Morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! Halloween is fast approaching isn't it? This week is the week that it hits me how the holidays are all coming. It's going to all hit us hard and fast. There's no way to avoid it the next 10 weeks are going to be amazing and the best we wait all year for. For now I'm going to come home tonight and turn a few Halloween shows on. I've been slacking with that the last week. Have a great day today!

Off to london with LittleCS today for her appointment with doctor
Other than that not much planned. Still have to work on those aprons
Need to get started on the cake for the competition next month.

Happy Thursday!
Not too much going on here today. I feel like I'm coming down with a cold so I'm going to take it easy all day. I'll just be working on the laundry and I'm going to make beef stew for dinner.

Good Morning, Holidayites!
Yep. The holidays are rapidly approaching.
Not only Christmas and the Christmas Season, but Halloween and Thanksgviving as well.
And thus, it's about at this time that Halloween is added to our countdown!
Days to Halloween: 19 (Less than three weeks!)
Days to the Season: 32 (One month from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 74 (Nearly down to 10 1/2 weeks!)
(The year is just racing by, Folks!)
Well, we had another day of fairly oppressive heat yesterday, before an evening thunderstorm cooled things down a bit, with 2 1/3 inches of rain.
Today should be about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday was and hopefully, the humidity will also begin a decline.
Our thermometer reads just under 75 degrees here at this hour and it is again rather overcast..

My oldest daughter's soccer team won yesterday so that put them #1 in their conference and ranked #2 in the state.
Not too much going on today just my usual work and I am getting my hair done tonight so I think pizza will be on the menu tonight!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! Another dreary & much cooler day today! I'm working today, off work tomorrow for the funeral. At lunch I need to run our "gifts" to the funeral home. Our group of friends are planning to go to the viewing before mass tomorrow & then the mass - we can do it all in 1 day rather than going to the viewing tonight & then the mass tomorrow. Jim won't be done working until late tonight, so this works better for us anyway. So, so sad!
Tonight I'm baking a Swiss Roll Cake for our friends birthday celebration this weekend. Kind of a busy day.
Emma's pre-wedding celebration was really nice last night. I would guess about 70 of her "English friends" were there! They had Cherry Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Cream Pie & Pecan Pie - 76 pies total! YUM-O! Those girls can bake! They also had homemade elephant ears & snacks. Very nice. I'm very happy for her. The church part of her wedding should be under way now!

Good Thursday morning everyone. My weekend starts early. This afternoon several men from church and I will leave for a 3 day hike into the wilderness area of the Great Smoky Mountains national park. We'll take a boat across Fontana Lake (a large lake bordering the national park) then hike 6 miles to our campsite. Looking forward to 3 days of Bible study, fly fishing, and hiking. The area we are staying (Hazel Creek for those familiar with the GMS national park) is know for trout, bears and wild boar. No electricity, phone, internet, sleeping in a hammock tied between 2 trees. Should be a great time.
