Crikey we're getting close... if i didn't have so much to do at work, i'd just play games all day.

Regarding Thanksgiving - my mrs and i have decided to have a mini Thanksgiving - even though we're not American. All this talk of pumpkin pies and other sorts of things has done it. You're all to blame :-D

Am thinking of doing something like a Ham, or even a Kefalonian Meat Pie (amazing) - and either sweet-potato-pie, pumpkin, or a mix of both for dessert!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving! I love it when it's celebrated also by those "offshore"! Being thankful for our blessings knows no boundaries.

I'll admit I wasn't wowed this year and I flinched when I saw the gift as I got one of those for my son a while back and it was utter rubbish, Cheap plastic which broke after first use, it was swiftly returned lol BUT that is beside the point.

It's okay but does not compare to previous!

My favorite one is still the snowman who braved the long trip to the city to get a gift for his wife. Awesome.

Well the Christmas bug got the best of me last night! I'm just too curious to see what little Lu is going to think of the Christmas tree! I set up the sunroom tree. It only has 1 strand of lights around it - I always wrap the "trunk" in white lights & then I finished the rest of the strand around the bottom of the tree. I'll put another strand on to even it out, so there is lights on the whole tree, but I'm going to let it like that for now, until we see how she's going to do with it. So far she's not making much of it, but she sure was interested in what I was doing:

If time allows this weekend I might add the rest of the lights & maybe even the garland. Again, pending how much she tries to mess with it! I'm just so excited to have a tree up!!! It's amazing how fast that tree goes up compared to the main tree!! My hubby came home from work & the 1st words out of his mouth... "ARE YOU KIDDING ME????" :eek: HA! He'll get over it quick!! :D :p

TGIF, Christmas friends!

My yesterday was consumed with a customer visit/audit. They actually hired a consultant to audit our production/purchasing/receiving/safety practices, before they would agree to buy from us. That may be common, but it's a first for me. Anyway, it took ALL DAY, but we were approved. Another unusual event yesterday; it was so cold outside, I could see my breath! I know a lot of you are getting snow, but this was extraordinary for south GA!

It'll be in the low 60's today, and sunny. Nice!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Morning Everyone! Happy Veteran's Day. I know it's tomorrow but they sort of acknowledge it today since it falls on a weekend. Still working my way back to "normal" (well normal for me). My car wouldn't start so I dropped it at my mechanic. He thinks its the alternator. I haven't had any repairs on this car and have had it 40K miles so far. Doubt it's the battery cause I changed that less than 2 years ago. Anyway, just going to try to keep positive today that I will keep feeling better. Have a great Friday!

Happy Friday!
It’s going to be sunny today with highs near 37 degrees. Not too much going on here. I just finished cooking breakfast for my middle one, she has an opening shift. I’m having a cup of coffee now and I’m working on a menu plan and grocery list. Today I need to pick up a couple of things at Rite Aid and then I’m going to the butcher. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. Dinner will be beef stew and egg noodles. Should be a relaxing evening, we’ll be watching a hockey game and catching up on a couple of shows. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!
