Greetings everyone!

Its been quite some time since I've posted anything. I pop in occasionally and read, but in the past months our family has been through a great deal and I haven't been posting much of anything anywhere. We're in Florida, so this evening instead of sitting and watching local weather forecasts updating on Hurricane Irma every 10 minutes, I decided I'd rather have some fun and post on the forum, think about Christmas and all the wonderful things still to come.

I'm going to peruse the site for a while, get caught up, see what Christmas trouble I can get into, but just wanted to post to say I think about the members of this site on a daily basis. I have never met any of you in person, nor spoken on the phone, but the conversations and sharing are always with me and mean more than you may know.

Hope everyone is well and blessed and looking forward to the upcoming Christmas season!! I did buy my first autumn home decoration a few days ago at Hobby Lobby. It made me entirely too happy to see this display:

Many season greetings to you all!

So nice to see you graywolf. Sending prayers your way, be safe. Please check back in and let us know how you're doing <3

Good Sunday morning! Very happy that I only had to work half the weekend, as yesterday was brutal. Only redeeming thing about the work day is that a few employees wished me a happy birthday and one brought me a cake, one gave me macaroons (I had always wanted to try macaroons so this was a real treat) and one gave me chocolate. I was really touched. This day is starting out grey and gloomy but the sun should come out. After running errands and doing some housechores, I think I'll treat myself to a marathon of Homeland season 6 on iTunes, the only way I have to watch this show, since I received gift cards for this service. Have a great day everyone and for those in Irma's path, please stay safe.

Good Morning, Guys.

Continuing on with our count, we present another data release:
Days to the Season: 64
Days to Christmas Day: 106

And there you have it.
We are now UNDER the ONE WEEK mark to the 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW!
Then, we begin a double-double-digit count to our two goals.
(Wow!)

The incredible, fall-like weather continues here unabated.
It normally feels like this in mid-October, not early September, but believe me we will take it!
Currently, we see another rather chilly 54 degrees here at this hour, with the promise of another nice, sunny, dry day ahead.
(On the negative side, we do have several relatives down in Florida, but they are either in sturdy structures or have evacuated, as Irma bears down.)

Have a Super Sunday Folks, wherever you may be (which hopefully is not in Irma's path!)
Thanks Crown! We've got an early Autumn here too this year!

Good morning MMC ~
I'm having my coffee and watching coverage of the hurricane. We have friends and family throughout Florida and I'm concerned. Thoughts and prayers for every one that is in Irma's path. Praying hard for all of the animals that will be affected as well.
I don't have too much going on here. I may take a ride to a local craft fair if I feel up to it. There are always lots of homemade Autumn and Christmas decorations at this fair so I would like to go. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. I already fried meatballs and have a pot of sauce simmering. Dinner will be baked ziti. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well.
xx

Sending belated Happy Birthday wishes! Enjoy your day off Martine, hope it's a great one. Sending hugs!

Morning MMC! Welcome back to the NFL on Sundays. It just feels awesome seeing it on every Sunday now. We are going to my Uncle's this evening for dinner as we do once a month. It's always fun. Last night we had a friend over so it's turned into a busy weekend. But another gorgeous day here with a high of 72 and mostly sunny skies. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thxs Crown!!! I was up so late watching the Richmond race last night, having trouble getting the day started..lol

Good Saturday evening, Christmas friends.

We've decided to stay home since Irma seems to be tracking farther west. I hope that's a good decision. It's a toss-up between fighting the wind, or risking the overcrowded roads.

While I was closing the pool and moving lawn furniture to the shop, we got the call that our niece had suddenly passed away while watching her son play a baseball game. She was only 33 and hadn't been sick. She left two children, 10 and 4.

The storm is also demanding our attention, and we can't even plan her funeral yet because of it. It's just so very sad.

I hope you all stay safe!

Prayers for your family, friend. I'm terribly sorry.

Morning everyone,
Dismal and raining here but I'll take it. The havoc of hurricanes in the Caribbean and the US is an immense tragedy. We may live with rain every day but grateful we are not in dangerous weather.
Prayers for all.

Had a nice day out shopping on Friday. Halloween is making it's debut across our town now. good bye summer indeed.
Off to work , have a great day.

Hi FS!! So good to see you and know what's going on! See you later, Summer is RIGHT! Hope you have a great day!

Morning all,
Pretty much the same as Festive :) rain and wind here this morning, its dismal and cold but weirdly quite nice being cuddled up inside. Just me and the smallest person are up and chilling out watching videos :)
Halloween has hit some of our shops so far so have the kids deciding what they want to dress as now so I can get in there quickly. No doubt we will be trick or treating again this year :) provided the weather isnt too bad

Hope all those affected by the hurricanes are ok and safe. My friend is in Orlando at the minute and so far seems to be ok but hoping to hear from her in the next few hours.

Stay safe and have a good day!
x

Enjoy your videos and curling up!! Sounds lovely. Have a great day Skippy!

Great news, Crown!! Looking forward to another MD coming up sooner rather than later! Have a great day!

Bradmac, prayers and thoughts for you in such a chaotic and sad time. We're here to support you as we can. So sorry for your loss. Will continue to be mindful of your family in the coming days and weeks. Stay safe.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It has been a hectic weekend here. Late game Friday night, gave the ACT test on Saturday morning, and took the girls to the playground and to eat pizza yesterday afternoon. Upon putting them to bed last night, I laid down with one of them to talk them to sleep and I woke up at 3:00 a.m.

Want everyone to know that I'm praying for them with Irma. Stay safe!

My Christmas calendar has an event on it for today. I'm supposed to clean out the garage so that I can get lights out in a couple of weeks to start testing them. Terrible planning on my part! NFL opens today, that is probably all I am going to do today! Have a good one!

Hey GW! Good to see you! What an awesome wall of fall! Hoping you all stay safe and don't have too much trouble.

The meatballs and sauce sound delicious, not to mention the finished ziti!! Yum! I'm doing errands with ya today. Hope you make it to the craft fair! Sounds fun. Enjoy your day either way!!

Gorgeous fall weather and football on the TV--always a sure sign it's my favorite time of year. :) Have a great one Edge!

Hi everyone! Just doing errands and going to church today. Our fall decor is out and I'm loving it! Burned a delicious mulled cider candle last night and our apartment smells heavenly. Thinking of all the folks in Irma's path and praying you stay safe and your loved ones do, too. I got to see my college friends yesterday which was SO much fun! Today will be playing catch up and trying to relax a bit before working a 6 day week coming up. Have a good one, y'all!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Brisk and sunny here, with a brilliant blue sky ... it's hard to believe that a hurricane is raging farther south. My heart goes out to anyone who lives in Florida.

Getting some laundry done here and continuing to work on a Christmas video project. Later I hope there will be time for crochet, tea, and relaxation ... we have a heavy week ahead of us where I work.

Happy Sunday! I am just having coffee and relaxing. I need to run to the grocery store later and my husband is going to make wings for the football games today. Hope you all have a great day!
Keeping everyone in Irma's path in my prayers.
