Good Morning, MMC!! Well I'm back from the reunion and completely wore out. Lol!!! We packed a lot into 4 days. Back to reality today though. Need to get laundry going and the fridge is empty. So I better run to the grocery store too. Then hopefully I can get back here to catch up some. I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Good morning Christmasstar. Yeah, it was a bit early, but then I had gotten up at 3AM and when you get close to that "Senior Citizen" age, 17+ hours is enough for one day... lol.

Not much going on today. Just work. I have a "Forgotten roast" in the crock pot for supper. Need to decide if I'm going to make pot roast or beef & noodles. HUGE decision. Ha ha!

I got a couple fall decs up last night, but I haven't hauled the boxes down from the attic yet. Maybe tonight.

Good morning Holiday. I have to ask, when you do beef and noodles, do you use the thin or thick noodles? and is it a gravy topping or more of a soup like base? Not trying to be nosy, just always interested in how other cooks prepare some of the same dishes I make from time to time.
At any rate, good to hear from you, glad you had a nice "Lake Time" this weekend and enjoy the day and rest of this wonderful week...

I picked up a couple of Christmas decorations, of course There's another big craft fair coming up in two weeks, can't wait to go that one. Love this time of the year!
By the way I saw the picture you posted, the mums are gorgeous!

How fun!!!! We will head to the pumpkin patch/farmers market one of these upcoming weekends.

wow, bed time almost already !

My poor Penny is freaking out about something and I have no idea what it is. She crawled on my lap with all her fur standing up and a tail twice its normal size. i looked out the window and could not see anything going on. She has settled down now. Would really like to know what it was.

We have had a beautiful day here. praying for all those in the path of irma.

the remaining parts of IRMA now running around here in TN. Pretty blustery and watching it all from my office window here at work, and dreading have to drive in it when i get off at 1 am

AYe, made it home safely and it was odd even at that time i pass a few cars. However last night even on I24 not one car or truck on either side of the roads.

Glad to hear you made it home safe. Sounds a little eerie!!

Morning! Today we expect a high of 83 with a mixture of clouds and sun. Finally a day above average in September. Haven't had many of those yet this year. Should be nice though. Anyway, Rollins and I slept well last night. We were tired after a busy weekend and a fast but busy Monday at work. How's everyone doing this week so far? My mom took a pic of a Christmas tree out in a store yesterday. I can't believe it's that time again. I love the Bers. Have a great Tuesday!

We are supposed to have a high of 75 today - 67 tomorrow with rain!
Speaking of sleeping good - Little Lucy slept straight through the night for the 1st time last night. Yay Lucy!!!

The 100-day Christmas Day Window is the point in question and its distance, just FOUR days away.
That's barely over HALF A WEEK off.
(Put that in your Christmas pudding and stir it!)


Cool, breezy and a bit rainy here yesterday and today as the remains of Irma pass by to our southwest.
Tomorrow should see a return to normal conditions.
We currently are at 63 degrees here in the wet capital city and it looks like it could start raining again at any time.

Happy Tuesday!
It's going to be partly cloudy and warm today, highs near 80 degrees. I'm just about ready to get started on my daily chores, after I finish my cup of coffee. My middle one is off today so we're going to grab Chipotle for lunch. Maybe hang out by the pool this afternoon. That's about it. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Enjoy the day with your daughter. Sounds like a good one! Pool days are getting numbered ~ enjoy to the fullest!

Thank you! The picture doesn't do the mum justice, it's hugungus!!! LOL!! My summer flowers are still blooming I'm having a hard time finding a spot for it, but I'll figure something out!

Happy Tuesday!! Looks like it will be a beautiful day. I should have played hooky and went to the beach!! My daughter's team won last night 1-0. It was a good game. Tonight I am making tacos and catching up on laundry. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning CGY! You're not being nosey! For this roast recipe I put the roast in the crock pot, sprinkled it with onion soup mix, & then spooned a can of cream of mushroom over the top & added a little water, so it will have a gravy. When Emma made it the other week, she used a thick noodle. I think all I have at home are thin noodles. Emma baked it in the oven & then took the roast out & used the same pan to cook the noodles. It was amazing! I may save some of the drippings to make more gravy, depending on what it looks like! YUM!

I just got a new recipe over the weekend. Our neighbors friend made this a couple weeks ago & it was SO delicious! I was surprised to see how many pecans were in it. She must have had them ground up really well. I'm not always a nut in my bread person. Ha ha!

Pumpkin Praline Bread
1 - 14 ounce package pumpkin quick bread
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs
1 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

TOPPING
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon butter softened

350 oven
Combine all the bread ingredients mix just until combined pour into greased pan (2 small or one regular size bread pan) add topping and bake 20 to 30 minutes.

* at this time of year (fall) I stock up on quick bread and use Aldi's brand it's just as good.

Good morning MMC. The morning has gone by well. Bible study was great, got the newly planted grass area leveled a bit more (makes it easier to mow when the grass sprouts), watered it and got a few more pavers in what may become the fire pit area of the backyard. Every little bit helps. Now to get a few other little item,s taken care of and then down for a few hours prior to this evening's first shift.
