So this morning on the Megyn Kelly show, they are COMPLAINING about Hallmark starting Christmas movies before Halloween! "Can't we just have Halloween?" Bah Humbugs!!!
Nobody says she has to watch!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I went with Nancy to take her sister for surgery yesterday. It went well, and we were home by lunch, but getting to Savannah by 6 am is tough! I'm an early riser, but I like to watch TV and sip my coffee first LOL.

The fair is in nearby Statesboro this week, and Elizabeth's dance studio was walking in the fair parade yesterday afternoon, so I went with her to the 'Boro after I got back from Savannah. The fair is a big deal over there, and all the schools shut down for the week...no kidding.

Tomorrow my niece will be born! They are supposed to start induction (?) tonight on Jim's wife, so I'll be away tomorrow, too.

Happy Tuesday!
It's going to be sunny today with highs near 58. We're currently at 42 degrees, I woke up around 4:00am and decided to turn the heat on for a little while to take the chill out of the house. Not too much planned for today. I have to do some food shopping this morning. My middle one has off, we're going to take a ride to a local lake later this afternoon to take a walk. Dinner will be tacos and bean & cheese enchiladas. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm in the library for the first little bit this morning. It really brings back recent memories of April to June, when I spent the last quarter of the school year in here. I haven't been back since, but it's nice to come in and joke around with the students while they're "working."

The rest of the day should be pretty easy. I have a Phys. Ed. class followed by two Drama classes. Fun! It's yet another chilly morning in Canada's Capital. Temperatures are currently around 5c/41f or 2c/36f with windchill. It looks like we'll reach the mid teens/upper 50s today but the wind will likely make it feel much cooler.

It's difficult to fathom that two weeks from today is Halloween... so difficult that I had to look at my calendar and then Crown's trusty count. Yep. All those little ghouls will be traveling the streets for Tricks and Treats in 14 days. Then, we can all celebrate by turning the calendar into our (second) favourite month of the year!

I'd like to say there isn't much happening after school today, but that is likely incorrect. I have to do a hard/fast running workout and then play dodgeball this evening. Maybe I'll get to rest tomorrow? I think Friday is more likely though...

Well, have a great Tuesday, everyone! We're nearing the middle of the workweek. Let's hope today flies by!

Oh, me too! I think we have tacos about once a month and I never get sick of them. They're so easy to make and always give me plenty of extra meals for both lunch and dinner!

Good morning Brent. So does all that mean your day will be busy or not? lol. I think it is great when the day has a few breaks within the time frame of busy. I agree with the holidays getting here so quickly. Especially if you decorate for all of them. Halloween is up now, but on 1 Nov, it comes down for Thanksgiving, which gives way to the Christmas decorations on the 24th. Sometimes it seems like there is not enough time to really enjoy them. Oh well, that would not make me stop doing it.
Have a fun rest of the week and enjoy your Dodgeball competition. I could not move fast enough for it at my age...

Good evening

so today i had to leave my job as i can no longer physically do it. As most of you know i have been battling an arm injury for a couple of years now and it is not getting better. Doctor says that staying where I am will only cause further injury. So am looking into early retirement 4 years before I expected to.
Of course that may not be all bad as I will be able to pursue some of my favorite activities instead.
Will see what happens.

Just making some dinner for tomorrow before bed. The beef may have expired tomorrow if I didn't cook it tonight. I'm tired, but I can't throw away $20 of beef! Oh, and the opportunity to eat tacos over the next few nights. Mmmmm!

Simon actually had an OK visit to the vet today. He was hard to settle down from time-to-time, but the vet let The Big Guy do his thing. With some added incentives (treats), Simon actually took his needle very well. It was just a regular checkup, so he'll have one more shot next year and then nothing the following year.

Well, I should get back to these tacos. I'm really hoping I am out of this kitchen by 10! Have a great evening, everyone! I hope you've all spotted some Christmas in your area and share it in the Blossoms thread!

Morning MMC! The 1st chill of the season his here. Woke up to 36 degrees. It hit me pretty hard after this first warm month of Autumn we've had. It won't last long as Wednesday through Monday we expect highs 70-75 with mostly sunny skies. Will enjoy it after this colder morning but really it's not all that bad as in January we'd think this is warm. Back to work for me after a really good, relaxing and fun 3 day weekend. Have a great day!

I like my sugar cookies to be soft and not like a chocolate chip cookie. I might play with that recipe and add vanilla and try overworking the dough. The orange cookies came out exactly how I like the sugar cookie.

Yum...those sugar cookie sound so good. I like them soft too.

Good morning SnowflakeMom. At the moment I am saving on both A/C and heat.
Not certain what is in between the outside and inside walls, but the guy building it (it was his home first) obviously did a job when it came to insulation. With a high in the mid 70's today, I may even open up the windows for some of that fresh air to circulate. Looks like a week of mid to upper 70's, so I might as well make good use of it. Have fun with the games tonight. Looks like the aerobic portion of your workout is already there... lol

A very happy Tuesday to the MMC community. Busy weekend that now becomes a busy week. But I did get up early, got to my weekly Bible study, raked leaves in the front yard and now I will head down to the Hallmark store. They called yesterday to say an ornament I purchased is now in, along with the North Pole 1820 Communicator Cartridge for 2017. That and a quick stop by the Zoo will take care of my morning activities before getting ready to catch a few winks and prepare for another set of shifts.
Today is my daughter Amber's birthday, but she will be gone most of the day and so we had her "Favorite" dinner from Azteca's last night. She thinks that is all, but Connie and I will still have her birthday presents waiting for her when she gets home this evening.
Halloween is almost on us. Everyone got their candy ready to go?

Good midday Tuesday! Woke up early to spend time with my husband before he left for work but fell back asleep for about an hour. I had a weird dream which was a cross between closing time at work and Game of Thrones. It was so chilly this morning that it felt good to be under the covers. I did some laundry this morning and finalized the invitations for our work Christmas party and uploaded them to be printed. Now time for some leftover soup to warm me up a bit. I refuse to turn on the heat yet. Have a great day everyone!
