Good Morning, MMC!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! My sister and her boyfriend hosted and had 30 of his family over along with me, my mom, and my aunt. We were kinda dreading it but it turns out that his family is pretty normal and can't stand him either. Lol!! Today is going to be about cleaning up around here and trying to get everything wrapped. Then more decorating if there's time. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
Glad your thanksgiving went better than expected!!! Hope you had fun decorating!! Have a good Monday!

Hello hello!!!! Greetings to all fellow noggers!! Firstly - love the backlit angel; she's inspired! Seems like ages since I've posted in here. Probably has been to be honest. Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. I'm feeling scarily organised. Scarily because I really don't do organised :) Apart from a few things, I have presents all in hand and am quietly confident with them. Great news is Bruce (my son) will be home for Christmas. He's currently teaching in Shanghai and spends his weekends cuddling pandas and climbing things. It'll be wonderful to see him even if it is only for a little while. To be fair, I'll give it maybe 2 days before we start niggling at each other but that's what we do and we're good at it :snowballMiss him so much but he's living the life and I wouldn't have it any other way <3
Nice to see you Maureen! How awesome you will get to see your son! Enjoy the holiday season!!!

Good Sunday morning! We had a dusting of snow, it's looking beautiful and peaceful as it's still dark out and there's not a soul on the streets. It won't stick long term though, as temperatures will be on the rise again. In fact looking at a 2-week forecast, temperatures won't get below the freezing point, but I know how that can change. Using this morning for last-minute preparations for our work Christmas party tonight. I had to work a half a day yesterday for new hires training, so my weekend was cut way short. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!
I hope your Christmas party went well last night!! xx
Snow??? We've had warm temps. Almost 60º today & tomorrow!! I hope you enjoyed!! :)
Have a great day!

Good morning ~
Merry Sunday!
Well I just ate the last piece of pumpkin pie from Thanksgiving for breakfast :)
I have lots to do today. I have three trees up and decorated so far. I have two more to go. I hope to start my village today as well. I have to talk my husband in to letting me decorate earlier next year, this is a lot of work. Can't wait until everything is up so I can sit back and enjoy all of it.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Pumpkin pie for breakfast = perfect!
I agree - everything takes so much time. I'm thinking maybe I should have taken my Thanksgiving down earlier so I was further along. Ah well, we'll get there!
Have a good day HMG!

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!

What a great week I've had! We spent last weekend through Wednesday in the Smoky Mountains, finding snow at higher elevations, touring the Biltmore House, and just relaxing, then we came home for a great Thanksgiving with family. Jacob & I went fishing Thursday afternoon, and had the BEST time!

Friday night, I along with a couple of my band mates, and other local musicians came together for an After-Thanksgiving Jam at a nearby popular brewery. I had such a great time being on stage again! We had a packed house, and a very responsive audience (which is always appreciated ;) ).

Yesterday, we had lunch with Nancy's niece & her new boyfriend, then we bought our Christmas tree and brought it home! We're decorating this afternoon.

I hope everyone's week has been as awesome as mine!

And I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Sounds like you had a really great week all the way around! I'm glad you enjoyed!!!
Welcome back to Monday! o_O

Good morning everyone.

Well today is the last day of Thanksgiving break. Three and a half weeks of school until Christmas break!

Plans for today: lesson planning, watch my poor Cleveland Browns, take my wife to see a Janet Jackson concert in Indianapolis this evening, get home really late and be tired for school tomorrow. lol
I bought the tickets to see Janet Jackson as a Christmas present TWO years ago!! Janet, then got pregnant and delayed the tour. Finally, we get to use the tickets.

Well, everyone have a wonderful Sunday!
Hope you enjoyed the concert & you're not toooo tired today!
And we have another Cleveland Browns loss! We're use to it! ;)
Have a good day!

Good Sunday morning everyone! It was such a nice relaxing Thanksgiving weekend. It was just my husband and I for dinner this year, and we said we weren't going to cook that much, but ended up with almost a full Thanksgiving meal including a new recipe I tried for maple bacon cornbread made in a cast iron skillet! Boy was it good!! I did not do any shopping this weekend but plan to check out cyber Monday tomorrow. We got our live tree last Wednesday and had it all ready and decorated for Thursday morning as is our tradition. Then, it was also our anniversary this weekend and we opted to celebrate it with a nice quiet evening at home, which was fine with me! I'm not a fan of crowds! Today I'm making spaghetti (need to eat something totally turkey unrelated!!) and will watch football and work on some cards! I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!
Happy Anniversary!

Happy Cyber Monday MMC! That was one heck of a week wasn't it? As I have said a few times now in a few threads that's the best week of the year. But not to look back we have some pretty amazing and some of the best days ahead of us. Got most of my Christmas shopping done. Feel like I had a month off work. Better get back into the grind today. Anyone see Rudolph is on Tuesday? Have a great Cyber Monday!
I don't feel like I had any extra days off - they went too fast! LOL
Oooh, I'll be tuning in to Rudy tomorrow night!!! :D
Have a great day Edge!

Well, tree is up!! Slade has been listened to, and National Lampoons was watched :) The Mrs baked rudolf-shaped biscuits, and we generally sat around trying to get over the flu.

.. unfortunately i was unable to defend my "title" in my sporting event on saturday, but that's no big deal - martial arts while sick is NOT recommended!

2/3 obstacles overcome - one more now (i think), and then the gloves are off for chrimmbooooo!

Got some lovely Celtic Christmas songs on atm:

Hope all have a great week, and don't do all yer dosh in one place on Cyber Monday!

Hope you're all feeling better!!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Monday!
My husband heads back to work today after a four day weekend. Back to my regular routine, typical day of errands and chores. I didn’t get to do any Black Friday shopping so I’m going to see if I can find some good Cyber Monday deals.
I hope everyone is well and has a great week ahead!
xx
Good luck with Cyber shopping. I'm looking myself!

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 15 **

Good Morning, Friends.
And thus we begin week THREE of Christmas Season 2017.
(Remarkable that we have advanced this far into the Season already, isn't it?)

Our remaining count:
Days to Christmas Day: 28 (FOUR WEEKS from TODAY!)

(You read that right -- FOUR weeks!)

It was a little chilly here yesterday, but sunny and calm.
We should be into the 60's now for the next several days, for afternoon highs.
Starting off a bit chilly though, at a frosty 33 degrees here this morning.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!
Thanks crown. Hope you have a marvelous Monday too!

Does anybody have the Amazon Echo? I'm thinking about getting one - Cyber Monday - but not sure how much we would really use it. What are your thoughts? We don't have a "smart home" - my iPhone connects via Bluetooth to a speaker for music. What would be the benefit of an Echo w/ Alexa?

I cracked up Saturday morning, I walk downstairs to see this:

Of course my 1st thought was Clark Griswold...SQUIRREL!!!
Oh Lucy!!! :p :D

I ordered a couple of the Echo Dots for the kids. Each came with an electrical outlet plug, so you can say, "Alexa, turn on the lamp". That should be a lot of fun, assuming it all works.

I like the idea of telling it to set an alarm, or to look up something on the internet.

Playing the gig last Friday night. Me on the left, Cousin Ed playing keyboard on the right.
