Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning all and I trust the past few days were great for everyone and their families. Four days off and now back to work (this evening anyway). I don't think I posted any of the inside or outside of the house this year, so I will do a few over the next couple of days. Won't be long before the outside comes down and the inside towards the end of January.
Have a fantastic last week of 2017...

I took it easy yeaterday and had a relaxing day. All of that running around for the past couple of weeks caught up with me. I need to do some food shopping today. I also have to return something at the mall. And I’m hoping to get to Hallmark at some point to check out the Christmas sales. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. This is a picture of the cupcakes my daughter decorated for Christmas ~

Oh hi, Everyone!

Just sleeping in a bit late today. You know. No countdown to run this week.
Makes me feel a little bit lazy.
(I'm sure Binger would have something to add to that!)

Anyway, hope everyone is continuing to enjoy the waning days of Christmas Season 2017 and is getting all geared up for the launch of Christmas Countdown 2018 at midnight Jan 1, when we bid farewell to this thread which will forever be frozen in time as an immutable part of MMC history.
(Kind of sad, but a bit majestic at the same time, isn't it?)

Cold here and it's only going to get colder as we declined to the teens in the coming days. At least the chance of precipitation has been reduced.
We are at 37 right now and this could be the warmest weather we see for the next two weeks or so.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks.
And hey! The Christmas decorations are sill up at the 'Pines and it remains festive.
Be sure to visit this evening as Carl tries to unload all the leftover green and red frosted fired twinkies at never-before-seen bargain prices.
Hope to see you all there!

Happy First-Pinesday-After-Christmas, Christmas friends!

We had a great Christmas! My brother took his family to spend it with his wife's family in South Carolina, but they stopped by with the baby on Christmas Eve for a while. Nancy and Elizabeth got to hold her, and feed her, and play with her for a long time. She's such a sweet little girl!

I got up early Christmas morning and put some turkey breasts and some sausage in the smoker, and it was awesome at lunch, if I do say so myself.

I spent the afternoon yesterday helping Mama buy a new car. She got a cool little Altima, and I hope she loves it.

We're going to Atlanta on Friday for Elizabeth's Christmas gift. We got her a tour of the set of The Walking Dead, so that should be fun LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning ... baby it's cold outside and it's going to get colder. Made another trip to Walmart last night we picked up few more outside Christmas decorations and picked up Christmas cards for next year. Going to spend today cleaning up the living room. There are gifts all over the place so I think today will be a good day to the new clothes washed and tidy up under the tree. In no rush to take anything down inside or outside. Still enjoying all the lights and decorations.

Happy Third Day of Christmas!

Like other folks have mentioned, we're entering a cold snap here, with highs below 20F and lows around 0F. I have the day off today, but I woke up feeling headachy, so I may just take it easy and watch movies. If I get the energy later I'll get ingredients for my annual New Year's Eve batch of Chex Mix---made just for me!
 
Good morning MMC!

Another cold day here, it was -18 c with the windchill of -26 again, supposed to stay cold for at least another week.
Back to looking after my little sweetie this week.
My amaryllis plant is finally about to bloom. I was hoping it would do so for Christmas but for New Year’s is good !
I will post a picture when it’s fully blooming.

Morning all!! Christmas clearance is almost wiped out here in most stores. I went to 6 different places just to find holiday M&M's for my CIJ party. Otherwise I have to make a 60 mile round trip to a party store for them in the off season.
