Christmas Countdown - 2018

Hello all,

I stayed home from work/school today. I developed a bad migraine last night and it was worse this morning.

Feeling at least functional now, but still cannot totally get rid of the headache. It lingers on. I am sure the crazy weather is not helping. The other day we had really high pollen, and now freezing temperatures.

While staying in bed and on the couch all day I did listen to a few hours of light Christmas music in the background.

Merry Pines Day!
It’s going to be a nice day, mostly sunny with highs near 55 degrees. My middle one is heading in to the city today, her boyfriend is graduating from the police academy. He will officially be an officer for the NYPD, so proud of him. Not too much going on for me, just a typical day of errands and chores. I’m going to stop at Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick up a couple of things for my oldest’s apartment. They’re getting very close to moving in. So exciting. I’m making raviolis with meatballs for dinner. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day. See you tonight!

And what's at the center of our attention today is the looming presence of not one, but TWO Milestones, expected to arrive very soon.

Let's first look at today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 209
Days to Christmas Day: 251

And behold!
We are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to BOTH of our next two markers, the first being the ONE-THIRD Christmas Day point and the second, the 200-Day Season Window.
The former arrives in 8 days and the latter in 9.
(Approaching a dual Milestone home stretch, Guys!)

Chilly again yesterday after a morning start in the 30's.
Today's high? Predicted to be 82.
Tomorrow? 68 degrees.
Tomorrow night? 40.
("Roller coaster" weather, I call it. Not uncommon this time of year in NC.)
Our current thermometer reading is 48 degrees.

Hey. Guess what? It's 'Pines Day, again. And so soon! (Seem like it was just here this time last week.)
Check out what Carl and crew are up to this evening at our fascinating inn of choice. You just never know what that camel might have in store.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! It sure is nice to see sunshine!!!!

Not much going on today besides work. Tonight we are meeting a couple girls at the local watering hole for pizza. We are all interviewing each other to see if they are interested in helping with Mom this summer. They are both seniors in HS, going into nursing. 1 will be working at a nursing home this summer - not sure about the other. But they both showed interest in helping out if we need some times filled in. Both come from awesome families, so I think they would be great! xx

Morning MMC. Was good to be back at work yesterday and see my co-worker after he lost his unborn baby last week. He was surprisingly acting like himself although I know it has to be something that takes time to feel normal again. And speaking of normal, can the weather ever start acting it? I was freezing yesterday going outside and then we saw sleet and snow flakes mixed in. It's going to be MAY in 13 days and we're still freezing more than feeling warm. Slow spring! Have a good day!

MAYBE after this week we'll get out of the freezing temp cycle!!! xx Have a good day Edge!

Thanks made! Me too!! My sister sent a message today saying she's going to bow out of mom care at least for the summer. Her knee & hip are bothering her, so transferring mom isn't easy on her. And she's going to be gone most weekends helping take care of her granddaughter. Gah!
