Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

After the funeral yesterday, I was driving back home through a nearby town when I saw something in the road. A tree hangs over part that part of the 5-lane highway, so I thought it was a fallen limb. I started to cross into the next lane to avoid it when I realized it was a child standing in the road! He couldn't have been more that 2 years old, facing away from oncoming cars. AND CARS WERE JUST GOING AROUND HIM!! I used my truck to block both of the lanes of traffic that he was near, then jumped out, grabbed him and ran to the side of the road. A couple ladies who saw this stopped and called 911, and a few minutes later a girl approx. 10 years old came from a nearby house and said he was her brother. Apparently, no parent was around and the children were left at home. The ladies gave the girl a stern talking-to about watching the younger children, and she took the boy home.

I can't believe how careless some people are with their children, AND HOW PEOPLE ON THE ROAD JUST DROVE AROUND THIS LITTLE BOY AND KEPT GOING!!:mad:

Sorry, my blood pressure is still up about this whole thing.

I hope y'all have a great day! :)

Oh man, that is so messed up. Praise the Lord you were paying attention to what was in front of you. Maybe, it was meant to be, for you to be there when you were. Just a thought that you were to save that boys life.

Your a good man!

Happy Saturday evening to one and all. It sure was a nice day today. We decided on taking a 50 mile road trip, to go up to a furniture store in another county. It was a successful trip. After looking at so many different furniture stores where we are located at, for a bedroom set, and not finding anything that we liked. We found several that we really liked and after some thoughtful considerations, we decided on one and we purchased it.

4-6 week turn around time. But, that works out great for us, timing wise, for our move to our new home. I’m telling you, a bedroom set (including king bed and mattresses) are not cheap!

It was a nice trip and purchase, because we both liked and agreed upon the choice of bedroom furniture for our new home and were completely aligned with that decision.

We ended up with a little over 9 inches. Almost doubling what we had all winter long.

I may have watched a Christmas movie or two. Lol!!

Happy Rudolph Day #3 MMC! Hope you are all having a good weekend. Just going to my Uncle's for the evening. Should be a fun day. We are finally going to see more normal early spring temps coming up this week. I can not wait for that. Make it a good Palm Sunday!

The Flu.... Sheeze, it’s getting late in the season for that. That’s gotta kind of tick him off just a bit. To go thru all of winter and to catch it now, in spring; that really bites!

I sure hope he recovers from it soon and that no one else catches it.

Thank you xmastidings ~
My husband is not too happy about it. He had his flu shot this year too.
Hope you have a great day :)

Happy Sunday everyone! Not too much going on here. I straightened up the house and started laundry so far. I fried meatballs and have a pot of sauce simmering, I’m making raviolis for dinner. I’m just having my coffee and playing with Rocky right now. I may run to Barnes & Noble when the puppy takes a nap just to get out for a little bit. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good Morning, Guys!

Part II of the first weekend of spring.
I hope it goes at least as well for you as part I did.

This may help bolster your chances:
Days to the Season: 233
Days to Christmas Day: 275

And if that isn't enough, then surely this will be:
Tomorrow.
That's right. I said TOMORROW.
We will have completed the entire first 1/4 of our Christmas Day count.
And that in turn will place us near the threshold of back-to-back binary Milestone markers, the identities of which will knock your Christmas socks off.

Our weather? Cold and rainy the entire day yesterday.
Today? More cold, but less rain.
We have commenced things here in central NC at 40 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks!
(Go Duke!!)

Good morning, gang. Hope all is well in your part of the world. Things are going well here. Had a little scare last night, but we are fine. Bambina was sitting on the counter while I was cooking. I turn to stir some food and she falls off, backwards, and lands flush on her back and head. SCARED THE BEJEZUS out of me! We went to an urgent care to have her checked and they said if it was a couch or bed, they wouldn't sweat it....but since it was a counter top, she needed a CATSCAN. They looked her over, came in, and said all clear...

WHEW.

Needless to say, I got lectured on the way home by Doc for letting her sit on the countertop and play (rightfully so). I just sit there and nodded my head and said I know, I know.

Y'all, talk about grateful...whew. Good news is that I have some ribs cooked and ready to eat...so I don't have to cook supper tonight. Bad news is I am sure that I could have gone out to eat 20 times for what we paid for the cat scan. That's ok, I would pay as much money as I could for peace of mind and knowing our little girls is ok.

Y'all have a good day!

The local news here in mid-Michigan had a report on the other day that a different strain of flu is becoming more prevalent than the strain that was the cause of the epidemic earlier in the season. :(
