Christmas Countdown - 2017

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

We had to go shopping for a new dishwasher this morning ... while we were at Sears, I noticed a section of Christmas trees, ornaments, and holiday toys nearby, so we had to walk through. We bought a dancing Snoopy in a Santa hat, holding Woodstock nestled in a stocking, for a friend of ours who loves Peanuts. Took some of the sting out of the cost of buying a major appliance!

Chilly and cloudy today, and Mr. is just starting a nasty cold. I hope I can dodge it, but I dunno.

Well, after this weekend, there will be only SIX more left until Christmas Season 2017 commences on November 13.
And in just SEVEN more days, we will be entering the NINETY PERCENT HOME STRETCH point, the final Milestone marker before the Season begins.
One week from today, Guys!
Wow.
(Let me say that again, with emphasis: WOW!!)



Well Folks, the weather just doesn't get any better than this. Rock bottom low humidity, lots of sun, gentle breezes and temps in the low 70's.
I would say it could spoil us, but that's not so because conditions like this are so rare.
(We shall certainly enjoy them while they last, of course!)
Currently, we are starting off sunny at a pleasantly cool 62 degrees here in the capital city.

Happy Saturday All...it has been a pretty relaxing day. I caught up on some laundry and went to the gym. I think we are going to have Chinese for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Well tommorow October starts, which for me is the unofficial beginning of the Holiday season. Just because looking forward, we wont reach over 75 for the rest of the year here, and stores tend to start getting in the spirit October 1st. I have a buddy who works at Walmart who tells me they will begin mixing Holiday music into their Shopping Playlist tommorow. Crazy how fast 2017 has gone, but I cant say Im sad to see it go!

Also have to get my outside decorations out of the garage this weekend. Usually put them up in mid october just so I dont have to fight the weather. Wont turn them on until Mid-November though!

Well somehow my husband had a nice plate of manicotti for dinner yet I STILL don't have any Halloween decorations in my yard! He tricked me I guess! Oh well, I will try again next weekend!

well, after that intense heat wave we now have the opposite....our first frost warning !! Yeah !! going down to 2c (35 f)
I have to say I am sure enjoying the cooler temps, makes it feel all the closer to Christmas .

Morning MMC! Happy October! October? Yeah we're really starting the month of Halloween today. I know we say this every month but I'm not sure how the last month went by so fast. I hope this month will slow down a bit so we can enjoy the month of Halloween. Today we expect a high of 66 under sunny skies. Pretty much a perfect October day. Ironically, I had a dream last night that it was May. The reason I know it was May was because a coworker said it was his anniversary at work and he started in May years ago. I wake up and May turns to October lol. Time does fly. Have a great Sunday everyone! Football today!
