Christmas Countdown - 2017

Hello, Christmas friends! Hello, October!

October!?!?!?! Can you believe it? I am pretty excited. We are 35 days away from our Christmas Tree Day! Halloween is this month and Christmas TV shows even start this month. The fact that I am about to google Halloween TV schedule is pretty exciting.

Good morning everyone. Feeling very lazy this morning, no energy at all!
This afternoon is Little League Football. We are starting our 2nd string offense today so they get some more playing time and we also play the same team next week for the tournament. That means Henry will be the starting QB today. He has played a little QB during the season, but most of his playing time has been on defense. He is really excited! We spent about an hour outside yesterday so he could practice pitches and handoffs. His idea and plan, not mine.

I have a bunch of school stuff to do today, but zero motivation to get it done. This is a messed up week for me anyway. I have to take a personal day on Tuesday so that our heating/cooling system can be repaired. There is a leak somewhere in the line and they are struggling to find it. Then on Friday I will be out of the classroom for meetings all day. That means I have to prepare for 2 subs this week. That takes more prep time than if I am just there.

Oh well, it is October, which means Christmas is sooooo close!

Of course, the reason it could be stressful is its close proximity. Just FIVE days away, now.
Yep. In a scant 5 days, we will commence the HOME STRETCH run to Christmas Season 2017, having passed the 90 percent point.
(Is it starting to seem like the year is just slipping away through our fingers, Guys?)


Our stupendous weather continues. In fact, it's almost too cool as we enter the first day of October, the second 'ber month.
But after all the heat and humidity, we will take it!
Currenty, we awaken to a rather coolish 56 degrees, here.

We have our nephews 1st birthday party later today but before then I plan on getting the inside of the house decorated for fall and Halloween. Still need to get the outside decorations down from the garage attic and before the end of this week the outside will be decorated for Halloween. Have a great day!

We just had both the boys birthday party today. Hectic all morning, I made enough food to feed a company of Marines and nobody was even hungry...arghhh!!

Good Sunday afternoon! Beautiful weather continuing here. We took Loki to the dog park this morning. A minitiature black Schnauzer who looked sooooo much like him took a bit too much of a liking to our little dog, kept following him around and Loki was having none of it. David is watching the latest Spiderman right now (I'm half watching) and I'm waiting for a load of laundry to be done. A relaxed day for us. Hope everyone is enjoying a great weekend.

Hope everyone had a great day today! Wasn't too bad here....took an unexpected nap with the little one, slept right through my Cowboys and their mess. Went outside and played a little bit and I'm in cooking and about to shower. Bambina has been asking for Halloween shows all day, so I need to find a few. We still have Toy Story of Terror from last year, but we need a few more. Any suggestions? She might be four, but this is the first time she actually knows what is coming and what it means.

the new series that started this weekend Vampirina is pretty good two episodes already plated on Disney JR. Puppy Tales has a Halloween themes episode as well hats been playing all day on Disney jr today lol. Curious George, cat in the hat knows all about that, both have good Halloween episodes. If you have Netflix search Halloween under the kids section and you will see lots of different shows and don't forget the great British cartoon Room on the Broom based on the book.

Just waking up to the news about the shooting in Vegas. I am horrified. It's heartbreaking. Thoughts and prayers to all who are affected.
I have an appointment today with my naturopathic doctor. I don't think I have any errands to run so I'll just be working on the laundry. I'm going to make a big pot of chicken soup for dinner, I want some comfort food. It's chilly out this morning, we're currently at 48 degrees but it will warm up to 72.

Good Morning, MMC!!! I'm so over sick nieces , doctors appointments, the moving drama, and other drama going on here. I've put almost 900 miles on the car in the last 2 weeks running between here, my nieces schools, and my sisters house. I just want a day to get caught up!! Okay, enough whining. Lol!! The town my sister moved to is having their fall festival this weekend. So I'll be checking it out when I take my nieces home tomorrow. Then next weekend is the big one here in town. I can't wait for all of that deep fried goodness!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Morning MMC! It's going to be perfect today with a high of 72 under sunny skies. You can't ask for much more of a nicer day at any time of the year. The weekend was good and Sunday I was actually bored which was nice for a change actually. I am ready for a 5 day work week. It's a new month so it's my busiest week which is a good thing. Anyone watching any good Halloween shows? I saw some nice decorations out this weekend. Looks like we're at that time of year again. Have a great Monday!

You’re so right HMG, what occurred in Vegas is heartbreaking. Besides the deceased and wounded, how many others lives have been affected by this? I’m beyond sad. Prayers up for all.
I hope all goes well for you at the doctors.
