Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning all. Another Thanksgiving in the books. It did not turn out exactly as I had thought it would this year, but memorable and enjoyable non-the-less.
Today is the big decorating day for me and since the weather is cooperating for the next few days, the outside portion should be a breeze. Inside the furniture has been rearranged, so it is ready to begin as well.
Just a couple of minor stops this morning at two stored (and the bank) and that is all for me away from home today.

Not too much going on here today. My husband has off from work the next three days so he’s going to pull out all of my Christmas decor. I’ll be chipping away at the decorating all weekend.

Good morning MMC..we had a great Thanksgiving and of course ate way too much!
I bought a couple of things online today and I am bringing my oldest daughter and her 2 friends to the mall. I will let them shop and I will go to Target and Home Depot to poke around the holiday section. I am going to decorate my mantle tonight and maybe the tree or that will definitely go up tonight or tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Friday morning! A mild day and it will be even warmer tomorrow, before temperatures going back down on Sunday, right on time for our work Christmas party. I have a small medical appointment in half an hour and then I'll be heading straight to work to help the social committee finish wrapping up presents and preparing party favours. Then my real work day starts at 1pm till close and it will be insanely busy. Even though Winners HomeSense doesn't have Black Friday deals, we are situated in a huge shopping area which will bring in tons of customers. Plus employees have 25% off on everything for the next three days and they received 20% off coupons to give friends and family, so I can only imagine how many more people that will bring in. I'm tired just thinking about the day ahead...Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning, Post-Thaksgiving and Current Black Friday Friends.
Yes, it is once again the dreaded Black Friday.
(Personally, I don't bother to fight the crowds but I do like to go out to the mall to watch them and get a bite to eat!)

But enough of that, let's get on with our remaining count:
Days to Christmas Day: 31 (ONE MONTH from TOMORROW!)


Chilly yesterday and it is supposed to be chilly again today with warmer weather predicted for tomorrow. It should be clear both days.
Currently, we are at 32 degrees here in the capital city.

Ohhh man!!! I think I am suffering from a Turkey hangover this morning. I just didn't want to get out of the bed at all this morning! But I am craving for those turkey leftovers!!!!!

Coffee is my best pal this morning. Good Morning to one and all, did anyone venture on out at midnight to go shopping? Not me, I was performing maintenance on my eyelids last night, checking for holes....

Today though, I think I am actually going to venture out some and just do some regular things and then come back home and get things done around here, like my laundry pile.

It's a beautiful sunny morning, the kitties are playing together nicely and chasing each other around the place. Last night, we kept them together all night for the very first time. It went very well. They really seem to like each other and the place was not too destroyed when I got up this morning. Lol, I woke up with these little paws, scratching under the bedroom door, wanting to come in and snuggle with us.

Well, off to BJ's this morning, enjoy your day!

A BUSY day ... this is my day for wrapping and packaging gifts that will be mailed, and preparing a few gifts that will go to the office, and making sure cards are ready to go. It's a bit early yet, but it's a big job getting all that done, and I like to get it out of the way on Black Friday. Looking forward to relaxing this evening and trying to unwind after going at it solidly all day.

Been a long day here too, shopping online, 3 stores, the mall etc. The Black Friday thing is just basically a "busy shopping day". Some stores had lines...and some had really nothing. It's not a nightmare like it used to be years ago. I got 60-70% of my Christmas shopping done today. That's kind of become my tradition too. And then this weekend into the first week or 2 of December I will tack on a few gifts that I still need.

Tonight, we watched Rankin and Bass, "Santa Claus is coming to town"! I love watching that, been doing it since I was a kid. It was the very first time that Jill had seen it, and she really liked it. I love watching all of those Christmas animations, every year, I look forward to it. Thursday night, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown is coming on at 8pm. I'm definitely watching that.

Midnight? Amateurs!!! We started at 4:30 Thanksgiving morning. Lol!!! Took a break to eat and were back out by 5pm. Slept a few hours and then headed back out yesterday. I could have been done by noon but decided to take my nieces out shopping for their mother and each other. Bad move. I called it quits at 7 last night.

Good Morning, MMC!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! My sister and her boyfriend hosted and had 30 of his family over along with me, my mom, and my aunt. We were kinda dreading it but it turns out that his family is pretty normal and can't stand him either. Lol!! Today is going to be about cleaning up around here and trying to get everything wrapped. Then more decorating if there's time. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Nice work! I like the back-lighted angel particularly.

Temps are mild here today, but it's supposed to be cold and windy tomorrow, so I put up a few lights and hung some outdoor ornaments on the hedge next to the front door. I'm not at all good with outdoor decorations ... I don't have a lot of physical strength or energy, and I don't do ladders ... but I like to get something out there to show we're feeling the Christmas spirit. I also let the Christmas tree show through the front window.

I'm pooped ... been flat-out busy since the day before Thanksgiving, and I'm not through yet! I have to sneak into my office tomorrow and decorate, so it's already in place on Monday morning. And I have two trees here that are lighted, but waiting for decorations. And cards to prepare for the card exchange. And ... well, it's all happy Christmas work!

Hello hello!!!! Greetings to all fellow noggers!! Firstly - love the backlit angel; she's inspired! Seems like ages since I've posted in here. Probably has been to be honest. Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. I'm feeling scarily organised. Scarily because I really don't do organised Apart from a few things, I have presents all in hand and am quietly confident with them. Great news is Bruce (my son) will be home for Christmas. He's currently teaching in Shanghai and spends his weekends cuddling pandas and climbing things. It'll be wonderful to see him even if it is only for a little while. To be fair, I'll give it maybe 2 days before we start niggling at each other but that's what we do and we're good at it Miss him so much but he's living the life and I wouldn't have it any other way <3
