Christmas Countdown - 2017

Afternoon all!! Its been a busy day today trying to get info on a new diorama I have in the works. My boys love to watch Masha and the Bear, and I needed a new diorama for next years IPMS show. I decided to do the beat up van from the cartoon. Its a Russian made toon so it came to mind it was probably a van from the mid 80's they used as a copy. Research indicates Russia has 100's of their own vans plus U.S. built. Sent a email to the company that produces the cartoon there hoping somebody can help.
If anybody recognizes this van give me a shout.

The search is over. Its a Russian UAZ-452 ambulance..now unfortunately the only 2 manufacturers of the models are out of stock.--- it never ends

Hello everyone! A nice fall day here and I have a crock pot of potato soup with cheese and crumbled bacon ready for dinner! Good weather for a hot bowl of soup. I was at Hobby Lobby today and realized I could spend way too much time browsing in their Christmas aisles!! They had a 40% off sale too so of course I had to shop a bit! Then when I went to pay I had a gift card I received for Hobby Lobby last Christmas and I told the cashier "I'm not sure how much is left on this", turns out, I had NEVER used it all year and it was full! That made my day!

Doing my fall cleaning and rearranging of the living room for the up coming Christmas tree placement. This is a very exciting event here !!

Merry Friday!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs near 72 degrees. I'm just having my coffee and working on a grocery list right now. I think I'll go for an early morning walk after I finish cooking breakfast for everyone. Not too much planned for today, I just need to run to the pet store to pick up a few things. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house. We're going to grill steaks for dinner and I'll make roasted potatoes & a tossed salad as well. Big Yankee game tonight too!

Morning MMC! TGIF to one and all! Love Fridays but this time of year is even more fun knowing we're so close to the big 3 holidays. Looks like it's going to be another beautiful weekend ahead before we get some rain and cooler temps next week. Friday night should be relaxing, Saturday errands, Sunday my Uncle's for dinner. Should be a good combination and also getting some more ideas for Christmas gifts. It's coming so fast. Have a great Friday!

Days to the Season: 24 (Under 3 1/2 weeks left to go!)

Real nice weather indeed for mid October with calm, sunny days, cool nights, no rain and very low humidity.
I could get REAL used to this.......but I dare not!
This morning has commenced here in central North Carolina with a temperature reading of 48 degrees.

Good morning MMC!! Happy, HAPPY Friday!!!! TGIF!!! What a beautiful morning! I'm asking myself why I'm inside sitting in front of a computer & not outside on a walk w/ a nice hot cup of java! Oh ya, something about a pay check!

It's supposed to be such a nice warm day, our back yard neighbor is having Friday Funday this afternoon on their patio! It's been awhile since we've had one of those! Looking forward to it! I'll be heading to the lake tonight - our second last weekend! So hard to believe! And we haven't even turned on the furnace yet. Crazy! BUT we have a high of 76 & sunshine predicted for today & by Wed the predicted high is 49 with rain! What a shock to the system!


I so enjoyed watching the Great Pumpkin & Toy Story last night. SO FUN! Wish I could turn back the clock to 8:00 last night!

Good Friday morning! A glorious blue sky and bright sunlight to start the day and though it's a bit cool right now, temperatures will be going up into the 20s/70s for the next few days. Currently doing laundry and watching the first major figure skating competition of the season. Have a fantastic day everyone!
