I'm just back from a month in Canada so getting settled back in. Jet lag has me goosed lol.

Greetings SnowflakeMom. Congrats to your daughter and her team on their success thus far in the season. Pizza sounds inviting and simple. We are doing simple tonight as well. Cream of Tomato and grilled cheese sandwiches. Been awhile for both of those for me.
Indeed October is picking up speed, but there are those who love to sing of it's arrival. Like these happy fellows...

Happy Friday eve .. however today is my Friday, Looking forward to a 3 day weekend. Its our anniversary weekend so we are going to take care of the house cleaning and errands tomorrow so we can enjoy our weekend Maybe get in some Christmas shopping too. Its Damp and over cast today but oh so much cooler temps in the low to mid 60s and I am absolutely loving it. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello Everyone!

It's Noodle, I'm back. I had meant to start posting sooner but for one reason or another just couldn't get around to it until now. It's so crazy how two weeks can just fly by. I can't believe we are already in mid-October. Maybe that's what finally prompted me to get back on the forum.

Anyways, I'm glad to be back in the season. Glad to see all of you still on here, and some new members as well. I'm definitely looking forward to sharing the rest of the season here with all my fellow MMCers!

Our neighbor brought their RV home from its Summer spot, last weekend. A sure sign that the season has absitively closed.

The weather has been so nice/warm it just doesn't seem right!!!

I'm just getting back from the golf tournament in Alabama. It was hot and humid, but we had a great time. My team won! I didn't really contribute much; the other three guys were awesome!

Good Thursday morning everyone. My weekend starts early. This afternoon several men from church and I will leave for a 3 day hike into the wilderness area of the Great Smoky Mountains national park. We'll take a boat across Fontana Lake (a large lake bordering the national park) then hike 6 miles to our campsite. Looking forward to 3 days of Bible study, fly fishing, and hiking. The area we are staying (Hazel Creek for those familiar with the GMS national park) is know for trout, bears and wild boar. No electricity, phone, internet, sleeping in a hammock tied between 2 trees. Should be a great time.

Years ago we used to do a Archery golf shoot. They supplied these old yellow fiberglass longbows and arrows and you shot a round of golf with em. Everybody had to collect donations beforehand and at the end of the course they setup a dunk tank with important people from the area. You got 1 shot at the bullseye. I dont remember what the donations benefited atm...but we raised some serious cash for it. There was honestly 300 Marines alone doing the benefit over the weekend,plus all the civilians that participated.

Yes I had a great time. First time I'd seen my sister in three years. Weather was lovely and dry which is a big change for me lol

Creeping Christmas report: Super market now carrying Clementines. In other news - my skin is now curiously turning orange. *burp*
