour scheme. Something tells me that we will like that one better. :)

Everyone, have a wonderful weekend. Everyone in Irma's path, stay safe!!!

Good morning, everyone!

The first week back at school and I've been busy. I have worked every day this week. It's practically unheard-of for a substitute teacher. I guess that's what happens when you're active in the community.

Kim and I met with our officiant last night. It was a very nice meeting. We had only discussed things over the phone thus far. I think we threw her off a little bit by our non-traditionalities. We've dropped a few things from the ceremony that we felt added non-sensible downtime, so it should be a little bit quicker. We like that. She had a suggestion or two, as well. We were happy to add one of them. Otherwise, we're not really budging. I think we're set and happy with how it'll be - we just need to choose the music... or, at least, Kim does.

No real plans for the weekend just yet. I think we're taking it easy. We have to dog-sit Kim's friend Olivia's pug Charlie. He's a sweet guy. He's been welcoming when Simon slept at his house for about a full week. We've had Charlie at our house before, but only for an hour or so at a time. Hopefully Simon is OK with him spending the night... You just never know with that cat.

Well, it's almost lunch time. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable Friday. Keep your eyes peeled for some buddings. I went to the Seasonal section at War-Mart yesterday and noticed that they didn't even have any Halloween stuff out. I was baffled. They still had bug spray and a few patio sets. I think this Wal-Mart must have bad management because those should have been gone almost month ago! ... at least that's how it's been in years past. Perhaps I will get to check out another shortly.
