Good Saturday afternoon! Another absolutely beautiful day here. All the windows in the appartment are wide open, we're taking all this fresh, warm air. Later we'll take Loki to the dog park. Have to mention that last night, when I went to pick up David at his friends' place, I saw a lit Christmas tree through a living room patio door. Never expected that and it brought a smile to my face. Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful day.

Morning MMC! Hope you all are having a good weekend. Mine is and today we're going to my Uncle's for the evening so that's our once a month meeting we started this year. It's always fun with a good meal and dessert. Other than that trying to enjoy the mild weather before it gets cooler (but not that bad by the looks of the forecast ahead). I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Good Morning, Folks.

Rise, shine, have that cup of tea (no cough-ee!) munch on that take-out fired twinkie you got from Carl on Wednesday, and read today's exciting count numbers!

Days to Halloween: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!!)
Days to the Season: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 64 (Two months and three days to go!)

(We march in lock-step toward yet another holiday season, Folks!)

Well, we had wonderful weather for the State Fair yesterday. Plenty of sunshine, not a cloud in the sky, temperatures in the 70's and not much humidity to speak of.
(In fact, weather wise, it was one of the most enjoyable fairs we have been to.)
We have started off this second day of the weekend at 56 sunny degrees here in the capital city of Panther country.

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone.
And a Fun-Filled Football day, as well!

Have a great Sunday, Crown! The count is looking wonderful. Halloween is so close!

Thxs Crown! The fair is always a good time. Did you have any good eats there?

Oh, yes. That's my favorite part of going!
A disappointment, though. There were no Christmas displays this time. In years past, there have been and I've been able to take pictures for the Blossoms thread.

Thanks Crown! Single Digits to Halloween!

We've been experiencing some glorious summer-like weather in these parts. The Ash tree outside the dining room window still has it's leaves and only beginning to thin out a bit while the old yellow birch and alder trees in the back along the creek are nearly all gone.

Went shopping yesterday and this morning and found myself breezing through and pausing in the Christmas aisles just for the fun of it. I started some of my Christmas shopping for the youngest grandchildren yesterday.

Both of my older grandsons will be in new homes for Christmas this year - leaving the security of their dad's nest is a mix of joy and sadness; they've always been very close. I'm going to be getting them both different Christmas wreaths for their doors based on colours and other preferences. Haven't found the right ones yet.

There will be a series of craft shows soon and if I don't find what I want there's always Mayfair and Michaels. Jesse is bringing his 7 year old dog, Bubba with him so the young granddaughters are each getting a fluffy puppy from me that resembles his bulldog & boxer appearance. Both boys are only about 3-4 blocks from their dad's and down the street from each other so I know they'll be over to visit and keep in touch often.

Not sure if we're going to visit them for Christmas, but I'm keeping the option open based on weather. Just spent 3 days with them and it was a good visit.

Keep a merry thought in your head! -surprise-

Good evening everyone! This is our last day of warm weather hopefully and then it looks like our temps will drop all this week! I am very happy about that as I prefer cold weather. I am one of the weird ones that loves daylight savings time when we fall back. I love when it gets dark at 5:00pm! (Another reason I like it is because the clock in my car will finally be right...for at least 6 months! It is such a pain to change it so I usually just suffer for 6 months and then when we fall back it is correct again! I'm so lazy!)

Good Monday morning! Back to work for me. And then in 2 weeks I will have another week's vacation (I tried to put them together but our management team is incomplete, so only one of us can be on vacation at one time). Have a great start to the week everyone!

Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with a high of 71 degrees. I have a chiropractor appointment this morning. I’ll be going for a walk afterward. Then I will be working on the laundry. Dinner will be chicken tortilla soup. I guess that’s about it for me.
Can’t believe Thanksgiving is only one month away. My daughters birthday is on Thanksgiving Day this year so it will be extra special. And Halloween is one week from tomorrow. So exciting. My daughter carved our first jack o lantern last night :)
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Morning MMC! Happy Monday! It's the last week before Halloween. Can you believe it? I've been enjoying a lot of the decorations out. Funny thing is in the stores they have all the Halloween stuff on sale already and all the Christmas stuff is out in full force. Pretty amazing that we're almost there. Have a great 1st day of the week!

Good Morning MMC !!

Monday morning already, and the last full week of October. Time is not marching, it is running !!!

have to take van in to get ball joint replaced. This poor old van of mine has to make it through one more winter and then it can retire in the spring.

My next few weeks will be taken up with creating gingerbread house and cakes for the competitions at end of November and beginning of December.

Our church is now on the list for doing community meals and our first is this Thursday. Expecting about 100 people to come. Our city has a list of organizations and churches that do this and as a result folks in need of nourishment or company can get a hot meal and companionship at least 4 times a week.

LittleCS moves next week so still have some packing to do there. I am always amazed at how much stuff we can accumulate that we end up never using. We had the same when we moved. so she has given away, sold or thrown out quite a bit. I told her it would make her new place seem so much bigger ! LOL

Have a great day everyone !!!
