Christmas Countdown - 2017

[Holiday]

Good Monday Morning to the MMC community. Been away for a few days, a few very busy days, but sometimes being busy does have it's own advantages. Today is my second day off and will spend some time in the yard and hopefully a little bit of time in the garage (it really needs the time).
Other than that and a few minor errands, not too much. It will be another nice BBQ night, but a simple one with burgers, dogs and brats. Also making some fresh bread, potato salad and pasta salad. That should be enough for the day.
Down into the two-digit midget time frame for everything now (except Fall which is only 3 days away). I absolutely love it!!! I have decided to add another little item for the yard this Halloween...

It should go well with the other "Kid Friendly" yard items. For the next couple of hours, it is time for coffee, breakfast and some Bible study.

Morning MMC! Today we expect a high of 74 under cloudy skies and the chance of a shower. Looks like this week will feel more like summer than Autumn as next weekend they are predicting highs in the low 80s and sunshine. Anyway, that's far off right now as it's Monday...and of course Rollins didn't want to get up this morning but on the weekend when we can sleep a little longer he's up and wants to get going. Funny how that works. Hope everyone has a great Monday today! Last one of summer!

Good Morning MMC...happy Monday and we into double digits!! Looks like today should be a good day but we are under a Tropical Storm Watch, looks like we will have remnants of Hurricane Jose from Tuesday into Wednesday. As long as we don't lose power I will be fine with it. Today is work for me, my daughter has a soccer game so I will go to that and then my husband and I have to go to a wake tonight for a friend's mom that passed away from pancreatic cancer. Hope you all have a great start to the week!

Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
It's going to be mostly cloudy today with a high if 74 degrees. A tropical storm watch has been issued for Long Island. Jose is expected to pass by Tuesday in to Wednesday, hopefully it won't make landfall. Not too much going on here today. I have a chiropractor appointment in a little while. I'm going to run to Michael's afterward. I bought Fall leaves garlands to put around my front door yesterday and I was a little bit short so I need to grab another. I'm going to pick up a couple of mums as well and then I'll be finished decorating the front of the house. I need to get dinner in to the crock pot right now, I'm making the Pioneer Woman's Chicken Tortilla Soup

Is anybody ready for another Monday? I'd like another couple hours of sleep, please ...

It's been soo-oo muggy here for several days---hoping the humidity will ease up when the storm comes through tomorrow and Wednesday. We're expecting wind and rain from Jose, but nothing near hurricane force---just a blustery storm.

I am ready for the week. I closed the pool down finally yesterday. So that mentally kicks off the "fall" season for me. Two more high school soccer games this week (one today.) Quite a bit of rain in the forecast this week.

Seems like everyone was JUST opening their pools for the season.

Good Monday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I had a LONG weekend in the yard, cleaning up behind Irma. I have scratches all over me from all those limbs, even a bad one from the top of my forehead, across my eye, and down my cheek. I look like a tough guy with an awesome scar LOL!

How is it that it's Monday already? I either need a nap or more coffee and since I am on my work lunch break a nap isn't happening so more coffee it is! I just loved walking into Walmart over the weekend and seeing all those boxes of Christmas trees in the lawn and garden area. Have a great day

We spent the weekend at Gardner Webb University for parents weekend with our son, his fiance', and her parents. It was a good time. Hard to believe he is a senior and it was our last parents weekend.

This will be a year of "lasts". Our last Thanksgiving and Christmas with him home. My last year of work. The wedding is June 23 and my last day of work in June 29. A bitter sweat year. Doesn't seem fair that you work all the while they are young and retire just as they move out.

Now on to the best time of year. Have a blessed day.

Hard to believe that a year ago today, I married my best friend, companion and soul mate. The time has really flied, much like the Christmas season does every year. We've had our good times and bad times, but we've gone through them as a team. There is no one else I would want to have gone through them with. One year down, forever to go.

This time of year, every Monday feels like a milestone to me. A week closer to the holidays that aren't that many weeks away now.

Ha ha ha! Actually I went home at lunch & grilled some sirloin burgers & threw them in a crop pot with potatoes (on the bottom) cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms, & onion. YUM!

Sounds like you had a great weekend. And you have so much to look forward too! So many exciting times ahead, though I can understand your feeling it's bittersweet! Hopefully your son & future daughter in law will live close to you! xx
