Is anybody ready for another Monday? I'd like another couple hours of sleep, please ...

It's been soo-oo muggy here for several days---hoping the humidity will ease up when the storm comes through tomorrow and Wednesday. We're expecting wind and rain from Jose, but nothing near hurricane force---just a blustery storm.

I am ready for the week. I closed the pool down finally yesterday. So that mentally kicks off the "fall" season for me. Two more high school soccer games this week (one today.) Quite a bit of rain in the forecast this week.

Good morning MMC!! It's a dreary/rainy 'ol Monday!! How fitting! My hubby got a call this morning that he could have the day off if he wanted - well guess who has the day off. Lucky duck! Lucy was so cute this morning - I could have easily stayed home & cuddled with her. LOL! Ah well...

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! We had a nice time at the lake. The tailgate, food, wings, company were all fun on Saturday AND the Bucks won. Yay!! We got out on the lake yesterday - what a beautiful day!!

Good Morning MMC...happy Monday and we into double digits!! Looks like today should be a good day but we are under a Tropical Storm Watch, looks like we will have remnants of Hurricane Jose from Tuesday into Wednesday. As long as we don't lose power I will be fine with it. Today is work for me, my daughter has a soccer game so I will go to that and then my husband and I have to go to a wake tonight for a friend's mom that passed away from pancreatic cancer. Hope you all have a great start to the week!

Good Morning SnowflakeMom. Here's hoping that all you get from those remnants is a nice little shower for the garden. Speaking of which, we got some liquid sunshine that began around 6AM, so it looks like a day in the garage instead of in the yard. The good thing is that it should pass by the afternoon, which means the BBQ is still on. Okay, yes, I would have grilled in the rain anyway, but this is better.

Happy Monday!
It's going to be mostly cloudy today with a high if 74 degrees. A tropical storm watch has been issued for Long Island. Jose is expected to pass by Tuesday in to Wednesday, hopefully it won't make landfall. Not too much going on here today. I have a chiropractor appointment in a little while. I'm going to run to Michael's afterward. I bought Fall leaves garlands to put around my front door yesterday and I was a little bit short so I need to grab another. I'm going to pick up a couple of mums as well and then I'll be finished decorating the front of the house. I need to get dinner in to the crock pot right now, I'm making the Pioneer Woman's Chicken Tortilla Soup

Hi there HMG. My same wishes for the ending of Jose that I shared with SFM. I trust your chiropractor appt will go well also and of course have fun with the finishing touches on your Fall decor. Speaking of the Pioneer Woman, I bought the first issue of her new magazine, hoping it was filled with recipes, but the majority of it was either clothing tips (including what boots to wear) or home decorating. Oh well, I'm sure my wife enjoyed it... lol. Have a great day and a wonderful dinner...

Morning Holiday. Well since he got the day off, is he going to at least surprise you with dinner? Glad you had a good time at the lake and that it was capped by a Buckeye win. Enjoy your day and I'm certain Lucy will be more than a handful when you make your entrance back home.

Howdy Sinatra. Yes, just a couple more days till the official start. Here though, it is suppose to be in the mid 80's on that day. But this looks like the last week of "Summer" style temps. Long range says low to mid 60's beginning with next Saturday. Should be enough time for the new grass to take hold. Have another cup of Joe and a great day...

Thanks, Holiday! It should be fun. Kim and I have a 10km race to run on Sunday morning, so aside from final weekend wedding preparations, we also have to prepare for that!

Good morning all! Well the chocolates and mince pies have started making their way onto the shelves in my local supermarket! I've heard people walk past them saying how it's only September and far too early to be out on the shelves.....I have to laugh that I feel the exact opposite!

The girls have been thinking about their Christmas lists, Halloween costumes and asking if we can stay at home this year and let off fireworks on bonfire night. They really take after me planning everything for the season! I love it!!!

Good Saturday morning! Finally it's the weekend! Glorious Summer weather continuing for us and it should remain sunny and warm until next Friday. After taking Loki to the dog park and doing some chores, we will probably go to the movies to see It. I refuse to watch horror movies anymore (for my peace of mind) but I will see this one for my husband (with my eyes covered often I'm sure). Have a wonderful day everyone!

Happy Milestone to everyone! Wow 100 days!! Can't believe it!

Just a quick check in as I am rushing off to work soon. I will reply to posts tonight or morning.

@Holiday thank you for thinking of us. We are fine on this end and friends close to area are all okay too. I don't even have words anymore The city centres are inundated with uniformed officers and military on patrol. Hard to put at back of your mind but life has to go on.

Good Sunday morning! I awoke at 5am but managed to fall back asleep and stay in bed until 7am. I can tell this day is going to be a real scorcher, it's already 24°C/75°F with the humidity and it should reach 33°C/91°F by midday. Getting laundry out of the way early so it can hang outside to dry and then we have to go grocery shopping.

I have to say that It was a good movie, as long as I closed my eyes during the scary/intense parts. The test for me was if i would be able to sleep last night and I did, with no Pennywise the clown dreams. No movie on deck today but surely continuing to watch Homeland season 6 in our air conditionned bedroom after our errands are done. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Glorious day, yesterday. Hobby Lobby and pizza, just like we planned. Then....

Both little ones woke up about 3:00 a.m. terribly sick. Their Mom followed about an hour later....

I've got a fever and I'm fighting, so say a prayer or two for us....

Oh no! I hope you are all feeling better by now! xx

Hard to believe that a year ago today, I married my best friend, companion and soul mate. The time has really flied, much like the Christmas season does every year. We've had our good times and bad times, but we've gone through them as a team. There is no one else I would want to have gone through them with. One year down, forever to go.

Merry Christmas everyone!
